Having rented in London for over a decade, I know how hard it is to find a good lettings agency and Russell and Tamara at DM &Co really stand out from the crowd. From my first contact they were very professional and friendly. When a landlord refused our tenancy application on a first property due to my needing a guarantor, they were empathetic and compassionate and really fought our corner. They were even happy to give us advice later as we continued our search and came up against some less scrupulous agencies. When a second suitable property came up, Russell remembered us and contacted us straightaway for a viewing and as a result we now have a lovely new rental property to call home.
Unlike a lot of agents I have had to deal with, they are extremely transparent, and were happy to answer any questions we had regarding the tenancy agreement, deposits etc. I have encountered plenty of estate agencies who either don't bother to update their knowledge appropriately, or who will try to keep you in the dark just to see what they can get away with. At DM & Co there is none of this, just an honest, professional approach from a small, local team who obviously know the area well.
We have been in our new property for nearly three months now and so far everything has gone off without a hitch - they are very responsive and helpful when communicating with our landlady regarding any queries we have, anything that has gone wrong in the property or anything else we have needed so far. So a big thank you to Russell and Tamara - if only more agencies were like you.
Update (December 2025): after 5 years renting our much-loved property in Northolt, we have now moved on. The check out process went really smoothly and DM&Co were very human and flexible when we weren't quite sure of the timeline for moving out. Thank you both for your hard work and efficiency over the past 5 years - communication has always been great and it has been a pleasure to deal with you.

The person who was involved with the respective situations is no longer generally associated with the Company and although she had her own style of trying to help potential Tenants, I am concerned that these people had cause to complain about our service shortcomings. GoogleAfter having an offer accepted, the agency continued taking offers from others without informing us that they would be doing so. I appreciate vendors want better offers, but why not be honest about it? Bearing in mind this was done after doing all their due diligence, having shared our personal and financial details. Truly disappointed in how they have managed this. This felt sneaky, dishonest and a total waste of time.
When I addressed this directly to Russell, he completely ignored it and responded with nothing other than "We'll remove your details from the system".
Utterly unprofessional, I wouldn't even look at properties through this agency again!

We are naturally very disappointed that your purchase of our Client’s property could not continue and very much regret not having another suitable property to offer you.
Late on Saturday afternoon we had a request from a very well-known to us and established Investor to see the property. If they were to proceed, they robustly vouched to complete very quickly and there was no related sale, and their finances were completely in place already.
As Agents we had to report this to our Client for instructions, who also asked as to our post Offer checks on your position, and we had to update our Client on your altered position.
The Client was concerned about this and gave us permission to show the property again.
We had never promised that the property would not be shown again. You had also not requested this.
Normal policy is always to keep showing until a satisfactory Mortgage Offer is issued at least.
The Investor saw the property, wished to purchase it, gave a slightly higher offer amount, and gave assurances that Completion would be within a month once more.
We took instructions from the Client, a Personal Representative who had to consider what was in the best interests of the Estates various beneficiaries, who decided to accept this new offer for both more funds, and more importantly security that it would proceed urgently and in a straightforward manner.
At the earliest opportunity on Monday, the horrible task of informing you by telephone was carried out.
We are once more most sorry to not be able to help you in this property’s purchase.

GoogleThe WORST customer service I have ever experienced!
Very rude female staff member, who stated she was the Managing Director. She had no respect for us as customers, made us feel unwelcome after travelling 90 mins to view a 3 bedroom property. The staff member looked at us and told us we were not suitable for the property and stated she didn't want to show us the property, after we had given all our requirements and details over the phone. We are three professional females with full-time jobs, so I found this unbelievable.
When we were finally allowed to see the property, it was in no liveable condition, smelt strongly of smoke, dirty and unclean. We were not allowed to take any photos of the property. I was appalled with her attitude and behaviour towards us, as well as the standard of properties the company felt were acceptable to advertise.
I would not want anyone else to experience this sort of service, so I strongly advise AVOIDING this agency if you want to be respected and treated fairly as a tenant, as she seemed to view potential tenants as the enemies, which is a very odd business strategy for a letting agency!

The Gentlemen concerned contacted us this morning by telephone following his Emailed enquiry.
We had, in reply to his Email, stated that unfortunately the property could not be offered as new Carpets were about to be installed, and the Landlord regretfully, who is a pet lover as we are, wouldn’t be able to accept two cats and two dogs to live in the One Bedroom property with the Couple.
The gentleman when calling was very unreasonable, very agitated, offensive, abusive, and unfortunately, his swearing wasn’t helping the fact that our client was making a reasonable decision in unfortunately rejecting his application to see the property.
We try to help everyone as much as we possibly can, but unfortunately some people’s circumstances and thereafter manner don’t allow us to sometimes!
We respectfully advised that we could not help as the Landlord for the one Bedroom House in question was just about to have new carpets installed.
