TrustpilotDM & Co Homes did us proud
DM & Co Homes did us proud going above and beyond our contract with them. They were honest, reliable and kept our expectations on track. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Particular thanks to Kathy G who was absolutely brilliant and a real asset to their team.

TrustpilotFantastic experience!
Great experience with Matthew Perry, he was very accommodating organising our viewings (even the last minute ones) and seeing our move out until completion helping right up until we got the keys. I had doubts about moving house in the middle of a pandemic but it was so smooth and nothing was too much of an ask, no matter how many times I called Matthew and asked a million questions. Huge thank you

TrustpilotExtremely disappointing sales experience
It is a real shame when ideal opportunity to acquire a family home is missed due to errors made by an estate agent. It later transpires that vendor accepted a lower offer for the sale of his property. The real questions are; what was the cause of those errors? were they really errors? why was the lower offer accepted and higher offer rejected?

TrustpilotTerrible Service! DO NOT USE!
First time renting, we went to view the property told the agent we were interested.Three weeks on we've had no contact from them to ask if we are still interested or whether the landlord liked us after filling in an application form for them with details of our salaries and contact information! It took them 3 days to send the form and when we received it we believed it was the wrong one! Poor at answering the phone in the first place as well! Obviously only interested in actually selling houses not letting them. Absolutely appalling. good job we've found somewhere else to view or god knows how many times we've have to chase them up to find anything out.

TrustpilotCorrupt - selling a house before viewings.
Went to view a property today, told we were first ones to view property. Immediately called to make an offer and was told an offer was already in place from someone who hadn't viewed property yet. Estate agent who showed us around told us there were no bids. Clearly these people are inventing bids hoping you out bid these and they get a bigger % fee. Don't buy from these estate agents, clearly corrupt and dodgy. I noticed 18th Jan review on here showed exact same thing happened before. They wasted our time and anyone else who views it after us, and potentially lying to pump up price.

Although I didn't purchase a house through DM & Homes, I was very impressed with the way I was kept informed of any houses for sale in the area I wanted and the price range. Should I move again, I would have no hesitation in using this company again.

TrustpilotWhere do I start?
Where do I start?Poor communication, apparently the vendor was told on several occasions something different from my verbal or email, we actually had sold a property and were 'ready to go' but also had alternative accommodation for 6 months.... Within this pandemic with 2 of us working full-time it would have been useful to have fulfilled the promises made that they could let us know of if any further offer was made on the property....Absolutely astonished at the moment... I have no words!!!

TrustpilotPoor experience
Poor experience, saw a house, rang up the same day it had been listed, told me I was the only person interested and that I could view it Saturday afternoon! 9am next morning he said it had sold wouldn’t let me view!! A lot of lies and mis- guidance!! Poor customer service. Not a good agent at all!!

I had to take them to court to get 8 months of rent paid to me. They collected the money ftom the tenants and then refused to pay the rent to me making up a list of excuses none of which were valid. I had to ask the tenants to pay the rent directly to me and then then threatened my tenants. I won at court. But you always lose as you pay costs. Don’t go to them for lettings or sales as they are run and owned by the same corrupt person Sam Sharif.

TrustpilotPoorly managed sales progress
I was left to fend for myself as soon as the sale was agreed. I was initially sold DM & Co as being different from the competition and their fees reflect this. There was no email or call after sale agreement other than in reaction to my calls. I have been left to manage the sales process and ask the telling questions. To elaborate. There was no proactivity nor satisfactory due diligence of purchaser’s proof of funds, (in my opinion). They took the purchasers word on all claims made and didn’t check the veracity of their statements. They didn’t cross reference with the purchaser’s agents until I suggested this. On more than one occasion I had to suggest they check the purchaser’s statements. The purchaser didn’t instruct his solicitor until 2 months after the sale was agreed. This has cost me time and money. This agency is more expensive than others though they fall short of their claim to warrant the cost by being superior to their competitors. Their only claim is in achieving a sale that I agreed that could still fall through. I have a further property to sell next year and I would think long and hard before considering them again unless their practices changed.

Dear Mr. Williams,It is with surprise I read your comments and sadly feel a response is absolutely necessary.I note we were the third agent in over a year you had instructed. On the 5th of November 2020 we successfully agreed a sale within five weeks of being on the market, the chain was checked and complete, all due diligence and proof of funds on our system and the chain was checked with the other estate agents involved to ensure all their due diligence was received. There is over forty entries on our system consisting of calls & emails to you, your purchaser and solicitors from the sale agreed date to today’s date. With regards to the buyer’s instructions to their solicitor not happening for two months. We find this an odd statement to make as the sale has only been agreed for just over two months.I can confirm that the purchasers solicitors were instructed and had completed all initial paperwork and returned to the solicitor, this you were made aware. However, they had not paid initial search monies, which I believe is what you are referring to. As you are aware they were awaiting a decision on their related buyer’s mortgage before they proceeded with survey and initial monies being paid for searches. With regards to DM & Co being more expensive. The service we have provided in marketing and successfully securing a sale (where other agents failed) shows that we are in fact proactive in our approach.Taking all the above into account, I am satisfied that DM & Co have acted in your best interest in achieving a sale and working to ensure a satisfactory outcome. It comes as no surprise to us, that you have elected for a public ‘shaming’ off the back of requesting a reduction in our fee where you had suggested that if the fee not be reduced, that you would withdraw from the sale - something that you have not yet done, instead serving notice on us and asking us to maintain the sale process.Regards,Denny MaguireHead of Operations

TrustpilotSafe as houses
Moving is a bit of a headache. Moving during a pandemic is another level. But thanks to the team at DM&Co, I had a headache-free experience. They kept me up to date on the whole process, reassured me when I was chasing solicitors and went above and beyond throughout. I can't recommend them enough.

Short, unresponsive team who despite the tag line of “here to help you get there” have provided no such help. Have applied for several properties as well as emailed to ask for guidance moving to a new city with rude responses that they are unable to support.

TrustpilotAbysmal Letting Service
They have demonstrated on multiple occasions their absolute lack of care for my property or my business. Most months I have had to chase my invoices. When there is an issue they take weeks to resolve. They have never (to my knowledge) visited my property to check on its maintenance despite me paying for a fully managed service, and despite me raising concerns that the tenant was not adequately cleaning / caring for the property. Now the tenant has vacated, and the property has been left in a unclean state with personal effects left behind, utility and council tax bills not paid for their duration of their rental period. They are constantly advocating for the tenant - as with other reviewers - you have to wonder who is paying them for their service - because they clearly feel that the landlord paying for their 'managed service' is not their primary concern. They have also provided legally incorrect advice (on when the deposit needs to be released) - something basic like this is unforgiveable. My advice to anyone looking to find a letting agent is to avoid this company at all costs.By far my worst experience of letting agents.

TrustpilotUnfortunately they fall short of what I…
Unfortunately they fall short of what I would expect from a letting agent. I haven't asked much from them in nearly 8 years , however , when I did encounter some issues they became nothing more than messengers between myself and the tenents. Didn't really take a stance to help me , just sat on the fence. I asked for quotes for work , they did not provide any so I sorted them myself. They checked out a property as all good which wasn't the case , I don't even think they visited for the checkout in the first place. Now I am chasing the gas/ elec readings and also the utility company name , they don't know any of this .

These people are disgusting they sold me a place and it took almost 2 years for me to finally get my title because of that they sued me for rent that I refused to pay due to them not giving me my title went to the judge won the verdict got sued again a year later new judge who he obviously was in with went in their favor and now at Christmas they are taking everything from me I’ve put thousands into this property that should have been torn down never got it finished because of the title and now I have the title and they are able to take it all when I did nothing wrong but try to protect my investment .. I’m now going to be homeless with two kids even longer because of them ..
