GoogleI rented a flat in glasgow for a year from this company. The problems started when the oven broke we called the agency to get a repairer out he came out checked it breifly and told us that it would be getting replaced and it took over a month for replacement we had to go to our parents houses to cook dinner. We got no compensation or reduction in rent which was inconvenient and we felt robbed. We then told them that we were moving out a month early because we were having a baby and the flat was no longer suitable for access with a pram etc . At the start all was going well the agency accepted we were leaving early so we left the flat cleaned it and left it in the condition we received it. We handed in the keys a day earlier than requested so I was therefore enraged when I was getting charged +£100 for cleaning even though I took my time to even repaint the walls and doors and fill in holes made in walls and the insulting £18.90 in rent arrears for staying an extra day even though we had returned the keys early and we have proof of that. I've tried contacting them multiple times just to get told that they have trouble contacting the Glasgow branch which seriously makes me wonder on the company's communication, either that or they are incapable of taking a complaint seriously. I also had staff over the phone that don't know how to deal with complaints taking my anger at the company almost as if it was a personal insult instead of a problem I was needing resolved. I feel the call staff don't know how to properly deal with customers and I even got a cheeky "good bye love" off of one of the phone staff which is what pushed me to write this review. I wish we never chose to rent from this company and I would recommend you avoid at all costs as the staff are rude, incompetent and cannot communicate amongst there branches which nowadays seems ridiculous. AVOID.

I am a current tenant with Dj Alexander and have been so since 2015. I have had the worst experiences throughout the years, I called them a month ago to inform them about a leak in the boiler, nothing serious but wanted to keep them informed so they could look into the matter before it got worst. I was than promised a call back to keep me updated on the situation, to my surprise, never got a call back on the progress of this maintenance issue. Called them again today and was informed that the maintenance issue was not even recorded. To add to this I was again promised a call back, fingers crossed and hopefully receive a call back and never have to go through this again. The only reason I write this review is because its not the first time I have had this kind of an experience with Dj Alexander.

GoogleRip off ! In short if you are putting down a deposit forget about getting it back. Even after doing the inventory you will still be charged for everything wrong with the house/flat before you moved in, no matter how much you clean and scrub up afterwards you would be charged hundreds of pounds for cleaning and let's not forget hundreds of pounds for repainting! Avoid .
