Chris Read from the Norbury branch helped us find our perfect home, and working with him was an absolute delight. He was a credit to the Estate Agency industry; professional, knowledgeable, friendly and punctual. In what is almost unheard of in our experience of Estate Agents, Chris wasn't pushing for a sale every minute of the visits he took us on, which made the whole experience a lot less stressful. Chris's relaxed style made us actually spend far more time with him and looking at homes he suggested, as we felt he really listended to our needs. Chris has real passion in his work and though we won;t be selling for a very long time, when we do, we'll ask Chris to act for us. Very disappointing service here, we dealt with Ellen and she was very rude. When we asked simple questions she was passive aggressive and not very kind in response. I would not recommend renting or letting your house out with Gordon and Co Battersea long term as they go through letting agents constantly and do not handover their work correctly, meaning there is constant confusion and miscommunication which they then blame on their clients.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

I’d definitely give them zero stars if it was an option. Our property manager never once referred to us by our names- a basic courtesy she lacked. After a year of shoddy, unreliable service in a damp home, they tried to snatch over 80% of our deposit for things like replacing a hob in perfect working condition and cleaning. They didn’t even return the undisputed part of our deposit- the Tenancy Deposit Scheme had to do that for us and saw that much of Gordon & Co’s claims were unfounded so we got most of our deposit back. Would strongly recommend that renters avoid these ruthless sharks unless you want to be subjected to unnecessary stress and have your hard-earned money put at risk. After renting several properties over the last decade I can honestly say this lot are the worst I’ve ever had to deal with.

I contacted Gordon & co about 2 different properties and it took over a week for them to get back to me. Upon hearing back I was told that because I was new to the UK (moved from the US) that my salary would not count toward rent and that my husband’s salary would need to cover the entire rent. I have never left a google review before but this warranted one. I was asked if I could provide additional rent up front to cover the cost. I am here on a valid visa, working for a top London employer and this company has the audacity to say that my salary doesn’t count? Don’t rent from this company. EVER.

Sold a property in Stockwell (Grant House) via Gordon & Co Battersea. I've known Kevin Sowah for a few years. His patience and knowledge of the market and sale process were very impressive. Upon noting what my requirements were, he set about doing his stuff, checking in periodically and came back with a deal. I had an incredible experience with Gordon & Co. when house hunting and Becky Scrivener, a Lettings Negotiator made all the difference. She was always responsive, sometimes even outside working hours and was very patient when answering my (numerous and arduous!) questions. The circumstances in which I was looking to rent were quite peculiar, which made it all the more stressful at the onset. However, Becky understood the nature of my situation and went above and beyond to provide creative solutions which she skilfully negotiated with the landlord to ensure that both parties could reach an agreement. Big thanks to Gordon & Co team

I read a handful of negative reviews, which is contrary to mine and my wifes experience. We have just completed a four year tenancy. Gordon & Co staff (Shan and later Ashlee) have been great throughout. Inevitably, we have had minor issues with the property on a few occassions, yet Gordon & Co have always been very responsive and dealt with the issues as swiftly as possible, with delays only arising from landlord or external technicians.
