I am very grateful to Ryan COCHRANE from DJ Alexander. From the moment of us viewing the property to our application being accepted by the landlord, Ryan was extremely helpful, approachable and had amazing ability to listen. These skills were important to us as we were moving from England to Scotland so everything was communicated over the email and the phones. His exceptional kindness, patience, understanding and responsiveness made a tremendous difference for our overall experience of securing the property in Edinburgh. We highly recommend Ryan. Had a very positive and productive experience with DJA in letting my property. I was dealing with Catherine Clark in the Aberdeen office. Cathy was extremely helpful, professional and focussed on securing a Tenant. I found it very easy dealing with Cathy who is very friendly and empathetic and fully understands the issues and challenges Landlords currently face. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I recently contacted DJ Alexander requesting a copy of the certificate for the smoke alarms in the house I was about to sell. I spoke with a lovely lady called Emma Fairgrieve who was extremely helpful & promised to call me back with the details, which she duly did & e-mailed me a copy of the certificate. Good Customer service unfortunately these days cannot be taken for granted & this was excellent service. Emma is a credit to DJ Alexander & I wish her all the very best in her career.

Large well-run company with good system and staff

The staff are generally very helpful. When settling into our rental flat Alison was hugely helpful and coordinated a lot of loose ends to get the property in great condition. She was also incredibly helpful when going through the End of Tenancy Report and we were able to recoup of majority of our deposit as a result. During our tenancy, it would take a long time for our issues to be resolved but I suspect that is more to do with our landlord's response times, than DJ Alexander. DJ Alexander have a huge presence in Edinburgh and their system seems to work/scale well, based on our experience. Recommend the company!

Excellent and personal service!

Excellent and personal service! Our Glasgow flat had not been upgraded in years. The team at DJ Alexander, notably Stephanie in Glasgow, in charge of the flat, and Abigail in the Edinburgh office overseeing maintenance work and decoration, were top notch and keen to get the place in great condition. They succeeded wonderfully. Working in tandem they had the flat overhauled and looking better than when we first got it. Cannot thank Steph and Abigail enough. As for DJ itself, their online accounting and Internet integrated maintenance portal is a pleasure to work with. A proactive team and a professional company. Ticks all boxes. Very pleased.

We are renting a property through DJ…

We are renting a property through DJ Alexander and have had an issue with some of the locks within the property. We reached out to DJ Alexander through the emergency request option as it was a bank holiday weekend and one of their employees, Mhairi Bain, responded and had a locksmith out to help us with our issue really efficiently. The issue was resolved without any hassle and she made it super easy for us both. Thanks Mhairi!

From the first conversation, the team was proactive, professional and genuinely invested in achieving the best possible outcome. Everything was organised around our schedules, making the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. Dom, the photographer, did an outstanding job, the photos were stunning and showcased my flat beautifully, helping it stand out from the start. Elliot’s excellent sales skills and experience immediately put me at ease and gave me complete confidence in his judgement. Abby was fantastic at organising appointments and keeping us fully updated, particularly around the closing date, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. Kaiya worked hard behind the scenes on the schedule and marketing to really drive interest in our flat. Their attention to detail and communication were first-class throughout. I think DJ Alexanader is a good team. On moveing to the flat I find the extractor fan in the bathroom will not switch off ,due to a painter leaveing masking tape all around the edge of the extractor fan, But once removed it turned out that the fan switch does not work properly anyway. This might mean fitting a new extractor fan as I do not think you can replace just the switch. Hopefully my new fan will turn up soon. My only other concern is that the council contact me soon about the council tax I want to pay them. Apart from those two items I am happy. regards Derek Martin

Letting my Property II Assistance from Tenancy Prop Manager

I let my Property through Dj Alexander and the company was able to find the tenant quickly. There was quite a bit of work required to turn around and there were some delays however Amy O'Neil, End of Tenancy Property Relationship Manager was able to take charge close the pending works. She also found that some of the works were not required and was able to adjust this with the contractor and we added value in the bathroom. All in all, good service

Severe Mould, Ignored Repairs, and Breached Privacy

We had an absolute nightmare experience with this agency. We rented a house for £4110/month (2 single 2 double bedrooms) outside the town centre, and after moving in, we realised the house was full of mould, dirty, and had broken fixtures. It caused us health issues, and despite contacting the agency multiple times, we ultimately had to give notice to leave to protect our health. Their communication and customer service are incredibly poor, and they even breached the privacy and access rules of our contract. I highly recommend landlords and tenants stay away from this agency unless you want a terrible experience where your health and privacy are not respected. I have attached pictures of the conditions below.
