GoogleVery professional all round service. Estate Agent was smart, professional and friendly. The literature produced was very professional looking and thorough. Although initially we felt that the selling price offered was on the low side, other local estate agents who quoted higher either did not return our calls, or were unprofessional when they viewed the property and then never followed through with information.
Enfields always answered the phone politely (unlike some!) kept us informed at each stage either by phone or in writing, and were always understanding of our needs and expectations. They also sold the house quickly allowing us to offer on a flat we had viewed.

GoogleWhat a truly horrendous experience with the Shirley branch of Enfields. They failed to sell our property, lied about buyers and chains, misled us, gave us totally inaccurate information or no information at all and communicated very poorly. We never knew who we were dealing with or who our contact was or what was going on. When the second sale fell through we weren’t even told that the property had been taken off the market! Would not recommend at all.

We would like to address some points raised in your review. We did inform Martin, the property owner, about the sale falling through and offered several solutions to help sell the property. Unfortunately, due to the issues with the property's condition and adverse survey results, the potential buyer found the problems too significant to proceed without resolutions from your side, which ultimately led to the sale falling through. Martin was fully aware of this situation and we advised him at the time we would hold the marketing offline to give a better chance of success when releasing back for sale. Perhaps this message did not reach you as we weren’t speaking directly.
We understand that this experience has been frustrating, and we apologise if our communication did not meet your expectations. We believe the property might be more suitable for auction, given the circumstances, and it would be challenging to achieve the price we initially managed. Addressing some of the maintenance issues could significantly improve the chances of a successful sale.

This is a honest and constructive review. I left a glowing 5 star review the last time in May 2022 for Enfields Shirley however it all kind of went downhill after that...We accepted an offer on our house back in May (hence the glowing review) up until then with Enfields was good. No issues with the marketing of our home. But then it went awfully quiet once we were given date of when home survey was to be done. We had to continuously chase up ourselves after that, communication was poor. We did a reduction on the offer due to the findings on report and then expected things to move forward. Then we were told the buyer was struggling to get a mortgage. We were in fact told there wasn't going to be a mortgage as buyer was buying the house for her son. Turns out she was looking to buy to let. Had we known that it wasn't a cash buy or that she had no mortgage a.i.p in place we'd not have gone ahead. This took months. I had to email every week to hear yet more delays, it would have been courteous for Enfields to contact me first to keep me in the loop.I did feel during this whole process Enfields was more geared towards the needs of the buyer than us the sellers. We waited weeks for the buyer to find a mortgage (which is not Enfields fault) and then finally sold last week (nearly 5 months). There was a lot of chasing, up to 3 weeks of no communication whatsoever and a lot of distress. One of the staff members then left in Sales Progression, she was taken over by Louise who was really helpful and lovely to talk to. She started chasing for us. Will Piercy, Sales Director is a CREDIT to the team who moved things along for me when I complained, I have always found him to be reliable and understanding.I just wish we had the full picture in the beginning of the process re the buyers intentions and wished communication to be stronger. Other than that, Enfields remain to be more professional than other Estate Agents I've used and having recently had a reshuffle of staff I would be happy to use them again. Thank you.

Our experience with this property management company was horrendous and stressful from start to finish.
We rented flat that had serious damp issues in two separate rooms, which we reported multiple times. Despite our repeated attempts to get help, nothing was ever done to resolve the problem, as the landlord did not want to pay for repairs. As a result, the property developed significant mould throughout, which became a serious health concern.
To make matters worse, the heating in the flat didn’t work properly the entire time we lived there. The radiator in the dampest room didn’t function at all, making it impossible to heat or ventilate the space effectively. Again, despite flagging this repeatedly, the issue was never addressed.
Eventually, the situation became unlivable, and we attempted to break the lease due to the unresolved health hazards. The Enfields initially tried to prevent this, even though they had consistently failed to meet their obligations as managing agents.
Now, over three months after moving out, we still haven’t received our deposit back. The excuse? "The landlord hasn’t responded", which is not acceptable after this length of time. Throughout our tenancy and since leaving, communication has been painfully slow, with emails often only answered at the end of the day, if at all, causing unnecessary delays and added frustration.
This company showed a complete lack of responsibility and care. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting a property through them to think twice. When we moved out they mentioned 'fixing' the issues
including painting over the mould..
