I had a confirmed viewing with DJ Alexander, arrived at the property on time, and even informed them that I was there. No one answered, and after waiting with no response, I had to leave. What makes this worse is that I was told afterwards that “the viewings before mine went successfully.” That is irrelevant! mine did not, and that is what mattered. The entire experience was unprofessional and a waste of my time. If an agency cannot handle something as basic as ensuring a prospective tenant can access a scheduled viewing, it raises serious concerns about their reliability.

Letting my Property II Assistance from Tenancy Prop Manager

I let my Property through Dj Alexander and the company was able to find the tenant quickly. There was quite a bit of work required to turn around and there were some delays however Amy O'Neil, End of Tenancy Property Relationship Manager was able to take charge close the pending works. She also found that some of the works were not required and was able to adjust this with the contractor and we added value in the bathroom. All in all, good service

Severe Mould, Ignored Repairs, and Breached Privacy

We had an absolute nightmare experience with this agency. We rented a house for £4110/month (2 single 2 double bedrooms) outside the town centre, and after moving in, we realised the house was full of mould, dirty, and had broken fixtures. It caused us health issues, and despite contacting the agency multiple times, we ultimately had to give notice to leave to protect our health. Their communication and customer service are incredibly poor, and they even breached the privacy and access rules of our contract. I highly recommend landlords and tenants stay away from this agency unless you want a terrible experience where your health and privacy are not respected. We reached out to DJ Alexander through the emergency request option as it was a bank holiday weekend and one of their employees, Mhairi Bain, responded and had a locksmith out to help us with our issue really efficiently. Lovely ladies Abby Grigg and Sarah McIntyre did the job confidently, professionally and with great respect and willingness to help. 5 Star Service. I recently viewed a property with Keiran one of the sales consultants at DJ Alexander and had a great experience. Keiran was extremely informative about the property and also offered helpful guidance on the rental side, which was especially valuable to us as investors. Although the property we initially viewed wasn’t the right fit, Keiran took the time to suggest alternative options and even booked us in for another viewing the following day. Could not be happier with the service from Sarah McIntyre and Sara Rankin , they were super efficient and helpful with the sale of our home in Edinburgh New Town. Renting through this agency has been an awful experience. We moved into the property and found severe mould issues, filthy conditions, and broken fixtures throughout. I did manage to remove mould myself initially - I just could not stand it and agency was taking forever to fix it, but because of underlying neglect and damp issues, it is already aggressively coming back.

We've had a positive experience with DJ Alexander. They fix urgent repairs, though de-prioritised repairs can take some time to get fixed. Their move-out process comes with a 3-page cleaning checklist. We duly completed everything on this list and got our full deposit back from the landlord. During our move out, they were very helpful in assisting with applications for other properties. Absolutely amazing Customer service , My husband and I have been with DJ Alexander for over 10 years letting out our property With Diane and Patrick managing it they both couldn’t be more helpful , All the teams in maintaining the property were excellent.We decided the time was right for us to sell up. We made the right decision to Have DJ Alexander as we trusted them to manage the sale for us absolutely delighted with this Service provided, As on Friday the 30th of November we completed .
