The long wait from reserving off plan to finally moving into an Aire Loft was worth it.. we love living here in our beautiful Loft. Peaceful and beautiful riverside living (despite building work still in process on the site) and 15 mins walk from all that Leeds city centre has to offer. Thank you to Andy and Danielle for helping us through the process. Any minor snags have been dealt with and Andy and the rest of the Citu team quickly & professionally deal with any minor issues. This is a fantastic place to live, the community is friendly, we have a micro brewery PigLove on our doorstep and fabulous views. 😁

I bought a larger size one bed garden room apartment in the new Kelham Central development, as a BTL investor. I was really impressed with the concept of the build, and the Kelham area is really cool. Build quality is great, and customer service from the sales person (Vanessa) and the onsite person (Megan) has been great. The property attracted a lot of interest when it was marketed to rent, as its such a nice place to live.

Love the place and the houses

Love the place and the houses. I had a couple of issues with poor responses to snags but they were escalated and ultimately fixed. The houses are great, very well insulated (although the electric heating is relatively expensive when you need it on the coldest and darkest winter days), well sound proofed, well designed, and just very nice to live in. Proximity to the city is great, Leeds dock is less than 5 mins away, but equally you can walk the other way get away from the hustle and bustle in no time at all.

Experiencing buying a new build is an experience itself… Anyone who has gone through that process knows the stress. Add Covid, add supply chain issues because of the war in Ukraine and delays with delays will happen. HTB came and went, low rates came and went, mortgage offers came and went, but we got there in the end. I cannot fault the work and care Danielle, Andy and the team put in to keeping us in the loop and looking after us through the prolonged journey of acquiring our beautiful new apartment. They went above and beyond to reassure us and keep us positive through the times which were totally out of their control. This is a new development, and practice makes perfect right? Not much in construction goes smoothly, but these guys care and caring is half the battle. They are even quick on snags post moving in. Our review relates to our purchase of an E-type apartment in Aire Lofts which completed in June 2023. Sales Process Having bought off-plan in 2021, it has been a long journey from first seeing the foundations to finally moving in, but that is to be expected as early adopters in the scheme. We were reassured every step of the way by Danielle who couldn’t be more helpful. The move in was really hassle free and Andy was diligent in communicating all the works that were happening and quick to respond to any queries and snags we had, particularly at the pre-completion inspection. It was clear that the team were doing everything they could to get the place ready for us. The welcome package was a great touch and included all the essentials for that post-unpacking slump on the sofa. Unfortunately the first few delays to the project set us back a bit in terms of mortgage offers and some of these were communicated quite late, but after this there was a regular fortnightly update on the build process to keep us updated. Climate Innovation District and Community One of the biggest draws to the CID for us was the community that has built up around the development. From day 1 we felt welcomed by all the residents already settled in, with people stopping by to say hello and give recommendations and helpful suggestions about the local amenities (Sunny evenings at Piglove have become a firm favourite). There are some issues to be resolved such as the car park (some standing water, dust from the continuing construction activities) but this is to be expected while the final phase of works take place on this side of the river. Aire Lofts (Type E) We were always drawn to the modern industrial design aesthetic, which was so different from other new builds on the market. Appreciate that some aspects such as the open metal ceiling and services on show might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but we’ve found it to be really positive - the ceiling in the living/dining room is almost a foot higher than a typical apartment, making it feel really light and airy. The electrical routing and use of exposed conduits also makes it easy to hide all our cables without burying them in the wall cavities. There were a few finishing issues when we first moved in, but Citu have been great at responding quickly and efficiently to these. We really like the use of natural wood throughout and the space saving sliding doors, and all of the fixtures/appliances are high quality. The sustainability measures, including triple glazed windows and MVHR are amazing - when the windows are closed the apartment is almost silent, with the fans barely audible except when they are on boost for cooking and hot showers. The apartment has maintained a pleasant temperature even in the hot, dry end of June and cold, wet July weather we’ve had! When it has been warmer, opening the dual aspect windows quickly vented the heat outside. The building isn’t fully complete so the shared spaces need some finishing off, but we’re excited to see this take place in the next few months and the landscaping be completed. The existing gardens and landscaping are outstanding when compared to any of the other new apartment schemes we looked at in Leeds, with lots of natural materials, almost no concrete/unsustainable paving, and plenty of biodiversity everywhere which makes it a wonderful neighbourhood. Conclusion Our review takes into account all of the above points, and overall we’d give a 4/5 rating. The attention paid to sustainability, customer service and delivering a fantastic, holistically designed neighbourhood instead of another bland city centre development are real positives, although there is still some work to do on a couple of points. We will update our review as and when these are all resolved, and to give an update on life at Aire Lofts a few months in (and once all our decorating is done!

We’ve recently moved in to a new Citu home in the Climate Innovation District and absolutely love it. The contemporary finish is beautiful and the location is perfect - peaceful but with easy access to the city centre. During the buying process we found the Citu team really friendly and we were able to call regularly with questions about the building progress. As with many new builds, we did experience some delays. So, if you’re considering buying something here, just be prepared and know that in the end it’s well worth the wait! So happy. Big thank you to the team.

I love my home in Little Kelham! I moved from a very old terrace in Hillsborough as I wanted a low maintenance home. My daughter was 1.5 years old and I was 35 weeks pregnant when we moved and it's been such an easy house to live in! Kelham island has a lovely community feel and our neighbours are all so friendly. We are also so close to the city centre, the trams and the ring road so it's easy to get about too. The house is light and airy and the dimensions are great. I'm especially glad we moved when we did in early 2022 as the triple glazing really helped us keep warm in the winter with a baby and toddler. I've fit more furniture in than I thought when I first viewed it. Having access to a shared garden is great with kids as they play with other kids on the block. I've now got a part time job with Citu, everyone has been lovely and friendly and the commute is very convenient!

I moved to citu Landing Place nearly a year ago, leaving a beautiful 5 bed Victorian semi with a big garden, near Kirkstall Abbey , to this 2 bed terrace - so it was a big change. But I felt settled straightaway, and I love living here. All citu staff have been unfailingly courteous, responsive, helpful. And I’m glad to say the house is excellent, only usual minor settling problems, all attended to. The fittings are high quality; triple glazed windows and balcony and Juliet balcony doors; hugely effective insulation; high ceilings; real scandi modern feel. So if you have the chance, do come and join us! I could write lots more but now, I’ll just say that I agree with every word of Katya’s review too.
