GoogleFrom the beginning to the very end of the sale process we received an excellent service from Alex Neil in South London branch. We were immediately impressed by Sara’s knowledge and experience and particularly by her familiarity with the area. We were kept informed throughout with feedback from all viewings by her and Tommaso. The sale was ongoing during the start of the pandemic, but despite this Alex Neil immediately hit the ground running as soon as the lockdown was eased and were able to close the sale under difficult conditions. The fees are very reasonable for such a high quality and professional service, I would highly recommend them.

Shockingly bad records. I was a tenant though Alex Neil 2018-2019. My new agent today asked them for a reference. First they said the property wasn’t managed by them (it was) then that I never was a tenant (I was) then all payments I made were made directly to the landlord (the weren’t and I provided them with email payment confirmations from Alex Neil’s own systems to me) then that they never inspected the property (I then provided them with their own emails to me confirming inspection dates and their own “good” assessment results.) then after all then they said they would only be able to provide a payment reference as their systems didn’t talk to each other properly.I mean, I only paid them over £20,000 in rental payments over a 12 month period, so why on earth *should* I expect them to be remotely competent?

Re: Alex Neil Property AgentsIf I could I would place No stars!!!I booked a appointment to view my property For Thursday 3/9/20 @ 2:30pm ( this was booked 1/9/20 @ 9:30am ) I should of realised the Reception staff wasn’t really too professional continuously going over the address and having to repeat several times then I also gave email, nothing sent to confirm just over telephone his colleague will attend 3/9/20 @ 2:30pm!!!I called this morning due to emergency work as I am key worker I the NHS, I wanted to rearrange my appointment from 3/9/20 to either earlier in the morning tomorrow or another day!! The staff on the end of Alex Neil, didn’t understand any English having to repeat address the query - 7-times!!!Then I asked for someone who spoke English was on hold? Then another so called staffSimon etc... not interested what so ever, hence I am writing this review so the company can stop sending flyers through the letter box, this is a rubbish customer services company.. which Now I understand, no sales extra, so they’re having to advertise Once again maybe it’s not the company? ?Uninterested and shoddy, unenthusiastic staff who requires training in customer services.

Alex Neil never stops to disappoint me.I move into a flat manged from Alex Neil two years ago and since day one they didn't get a single thing right.They let the house in a terrible condition and I was unable to move in at the agreed date because of lack of cleanliness and many other issues. The biggest problem is that they've refused to resolve the issues and have been consistently unresponsive and extremely rude. Now, after two years, I'm finally moving out of the property and of course, one last thing happened. They are trying to charge me with a 60£ fee for a Landlord reference although it is illegal since June 1, 2020, to charge tenants with references fee accordingly with the Government Tenant guidance. This applies regardless of when your tenancy started. Of course, they are trying to get money from people who don't know this information or they need to get references quickly. Luckily enough I'm finally moving out of this property and I will never have to deal with these people again.

GoogleReceived a request card from royal mail through my post box asking for £2 due to "no postage paid", sender unknown. Paid the money. Was thrilled to receive an unsolicited advert from Alex Neil estate agents. I'm concerned they're struggling financially if they can't afford to pay their royal mail bill. Their flyers are annoying enough as it is and constantly spill out the bin in our foyer without having to pay for the privilege of being spammed. Maybe find a more eco friendly and less annoying form of advertising Alex Neil?

Like every other estate agency in London, this one is no exception. My partner and I have lived in the city for over 5 years as professionals and were renting a lovely, clean, new-ish, 1 bed flat.As soon as they had our money and names on the contract, they went from "friendly and helpful" to "unresponsive, unhelpful and under qualified". From not issuing 2 sets of keys (accusing us that we lost them and said we had to pay for a new set, but then they mysteriously found the keys a week later in their office and with no apology asked us to come and collect), to neglecting emails (majority of the emails weren't answered, even after 2-3 follow-up emails were sent), all the way through to trying to charge us a £70 reference fee (which is now very illegal, but they are still trying to sneakily slide it on the contract). It has been over 2 weeks since we have moved out and no one from the accounts team or deposit team has been in contact with us, even after I have emailed them continuously. I have been a professional cleaner in the past and left the place in better state than it was handed to us, so I have no doubt we are entitled to our full deposit however the lack of communication and urgency is appalling (especially during COVID-19).I would be giving zero stars if it wasn't for Rabeya (she deserves 6 stars and a cookie). Rabeya is the only person working at Alex Neil in Bethnal Green that is organised, caring, and is more than qualified in customer experience and management as a property co-ordinator. If you are stuck corresponding with Eva or Bora, then I suggest you purchase a punching bag or stress ball to release your frustration. Don't be fooled by their recently updated logo. Just because they recently changed the colours from the standard red and blue to a classy grey and rose gold with some edgy font, doesn't automatically make you a luxury company, it makes you look like a poser.

Several of the agents are contacting me on a a daily basis for weeks in spite of being told at least 5 times that I have concluded my search and do not want any further contact with them. I am annoyed that I even sent out a simple question regarding one of their flats on zoopla as this is how they got the details in the first place. Only way of stopping them is blocking numbers/emails as they do not listen. Unfortunately, this is not a fail-safe approach as they will use other emails and numbers to contact you. Should this continue I will book out appointments under various names and numbers to arrange for viewings and never show. I will also bombard them with countless emails and enquiries to send them on a futile run for their commissions which they no doubt want considering how keen they are on chasing you down...

GoogleSuddenly stuck a board sign saying 'let by' in front of our building of 6 flats. Put a fake listing online, with only a photo of the outside accompanied by imaginary generic info about the inside. I called the office to check and the lady falsely claimed that the flat had been let out. All 6 of us confused tenants checked with each other and none of us were moving out, nor had any contact with that agent, meaning this estate agent just put that sign there without any consent. Just free and false advertising for them. Unethical & misleading. Avoid.

GoogleWe viewed a property on Vassal Road SW9 with Alex Neil estate agents. I wouldn't usually leave a review of an agent based on one viewing but it was so bad I felt I had to. The telephone manner of the agent was unprofessional; shouting down the phone to be heard over the loud house music playing in the office. The property itself was a joke and nothing like the photos. This would have been understandable if priced accordingly. The agent clearly had no idea about the construction of a building. A general understanding of buildings, their construction and maintenance should be a prerequisite for a professional selling a property considered by them to be worth £525k. Instead he just lied and made up facts. He told us, completely inaccurately, that the massive crack in the plaster on the stairs was there because it was irreparable; that the reason why the floor was uneven was because the builders ran out of concrete (even though it was obviously a suspended timber floor); and then said the bucket catching water dripping from the ceiling of the bedroom was due to condensation! I'm giving two stars on the basis that it was the sellers that insisted the property be marketed at £525k.

GoogleWarning to fellow landlords, Beware of this very greedy estate agents. I instructed them to find tenants for my property. They send you pages and pages of small print terms and conditions which you have to agree to to complete the paperwork. What you are agreeing to is that if your tenants decide to stay on, then AlexNeil will ask you for their commission for the new period otherwise they will descend on you like a ton of bricks and threaten you with legal action if you do not pay. Other decent estate agents in the area will charge you commission for tenant finding for the initial contract period and that’s it. I would never use them again. You have been warned

I Have always been wary of prospect of dealing with estate agents due to some of the negative stigma that surrounds them but it was a complete pleasure dealing with Daniel in the Roman road office. As a first time buyer it was daunting, but Daniel helped us navigate the property market and helped us to find our new home. He kept in regular contact with me, sending over new property’s and arranging quick viewings until I found the one! He then continued to give me great advice, ‘even telling me to search around to get multiple quotes from solicitors’ but ended up using the one he recommended as there quote was the best.
