I would give no stars if I could. Our experience with Chase Buchanan has been overall very poor and have advised against any friends to rent through them.Communication was poor throughout, we have spent countless hours on hold to Chase Buchanan, not just hold that eventually gets answered, hold where it hangs up as it has been so long.The agency couldn't find anyone to fix the heating/hot water, because it was too old (cca 40 years), so we had to have the heating on when we wanted hot water.After moving out of this property it took two months to get back the deposit (they deducted more than £100 because the grass was overgrown, however the initial inventory stated the same when we moved in) and we are still waiting to get back the overpaid rent.This letting agency is extremely unprofessional, and I would recommend people to avoid it at any cost.

With regards to the deposit, we know that you were in negotiation with the landlord on deductions and this was resolved on the 4th September. The remainder of the payment has now been sent to you, so we’re happy that this is now resolved. My house was a bit quirky (3 floors, no garden, leasehold, within a private estate). Adele took the time to understand the house and it’s strengths, and knew the estate and surrounding area so was able to put a strong set of messaging together and brought this, together with a really positive approach to showing the house. Whilst it took a couple f months to sell, I suspect that with a less prepared and positive agent, it would have taken a lot longer. She followed through on the sales progression, which has been almost painless across a chain of 4, with completion date now agreed.

Disrespectful place. I emailed and submitted a message on their website and got no response. I then called their Plymouth branch today. I asked to rent a three bedroom property. I tell them that I am the only one that will be living at the property on a permanent basis and that my parents will visit. Then they continue to ask "It's a three bedroom property so who else will be living at the property?". Totally disrespectful that they were not willing to take my word for it (and, of course, I understand that referencing and such will take place afterwards). My salary can cover the rent so it is not their issue. I suspect that the reason they did not believe me is because I am not white and have an accent.

We chose CB over several well-known competitors and are happy we made the right choice. I found dealing them to be relaxed and far less pushy than some competitors (and a more reasonable commission to boot).Alessandro took over our listing in late April and worked hard and ultimately found some committed buyers who were great to deal with, leading to a smooth sale.
