Our experience with Alan De Maid Beckenham was nothing short of disastrous. The sale dragged on for 6 months purely due to their incompetence and failure to do the basics of their job. The allocated agent consistently failed to chase relevant parties, didn’t follow up on the management pack, and directly caused a one-month delay to completion. Communication was appalling. Shockingly, they even lied to us, our solicitor confirmed they never sent an updated memorandum of sale despite insisting they had. No apology has ever been offered for this dishonesty or the repeated mishandling of our sale. There was zero accountability when we raised a complaint. Handover processes were nonexistent, our agent went on leave at a critical stage without telling us. Multiple professionals in the chain echoed the same frustrations, confirming that Alan De Maid were failing to do their job properly.

Communication was punctual, Ross has gone the extra mile to meet all our requests. A friendly and helpful team, Lisa has been exceptional in making things moving quickly and avoid the purchase to fall through. Selling a property is never easy but selling one when you live in a different part of the country makes it an even greater challenge. Working with Lisa Knight and the team at the Beckenham branch of ADM made the whole process so much easier. We consulted with a couple of different agencies before signing up with ADM. Lisa's professionalism, knowledge of the local area and outstanding knowledge of the market made our choice very easy. Nothing was too much trouble, they provided information on local contractors to help with disposing of unwanted effects, they supported with "chasing" (in an appropriate manner!) the various parties involved in the sale - I could go on. A huge thank you to the whole team at Alan de Maid Beckenham for their unwavering help and support throughout the very stressful & painful five month period it took to complete the process of selling my property and purchasing a new one. What struck us about AdM, and in particular Lisa Knight at the Beckenham branch, was just how passionate and excited they were at the prospect of being able to sell our house. It was an enthusiasm you simply don't experience with other estate agents and when your estate agent demonstrates those qualities in front of prospective buyers, needless to say it makes the selling process that much quicker and easier. Lisa did her homework lining up as many suitable prospective buyers as possible far in advance of putting the house on the market. We all did our due diligence on the property value and we agreed to set an ambitious asking price managing to get 2 offers above asking price on the first day of viewings! We had a number of challenges throughout the process outside of AdM's control but Lisa and the team went way beyond the call of duty to help us get through them. Thanks to AdM we are now living in our dream home!
