The professionalism of the service was second to none and the manner in which all aspects of the sale were handled could not be faulted. Then around 20 years ago I became a landlord buying, selling and renting my properties through R Whitley. Still to this day they help me day in day out, month in month out. I first rented a property off them a few years back and then coincidently bought and sold my first property through them also; I cannot praise all the staff members at R Whitley enough, they have been a ray of sunshine in such a stressful period of selling my house. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and can honestly confidently say they will get the job done. Their communication skills and attention to detail is spot on, and also one of the most reassuring measures they go to is that they are always more than happy to answer your queries or troubles. GoogleTerrible service, taken a year to fix a leaking shower which has caused much more damage to the property and still nothing has been done. Have offered to fix the problem myself as I'm fully qualified and insured to do so but still nothing. My children are in danger of the kitchen ceiling falling on them and yet nobody seems to care! Have emailed phoned and even visited them in person and still nothing. I bet if I was a day late on the rent they'd be phoning me repeatedly. Maybe they'll take notice of this as they won't be getting a penny more till it's sorted!
Dear Mr Dawson, We are very disappointed to have received a review of this nature and are sorry that you feel matters have not been dealt with to your satisfaction. The Property Management Department have been in communication with you since June 2015 in relation to the subject shower which has been leaking. We have arranged numerous visits from contractors who have conducted various works (including re-sealing the cubicle and double tiling) in an effort to resolve the leak. To the best of our knowledge the situation was resolved in October 2015 and as a matter of precaution water stains to the ceiling were ‘ outlined’ in order for you to observe any further signs of a leak. We received further communication from you in November 2016 when you reported a further leak. A contractor attended site and identified that the magnetic shower strips were not sealing the cubicle properly during use. The contractor was attempting to source replacements but unfortunately struggled to find any suitable. We contacted your partner in early December requesting your assistance (in light of you being a builder) to source the appropriate strips. We later forwarded a link to a suppliers website. Your partner agreed to speak with you and revert back to us. Unfortunately we did not hear anything further from you. In January 2017 you visited our offices requesting an update. We informed you that we were waiting to hear from you in respect of the above and you kindly advised that the seals have now been replaced but that there was still a damp patch to the ceiling. A contractor then attended site to investigate. We have been in contact with you over the course of the last 48 hours and understand that our contractor attended site on Thursday 12th January to carry out further investigation to include an access hatch to be cut to the kitchen ceiling and bedroom wall. They have established that there is no leaking pipework and have now re-sealed the shower tray and made good. They will return to the property on Friday 13th January to decorate the affected areas. Whilst we appreciate that the situation has been ongoing and inconvenient, R Whitley & Co have, to the best of our ability, made every effort to assist in resolving the situation for you.

In 20 years of buying and selling properties, this was the first time I had truly experienced an estate agent acting in an exemplorary manner that puts other industries to shame. I would have no hesitation in asking them to sell my home, or in approaching them to see if they could source a property that I wanted to purchase. I have no doubt that anyone using R Whitley and co will be impressed. They are the only agent I would consider using in the future, the question would be, would they represent me? We had a very complex sale which was completed due to Rich's understanding of structural surveys and the land registry. GoogleEXTREMELY POOR SERVICE - STAY AWAY !!! I would like to highlight this company is a complete and utter waste of time, i have been trying to deal with Stephen L Whitley who is a senior partner in this company (commercial dept) and all he has done is waste my time, come and viewed my property back in November 2015 which I wanted to market to Let and i have been chasing him ever since with no real response only time delaying emails, considering they are the main commercial agents in the area i waited patiently for them, in the mean time with a simple advert in GUMTREE i temporarily let the property my self free of charge. I would highly advice you stay aware from these time wasters, there are much better companies out there who are more helpful and pro active, i am extremely shocked and disappointed in such a poor level of service from a senior partner and especially a long established company - looks like they will be going down like Woolworths if they don't improve their service. It makes you wonder how such companies can survive with such poor level of service as they are not interested and just mess people around. I am going to investigate them further and expose them. what is there to say they do the same with any offers on already marketed properties ? How can you trust what they say ? seriously do not bother wasting your time with them. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU AVOID THIS COMPANY !!!

We were very fortunate the house we wanted most came on through Whitley. Over the last 18 months we have dealt with all estate agents in and around West Drayton and Whitley really stood out from the crowd. They showed us every house and flat we wanted to see in that period - that is of course their job, but not all agents are so obliging. Once our offer had been accepted, Whitley progressed the sale efficiently, kept us updated with progress and did not put us under pressure to agree to unrealistic deadlines. What could have been a complicated purchase took a little over three months to complete. If you’re thinking of instructing an estate agent in the area, there’s a reason Whitley encourage feedback from buyers and sellers through Rateragent. If other agents don’t encourage feedback, there’s probably a reason for that too! Whitley finally found us our dream home, and we will use Whitley when it’s time to sell many years down the line..

As first time buyers we were very nervous about the purchase and had received little support from our solicitors who were less interested in completing and more interested in making a quick buck for every extra bank statement they had to peruse!
