Great experience. They personally tailored the flats I viewed to what I wanted and helped me find the perfect one for me. They were also very helpful about letting me view the flats after I had finished work. Once I put an offer in they were helpful in promptly sending me the forms and also answering all my questions I sent them via phone and email. Everything went smoothly and I'd highly recommend them to other people!

If you're a student or otherwise first-time renter I would highly advise against leasing through Stonehouse. We had frequent problems with issues such as mould that took far too long to be fixed by Stonehouse. Stonehouse at one point let me know that they considered our landlord (who owned the house) to be stingy and hard to contact. Stonehouse lost our signed inventory packet detailing all of the damages pre-existing before our lease. I could go on, but will refrain. Just make sure to read all of the reviews before leasing. EDIT: As seen below, Stonehouse has reached out to damage control on my review. I can assure any readers that my flatmates and I were previously in contact during our letting, and it wasn't until Lisa Brebner, the Managing Director, got involved that anything was done.

We have recently just moved into a flat through the letting agency Stonehouse. Having privately rented for a numerous amount of years, with various different letting agencies, we can comfortably that Stonehouse are superior. During the move in process, Stonehouse were in constant contact keeping us informed. My enquiries were dealt with promptly and effectively. I had a great experience with Stonehouse. Katherine and Jessica were very helpfull helping me settling down in Aberdeen. The paper work was done promptly and the communication with the owner easily made. Jessica agreed to show me the appartment a second time and that really help me making a decision. Katherine was great at following up with all details and documents needed and manage to answer the hundreds of questions I had. I am still very pleased with my appartment and that is partly down to Stonehouse.

I'm really surprised to read all of those negative reviews, and I admit that at the beginning it put me off a little bit. However, mine and my flatmate's experience with Stonehouse was great on every stage: from viewing the flat, to singing the lease. We were in contact with 3 separate people in their Aberdeen's office and all of them very extremely nice and very proffessional. We also dealt with other letting agencies in town, and Stonehouse was, by far, the most most professional one.

I have recently moved into my new rented property with Stonehouse Lettings, and I have found the service to be of very high standard. The staff are very friendly, and polite and Katherine who has been dealing with me has been quick and polite to respond to any emails/ questions that I have had. The process of moving in was very smooth and easy compared to other letting agencies. I would have rated the service to be 5 stars, however, the flat was not arranged to be cleaned when I moved in i.e. there was dog/cat hair everywhere (which I am allergic to). Just one little hiccup, apart from that, it was an efficient/ quick service.

The reviews here made me really concerned about check out but having just finished a 9 month tenancy I can say they aren't fully representative. At times a bit frustrating to contact, and there were a few occasions when I had to call back a number of times for cleaning after repair works to the flat however overall not awful. I cleaned and left the flat in a good condition and didn't have any issues getting my deposit back. Lisa was particularly helpful and when I spoke with her, any issues were quickly resolved.

My sales process with DJ started on a wrong footing. Initially i had Scott who was dealing with me but without any prior notification i found out he has left the firm. I only found since i called for him and was told. Then another person took over who wasn't too helpful and this started to frustrate me since i was the only one bearing financial loss. Finally my case was handed to Keith Wood who was very responsive and pragmatic. He was always forthcoming in giving me updates - good or bad. He always seemed to have a plan. As a matter of fact, i was ready to take my property of the market and put it back on rent and it was his persuasion to try it for another week that has secured this sale. It was a great experience with Keith. Very customer focussed, personable, always willing to go the extra mile for you. One such example is i was coming in to Edinburgh at midnight on a friday, and i needed to collect the keys with DJ Alexander. He ensured the keys were in the accessible safe and gave me his mobile in case i had problems. The next morning he texted me to find out if all was ok. Thrilled to have him as my sales agent and i was very happy with the experience although it started on the wrong foot with other agents.
