Poor build and lack of quality control procedures at Wimborne Chase. Bloor are quick to try to pass the blame onto contractors and yet they’re supposed to check and sign off on all work carried out - they don’t check the work shall we say. At the customer walkthrough 7 days prior to completion, a number of issues were identified including low pressure with the boiler. I was promised by the site manager that these would all be fixed ready for completion - no such luck! Heating broke down within days, dishwasher flooded the kitchen on first use (not plumbed in!!) despite being signed off by the incompetent site manger. French windows leaked and took 3 attempts to fix, damp and porous garage with mold growing on the ceiling. Quite a number of garages had the same problem which Bloor initially dismissed and refused to fix, but after complaining and bringing in the NHBC, they finally agreed to fix. One extractor fan replaced after less than 6 months and it was hardly used that much. 70% of the window handles had to be replaced with 6 months, gaps in the brickwork in the garden walls and kerb stones. The list goes on and on and it frustrates and grinds you down Poor build quality and materials used , no quality control procedures in place, lack of care and whenever possible Bloor will try to wriggle out of having to make any repairs, so you constantly have to fight battles with the ‘Customer (don’t) Care department’. Their marketing hype talks about "quality as standard", "attention to detail" etc. etc. It's just nonsense and unfortunately I fell for the bull along with others who have experienced other horror stories. Disgraceful company, poor attitude and sadly Bloor Homes just don’t care once they have your money. Stay clear of these cowboys If I could give them zero stars I would.

Recently completed on a house with Bloor and they were excellent through-out the process. Friendly and helpful sales team and site manager. And our new house is amazing! :D

Visited the development on Friday. It has two building contractors on site. Personally bloor homes were better than Bovis homes. The new builds that are being built atm look good up near the rugby pitch. Friendly builders. Some parts of the development that have been built for a year or so I wasn't impressed with. Lots of yob type teenagers riding around on bikes showing off doing wheelies causing havoc for people in cars. Lots of police sitting around looking bored on the cornered off roads due to the poisoning senario in Amesbury. Don't be put off by this though. All in all the development is so much better than Riverbourne Tidworth and Longhedge Salisbury.
