GoogleHorrible experience buying through this agency. Felt stalked with constant calls at the workplace and unbelievable pressure (especially when we were not the ones with the onward chain slowing the process down). I will never us this agency to handle selling or buying property ever again.

GoogleDear Paul (and also Peter and Deana), Thank you very much for helping us getting over the final hurdle to exchange contracts. When we had to appoint agents, we received a number of valuations and quotes, but Peter stood out to us at the time - he just came across so much more professional and knowledgeable than some of the other agents. We decided to go with Alan de Maid despite the fact that your fees were slightly higher than some of your competitors. We have not regretted that decision for one second. As a team you have been incredibly helpful and supportive from the very first day. You were flexible when we were unsure whether to put our house on the market at first and even though you were proved right you never said "I told you so"! You managed to book 5 viewings for our house within 24 hours of us confirming that we are happy to go on the market and managed to secure 3 offers within 2 weeks! That was incredible! And might I add, all 3 of those offers were higher than the other valuations we received for our house at the time. All of that was brilliant, but Paul's support during the process of negotiating with our buyers and helping us to get to the point of exchange was even more incredible. Although I've never met Paul in person, it feels like I've known him for ages. He always made time to talk to me, returned phone calls promptly, and most of all, I could tell he was always up to speed with the latest news regarding the sale. We did not have the easiest of buyers, but Paul dealt with all of that and managed to get us over the line. If it wasn't for him, I'm sure we would have still been a long way off exchange today. Whilst I realise you must have many clients, I never felt like one of many, I always felt important and valued. I'm hoping that we will live in our new home for many years to come and as such won't need estate agents again in the near future. However should we ever decide to buy / sell again you will be our first port of call. And of course we will recommend your services to all of our friends.

GoogleI think letting a property with bathrooms that don't work and with windows that do not close or lock is discusting. Then to be told by Oliver that properties do not need to be secure, I would strongly advise to use a different letting agent.

Nothing was too much trouble for Katie, she sent me regular emails and had lengthy phone calls with me to make sure I knew what was happening when I rented through Alan de Maid. GoogleHave raised the bar on what to expect as a landlord. Focus on filtering candidates to avoid (as much as possible) future problems was both refreshing and, in my experience, highly effective. In addition, the rent that I achieved was higher than that proposed by other estate agents in Bromley. Can't praise Oliver and team enough.

He is very helpful and he can really understand what you looking for. He was also very efficient with and paperwork and communicating with all parties involved up the chain. GoogleFrom when we first met the Alan de Maid representative, we had no doubt that he was the agent for us. David Alexander is a true asset to your company. He is extremely knowledgeable and understood our needs and expectations immediately. David has a very positive outlook and was a natural when it came to looking for a property. My partner and I were able to build a fantastic rapport with David, something in which we've never had with any other estate agent.
