Had a very positive and productive…

Had a very positive and productive experience with DJA in letting my property. I was dealing with Catherine Clark in the Aberdeen office. Cathy was extremely helpful, professional and focussed on securing a Tenant. I found it very easy dealing with Cathy who is very friendly and empathetic and fully understands the issues and challenges Landlords currently face. I was delighted with the outcome and would be more than happy to deal with Cathy again in the future. She comes highly recommended.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I recently contacted DJ Alexander requesting a copy of the certificate for the smoke alarms in the house I was about to sell. I spoke with a lovely lady called Emma Fairgrieve who was extremely helpful & promised to call me back with the details, which she duly did & e-mailed me a copy of the certificate. Good Customer service unfortunately these days cannot be taken for granted & this was excellent service. Emma is a credit to DJ Alexander & I wish her all the very best in her career.

Large well-run company with good system and staff

The staff are generally very helpful. When settling into our rental flat Alison was hugely helpful and coordinated a lot of loose ends to get the property in great condition. She was also incredibly helpful when going through the End of Tenancy Report and we were able to recoup of majority of our deposit as a result. During our tenancy, it would take a long time for our issues to be resolved but I suspect that is more to do with our landlord's response times, than DJ Alexander. DJ Alexander have a huge presence in Edinburgh and their system seems to work/scale well, based on our experience. Recommend the company!

Excellent and personal service!

Excellent and personal service! Our Glasgow flat had not been upgraded in years. The team at DJ Alexander, notably Stephanie in Glasgow, in charge of the flat, and Abigail in the Edinburgh office overseeing maintenance work and decoration, were top notch and keen to get the place in great condition. They succeeded wonderfully. Working in tandem they had the flat overhauled and looking better than when we first got it. Cannot thank Steph and Abigail enough. As for DJ itself, their online accounting and Internet integrated maintenance portal is a pleasure to work with. A proactive team and a professional company. Ticks all boxes. Very pleased.

I wouldn’t even give it a star if I…

I wouldn’t even give it a star if I could. Absolutely appalling behaviour from this company. What they aren’t telling you about these houses or at least my experience is the people.. or person.. surrounding it. And the cardboard like house. Every step I took was a complaint waiting to be made by the downstairs neighbour, after 4 years of complaints and begging the Dj Alexander to change the floor they COMPLETELY ignored and denied doing so. We experienced constant abuse and repetitive harassment from our down stairs neighbour meaning we had to contact the police and nearly order a restraining order, due to the constant noise. Due to the lack of ANY effort to change the floors. After contacting them to leave the apartment and find somewhere new they illegally tried charging a price for a reference. Which in Scotland is completely illegal. And if you had any sense youd think twice about doing that next time, the house was as thin as paper. You can’t walk around without hearing everyone’s conversation. And getting 14 bangs and a good few rude words from the downstairs neighbour. the furniture provided are as cheap as can get and fall apart after a year of not months. Sorry to the next person who has to deal with these people. Embarrassing. 🤢

Based on this phone encounter with wonder Ms Leandra Brown, I am very certain I met my dream property agency. I hardly remember when a professional service was so naturally human yet remaining within the professional scope. Leandra, from the very first second on the phone, made everything so easy and so logical to me, i.e., someone with less than elementary knowledge of the property market. Yasser Albassam and Leandra Brown Yasser Albassam - he helped me buy a flat. Quick, professional, proactive, and also human, kind, phoning as well as emails... so good I asked for him specifically when I wanted to sell a flat. He was just as great the second time around. I thought it couldn't get better.... ... Then I was passed to Leandra Brown who helped me do up the flat pre-sale. It got better. She identified what needed doing, she got quotes, she even negotiated at cost quotes on some aspects, I also got quotes and Leandra's were always cheaper and just as good, she phoned, emailed, was quick, never pressuring me to pay, she just got on with it, efficiently and professionally. Leandra also became a friend, I really grew to respect and like her on a personal level too (unexpected bonus). The result? Thanks to Yasser and Leandra I made £16,000 in under three years of owning the flat, which was sold within weeks of it being advertised. I have no personal stake in this real estate agency, but with staff like this, people will keep on coming back as clients. I did.

Abby was very friendly and professional when she helped me view a flat, which I later purchased. This review is from David Hall, using his wife’s Gmail a/c, as he doesn’t have a Gmail a/c of his own! DJ Alexander has just sold our daughter’s flat in Edinburgh. From start to finish the service received from Yasser, Leandra and the remainder of the team was exemplary. Yasser, in particular, made excellent suggestions on how the flat should be presented in preparation for marketing and throughout the sale process there were regular updates on progress. It was always possible to speak to someone at the company and there were prompt replies to queries. It was a real pleasure dealing with the staff who carried out their duties with confidence, professionalism, politeness and efficiency. There were a couple of occasions when the staff dealt with problems beyond the call of duty and I thank them for that. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend DJA to anyone wishing to sell a property.
