GoogleRecently rented a property through Brian Holt. They have been amazing throughout the whole experience. All members of the team were polite and professional. Rishi always answered calls promptly and got other members to do call backs within a excellent time frame. Initially Emma showed us around the property and assisted with the collection of keys, she was really nice. Social distancing and face masks worn and Covid 19 procedures were conducted at a high standard which was nice to see as a NHS worker. Lastly, Aimee assisted with the paperwork, really polite and helpful, always got back to us so quickly and nothing was ever too much for her, we really appreciated her help. Managed to get the property earlier than asked for, highly recommended Brian Holt and the team.

GoogleI would definately recommend NOT using Brian Holt's network of conveyancers. If you are using Brian Holt to sell your home, it is really worth having your own solicitor or conveyancer to represent you. The referral system they are using is a shambles sending referrals to two diffrent solicitors for linked sale and purchase transactions and details of the incorrect solicitor acting for the purchaser. The errors led to months of chasing around with Brian Holt trying to get the right parties involved. I would have expected a much better level of aftercare considering they receive a £574 referral fee for each transaction.

GoogleWe had our house rented with Holts In Kenilworth for a few years and every time we seemed to be chasing for updates, invoices to be sent to us, lack of communication and personal service. The property was not managed on a professional capacity and they promised that they would deliver but sadly not! They then approached us to putting the house up for sale as we do not live in UK. We agreed from beginning NO ADVERTISING. Buyer met our asking price and then our neighbours sent us a picture of the flyer they got through their door with the full address of our property and also touting for business of selling their property if they wish to sell! We sent an email to the agent, saying we are disgusted with this, a pathetic sorry was all we got. We demanded her managers name to which we forwarded her the email and not even an acknowledgement from the manager. Poor business etiquette. We cancelled the sale due to their bad business and lack of consideration for us as customers after all the years they had our house on their books. Our advice is to shop around before letting them be your agents!
Thank you for your review Tara. We are of course very disappointed to hear your views especially since the sale was agreed considerably over the original suggested marketing price. We agreed to market your Mother's house without going on line with a one off viewing contract which did result in a successful offer from a chain free buyer. It is unfortunate that there was a misunderstanding in relation to the NO ADVERTISING as the Agency Agreement that formed our partnership does clearly state that we are able to use properties in post marketing literature. The box referring to this on the agreement was ticked by your Mother. This is why the letter was sent and when we were made aware that you were not happy with that we did offer our sincerest apologies. We also cancelled all further marketing and provided you with a Directors' email address to express your dissatisfaction. Unfortunately this person was unexpectedly off work due to a sudden bereavement but if you had let us know that you were waiting for a response we could of course have dealt with this for you. As the sales team we were certainly not aware that you had been unhappy with our Lettings team. If you would like a copy of our Complaints Procedure then please do let us know.

View AgentsNo Comms, errors in booking appointment, couldn't even get my house valued
I was due to have a Valuation appointment on Saturday 17th October 2020 - this never transpired and I recieved little to no communication or customer service from the Branch in question. I contacted the office on September 17th and spoke to a member of staff who took the details regarding my property and booked me in with an appointment at 10:00, which I put in my phone's calendar. As I can only visit my property at the weekends due to my job elsewhere in the country I ensured I phoned well in advance to secure a valuation booking with them. As the time ticked on past 10:00 this Saturday I called the Coventry office again, to my dismay the member of staff I spoke to confirmed that my appointment did not appear to be there. They noted that they would contact the Valuer to let them know the situation and that they would call me back to discuss. Come 10:35 I had heard nothing, I assumed the Valuer was with a client, so I called back to discuss the possibility of another appointment the next weekend. I explained the situation to other member of staff and they informed me that there were no appointments available next weekend either but they would contact the Valuer to ask them to speak with me about potentially making time to see me considering the situation. I heard nothing then for the rest of the day nor through til Friday 23rd October 2020 (when I sent my formal complaint) this would have given the valuer plenty of time to contact me, apologise and see if there were any possibilities open to complete a valuation. I was incredibly disappointed by this and of course will not (and could not) go forward with a valuation or sale with them. The staff I spoke with were lovely and had excellent Customer Service, however the lack of communication from the Valuer, for me, is incredibly frustrating and an indication of their service.

For any that he didn't know, he chased the seller to get the right answers. Darren was also very punctual and is an experienced sales person who knows whats important for a client. Somehow one of the advisers, Darren Kendall, managed to find properties matching our exact requirements again and again no matter how fuzzy we became, he's always prepared to go the extra mile and delivered with that human touch that is so difficult to get these days, and believe me, I've seen lots of Estate Agents. Darren is one of those persons you'd like to keep in touch after business.

Brian Holt, specifically Joel and Darren, were the only ones out of all the estate agents to follow up and advise me properly as a first time buyer. Never felt pushy or like it was just their job. Built up a really good raport with them and felt like my best interests were being looked after. Really helpful overall and I'm really pleased to be working with them.

GoogleIf there was a way to give 0 stars I'd do that. Such a let down. Agents have no communication skills and will make you wait 12 days before responding to an email, after you chase it up of course. Excuses after excuses and none of the issues with the property actually get addressed. Beyond disappointed, you should be ashamed of yourselves!!

GoogleA while ago I came looking to buy a property in Coventry, and the staff in this office were very helpful and wanting to help, took all the details and actively tried to find a suitable property. What a contrast to the other agents in Coventry. Afterwards I went along nearly every estate agent on New Union St and not a single one was interested in giving any help, taking details or looking to see what suitable properties were available. So I definitely recommend these guys.
