GoogleWe viewed a property on Vassal Road SW9 with Alex Neil estate agents. I wouldn't usually leave a review of an agent based on one viewing but it was so bad I felt I had to. The telephone manner of the agent was unprofessional; shouting down the phone to be heard over the loud house music playing in the office. The property itself was a joke and nothing like the photos. This would have been understandable if priced accordingly. The agent clearly had no idea about the construction of a building. A general understanding of buildings, their construction and maintenance should be a prerequisite for a professional selling a property considered by them to be worth £525k. Instead he just lied and made up facts. He told us, completely inaccurately, that the massive crack in the plaster on the stairs was there because it was irreparable; that the reason why the floor was uneven was because the builders ran out of concrete (even though it was obviously a suspended timber floor); and then said the bucket catching water dripping from the ceiling of the bedroom was due to condensation! I'm giving two stars on the basis that it was the sellers that insisted the property be marketed at £525k.

GoogleCould not check how good are these guys at their job - they tend to keep an outdated properties adverts on zoopla and when I've called them, they say that these properties are not available anymore and then they try to convince to you to have a look at the other property, which is quite annoying. This happened more than once to me, so will not call them anymore. They are also quite expensive.

Zoopla is a third party portal and our most up to date listings will be found on our own website alexneil.com so we recommend checking there first. Also, any property advertised can have active negotiations from interested parties, only when the status changes to Sale or Let Agreed would that become visible to website and portal visitors. We understand your disappointment about missing a property of interest and we always offer alternatives as we often have similar on our books, sometimes of the same style, in the same or similar areas. GoogleThey did not return keys when contract with the landlord terminated. They then used these keys to trespass and harrass current residents. Are you sure you want to deal with them in any capacity?

GoogleWe have used this estate agent numerous times and have always found them to be extremely unorganised. My most recent experience being, they forgot to let me know that my Viewing had been cancelled and I turned up with a baby and toddler in tow, having put other plans on hold during the day to attend the viewing, then waited and waited in the cold. Finally I called Alex Neil Estate Agent and was told they forgot to inform me that the landlord had cancelled previously. I didn’t even get an apology. Rude and unprofessional are the only words I can use!
