I did have contacted DJ Alexander 3 times. The first time I made an appointment for viewing another apartment on Sunday with confirmation. However, nobody did notify me in advance that the appointment should be cancelled due to that apartment was sold on that Friday already. I believe that it should be a basic manner to provide notification of cancellation to their client at once.For purchasing my current apartment, I did actually have sent a request for viewing it in December but no reply. I only receive the reply after having sent a second request in January. Also, the agent could not answer me where the bin room or the bike room. The agent could not confirm which parking space was the allocated parking space while viewing the apartment. I would expect the agent would be more professional to know more details of the apartment for informing their client(s).Finally, upon settlement of the purchase of my current apartment, I did have to go to the Agency to collect the keys of my apartment twice. I would expect the Agent should collect and pass all keys of my apartment once only.

Imran - The best property manager

At 1st, i was a bit suspicious of renting with DJ Alexanders with the negative comments I have seen. Trying to get a viewing was difficult and i had a few appointments cancelled on the day. When i got the viewing the Property Manager Imran, explained to me why they were cancelled which is understandable. (If the LET has been agreed there is no point of continuing with the viewing.) I applied for a few properties and some I got rejected which was no part of DJ Alexander's, it was this the landlord's decision. After being accepted by a property, I have successfully moved in.When the key handover/ Check-in happened, Imran showed me how to use the heating systems and which right department to contact if there were any issues.

Fantastic experience Giulia was lovely from the get-go incredibly informative and helpful and lovely in person. The whole process was really quick and they kept us updated about our application progress. We got the house which we absolutely loved and 3 months in we are really impressed with the service and care provided. I would highly recommend Guila and DJ Alexander. Also a mention to Christin who was genuinely lovely dealing with our application. Whenever we needed anything Guila and Christin were available to answer any questions.

I was a tenant with DJ Alexander for 9 years, between two properties, and for the vast majority of the time my experience was excellent.When something needed fixing, it would be organised and sorted within a few days, including a time when we found the wiring in the flat needed essentially redoing.I think the only thing I’d say was a bit lacking is communication was a little bad for the first few years (but I think this has since been fixed with software for tracking issues)Honestly, looking back I don’t think I had much to complain about? I’ve always felt a little awkward recommending DJ Alexander because I know their reputation with colleagues and friends but I truly haven’t had this experience myself.

Avoid. Firstly, when they bought over previous agent there was a noticeable drop in engagement and customer service from them. Too big a company to care. Didn’t have an inspection in the year we had them. Took 5 weeks to fix a boiler last year - no hot water and no desire from them to ensure quick fix. Both them and landlord reluctant offered 15% compensation from one month rent. Landlord now selling and has decided 8 months after boiler issue and are now refusing to pay compensation payment.Loved the flat but experience ruined by agent and landlord

Five years in Scotland and never had such a pathetic and apalling renting experience. Please for your own sanity and avoid renting a house through them all costs. The biggest joke of a company I've had the displeasure of dealing with for the last 1 year. People working there haven't got an iota of dignity and professionalism. Absolute crooks, have got no basic courtesies or manners on how to talk to tenants. They feel it's okay not to respond to emails or book a viewing or inspection and never show up. If you have the audacity to question their professionalism or dare to demand the money they rightfully owe you, you get shouted at. Their manager in kemnay branch named Lisa is the worst. They should really invest in staff training to teach them some politeness and manners. When it comes to vacating the property, they don't even have a basic courtesy to let tenant know receipt of the keys or about the potential timeline for returning the deposit. They failed to follow the government guidelines for returning the deposit and don't even begin process for weeks. Keep pursuing and you are told the property was left spotless but won't return deposit by giving endless spurious reasons to withhold your money. Then from no where, an outrageous sum for "minor cleaning" was charged and all you get is some random photos claiming dirt in corridor and smudge on a wine glass. In reality the photographs display not a single speck of dust and a wine glass with big reflection of flash light. The claims get even more ridiculous and you will be charged for preexisting damaged tables and crockery. The charges are unsubstantiated and they refuse to provide any before/after photographs. Dishonesty at its best! It's sad to see this agency is working according to its own whims and fancy, without a supervision from any regulating or external monitoring body. Please avoid this agency at all costs and save yourself from longterm grief and misery.
