The team here at Guildford borne were great. Gave us professional advice and guidance even before the valuation. Steve, Harry and everyone else we spoke to were fantastic. What I really appreciated was the straightforward tell it how it is advice and feedback. No fluff, no blowing smoke up our ass. Just straight to the point facts and answers. Sold our house quickly and the sales process was smooth, can't ask for anything more. Communication was easy, we had a group chat that kept us up to date every step of the way. Very disappointing handling of deposit return I vacated my property on 4 April and, following discussions regarding the proposed deductions, an agreement was reached for £1,168.50 of my £1,788 deposit to be returned. Despite the matter being agreed, I am still waiting for the refund almost five months later. I have had to repeatedly chase for updates, and I was recently told that the landlord has not responded and therefore no timeframe can be given for when my money will be released. I appreciate that there may be communication required between the agent and landlord, but from a tenant’s perspective, waiting this long for an agreed deposit refund, with no clear timeframe for payment, is extremely frustrating. I hope this can finally be resolved and the £1,168.50 returned promptly. Vacated the property 6 months ago and have still not received my deposit back even though I have agreed to the landlords deduction for the sake of speeding things up. All I am being told is they now have to wait for the landlord to confirm he’s happy with his own proposed deductions and apparently he is not replying. Seems like this is a reoccurring theme with Bourne regarding them holding onto deposits for extended periods of time as stated in previous reviews from others. I personally would not recommend them at this point.
