GoogleVery quick and efficient to move me in, but failed to mention the property was unsecured, had no gas supply (which once turned on after a week had a £505 debt on it), a useless landlord that doesn't reply to you even in emergencies, and is infested with rats! My advice do not rent with Alan de Maid and stay away from any properties on Homesdale road.

GoogleWe had been looking for our new place for several months when we contacted Alan de Maid for a visit. From there Harry Burge was on a mission! Finding us our place. He did not spare any effort, worked way outside his working hours to get us moved in less than 10 days. It went absolutely smoothly. We are very grateful to Harry who did more than his duty and Alan de Maid who have been very reactive.

GoogleOur experience with Alan de Maid Lettings: Estate Agent Harry Burge showed us the property we were interest in. He was on time for the viewing and very polite. Bee Cemal was our contact point after we decided to take the Flat and she handled everything in a professional and helpful manner, including establishing contact between us and the Property Management Company “Complete RPI”. She stayed on top of everything until the lease was signed. Of course, reviews are not just based on the personal experiences with a Company or Service Provider, but also on our expectations and how well they are met. Our expectations were fully met and our experience with Alan de Maid Lettings was 100% positive.

GoogleRubbish. Promised lots and didn't deliver. Had no contact for a month and no call backs when I tried to get in touch. For sale board is still stuck outside house 2 weeks after taking our property off the market. Avoid and go with one of the bigger and more professional agents.

She was always on hand and gave me regular updates throughout, and I truly felt she had the best interests of both me (a seller) and the buyer in mind. She kept things moving with all parties concerned and that proved to be quite challenging at times. If I was selling again I wouldn’t hesitate to use Lisa again. Highly recommended.

GoogleInitially very professional, and pleasant and they say all the right things to you when turning up to value your house...not so good when you thank them but reluctantly and politely decline to sign with them and choose another estate agent instead. As we had no reply to that we thought that was that. However, a couple of months later one of their agents (who had met us to value our house) rang my partner, asking how the sale of our house was going. They knew that it was still on the market and proceeded to criticize the estate agent that we were using, saying that they had a very bad reputation, criticized the manager of the branch and smugly talked about how many properties that they had sold recently etc. in a very gloating, unpleasant manner. We have since sold our house through the agents that they were so critical of and we're very glad that we did not sign up with Alan de Maid after their rude, unprofessional behaviour.

GoogleThis sale was not straightforward because there were several parties involved and none were local to the property. Ralph, at Alan de Maid, helped to move the sale forward many times. He helped to push the solicitors along with the conveyancing, visited the property several times on our behalf to check information, and showed people around the property when necessary for clearance etc. Ralph and all the staff were very pro-active and always seemed very pleased to help no matter what challenges we came up against.
