GoogleDJ Alexander are the worst at communication. They share nothing between their offices or departments or between landlords and tenants. they forget to update you on even the most serious matters. You will wait months to have anything dealt with and even then it won't be resolved. Please do yourself a favour and take no dealings with this circus.

GoogleThey are lucky I can not give them 0 star. The worst experience in 5 years of letting flats around the UK. The day we moved in, the flat was full of dust and chimney residuals. It took 3 months for them to get someone to clean it. After less than 1 year the roof in the living room caved in and fall on one of the sofa due to a crak well known by the agency and the landlord. We had to leave for weeks in the house while the refurbishment was carried on. We had to re-schedule our life to accomodate the works, but we always had to pay the full rent and we have not been offered any compensation. To get the house sanitised after the refurbishment we had to contact a senior mamager and even then we had to do half of the job. All this at the modest price of 915 pounds pcm. On top of this, when we left they even claimed 1 week of rent more because we advised them 1 week after the monthly rent was due. Moreover, most of the time you have to do half of the job for them because their internal comunication is terrible. Often they send you wrong emails or claim they dont have your number to update you on issues even if you gave it to them few times. One moring someone even came for the annual house inspection without telling us and tried to open the door waking us up. Finally, some of the staff play dumb and lack respect for the client. One time we had a leaking from a window, we go to the agency on a Friday after work and the property manager told us "I will take care of it on Monday". On Monday we call the agency and the guy is on holiday all week. This agency is a disgrace.

GoogleExcellent service! My partner and I are from the Netherlands and were able to get a lovely apartment within a week. Very kind and patient (as we were not used to the UK letting system, we called them with questions quite often I'm afraid) and our referencing procedure was also quickly done. Only small issue is that if you're a foreigner, you have to pay half a year rent at once. This was no issue for us, but I can imagine that it could be. Overall, a very good experience! :-)

Worst letting agent I've ever been with. Ignored and even CLOSED complaints without responding. Left me with no heating. Didn't give a damn about losing a paying tenant. Avoid!!

GoogleGoog landlord that were quick to action issues we had as a tenant. At the end of the tenancy I got my full deposit back within 3 days... having rented many properties over the years let me tell you this is rare!

GoogleThe agency is really bad I can't recommend them. I paid them deposit and the rent I was waiting a month for my flat and after the month they said I can't get the flat . Really disappointed. Now I'm without a place to live and still waiting for my money back....

GoogleThe letting agent didnae arrive with the proper keys when we went frae a viewing and therefore our time frae viewing cut short as we had tae wait..wait..wait. Use a company called Hallmark tae supposedly guide ye over on utility bills as a renter you dinnae want tae use this as it can all be done by yourself an read the small print cause as ye sign over frae it you leave yourself open tae all and sundry tae contact ye and annoy ye. Avoid signing the Hallmark page altogether is my recommendation.

GoogleStonehouse Lettings previously under the name of Simpson and Brebner. Google ratings were even more shocking. Spent two days cleaning the property on exit, it was left in a very clean and tidy condition. Later received a cleaning bill of £278 and a damages bill of £180. These people are nothing but sharks.

GoogleI would honestly recommend you never sign anything this agency offers you! In short if you are putting down a deposit forget about getting it back. Even after doing the inventory you will still be charged for everything wrong with the house/flat before you moved in, no matter how much you clean and scrub up afterwards you would be charged hundreds of pounds for cleaning and let's not forget hundreds of pounds for repainting! It's broad day robbery and fraud. The worst people I have ever dealt with in my life. I ignored these reviewes prior, I would advice you not to make the same mistake. God would punish everyone involved in stealing from us. Karma is a bi*ch is all I can say.

GoogleI don't understand where all these negative reviews are coming from. I found Stonehouse to be very helpful and courteous when viewing property and completing my application, especially Mhairi Middleton and Bianca Sasso. I would have no hesitation in using Storehouse again.

GoogleThis letting agency had such poor communication and took forever to get contractors out for maintenance issues. Shame as our landlords were top notch and so nice but stonehouse let us down so much various times that we moved company and flat.

GoogleI have had a very poor experience, similar to what others have noted on their reviews. Stonehouse Lettings tried to charge a large sum of money for cleaning what was claimed to be a few small marks / dust. This was unnecessary and disproportionate as it had already been subject to a thorough clean prior to move-out. I would not recommend. We have been in contact to discuss the property (AB22 8YY) but Stonehouse Lettings does not wish to resolve sensibly.

GoogleHave been renting with Stonehouse for a year now and have never been so pleased with the service and attitude of a letting agent. They are prompt with there replies if I ever have need to contact them, they are courteous and clean if they ever have need to enter the property. I have been renting for many years but now I will be moving into a place of my own and this is the first agency I can say I will miss. Would recommend to anyone

GoogleI have rented with several other agents and would genuinely say Stonehouse have given the best service. Once we viewed our flat & put in the offer everything went really smoothly. Our inventory was really clear & well done & so far we've only had a couple of repairs needing done but they've been fixed really fast. Everyone so far has been really friendly & it's been a really good experience. Would definitely recommend.

GoogleI'm quite surprised reading all of those negative reviews. Everybody has his own opinion so I will not counter that. I also don't know anything about the company how it has been in the past and when it was certified under a different name. What I do know is that I had the pleasure of meeting the Stonehouse team in person while they were helping me out finding the right apartment and arranging everything for me to move in on the actual day. They were all so kind and helpful! I am really happy with the service they provided me. They will stay in touch with you as well, caring and helping out if you have any inquiries with your apartment/flat. So my experiences were positive all the way, no doubt :) ---Thanks to Susan in particular who has been of great help!
