Reliable and professional

There is no doubt in my mind that if we had taken our £1m+ property to any other Estate Agent, then it would not have sold so quickly at the price finally agreed. Through the contacts of Luke Mazonowicz, although the property was marketed, we were able to receive an offer within just a few days of the house being on the market. The selling process was not that smooth as there were potential problems with the survey, problems with tenants and solicitors disagreeing over a 'Covid Clause'. Throughout the pressure to complete quickly and yet at the same time evict tenants, come up with extra documents, do searches and agree over completion dates, Luke remained a) contactable b) positive and c) helpful. Mention should also be made over the brochure produced by Breckon and Breckon. The pictures taken - in particular the kitchen - were superb. Breckon had previously marketed our property in 2016 (a buyer dropped out) so some of the preparatory work had already been done. This gave us confidence. There were delays, true, but outside of Breckon's control. Even though Luke was not always in the office he always replied to emails and phone messages quickly, informatively and professionally. One suggestion: it would be helpful if Breckon and Breckon produced a (branded) folder listing useful (though not recommended specifically) contacts for removals, builders, electricians etc etc. We went from houseowners (of 27 years standing) to tenants and so had to clear our enormous house of furniture in a short time. Some advice in terms of finding new accommodation and emptying the existing house would have been a useful add-on. Competitors to Breckon and Breckon Lettings do provide such help.

Then said that my offer for a place was accepted and only after I had stopped looking for other places told me that it was a mistake and it wasn't actually accepted. Signed on to live at another place and moved in without the furnishings that was promised and had to wait a month for it. Currently living there with a broken window that I notified them about four months and ago and nothing has been done about it yet. Terrible. This is the worst real estate agency I've ever experienced in Oxford. On the way to make an offer, the lady whose name is "Jodie Smith" lied to us. Even though we called several times to her office, her colleague said she was not there or on the phone, which I am not sure it was even true. She sent a one-sentence email long after we needed to hear her response. I would like to point out that this happened even in a situation where she was well aware of the fact that we were in a hurry. Obviously they don't care about customers' situation. Avoid this real estate agency at all cost. My friend at the University of Oxford warned me about this agency but I regret that I didn't take what she told me seriously. If you think you won't be a victim and get into this real estate agency, then this will be one of the biggest mistakes in your life. ++ I cannot reply on your response so I will add it here. We called you in the morning and we said it was urgent. We called you several times throughout 3 hours but you didn't even bother to call us back. You just sent us a one-sentence email 5 hours after you promised to call us back (thankfully you mentioned the exact time you sent us email which was 16.42). This is how you treat customers? Also we called you this morning again and your colleague said you were on the phone. Were you on the phone for 3 hours? It doesn't matter whether our offer is accepted or not. It is about how you guys treat customers. You were disappointed? If you have a little bit of conscience on yourself, you really cannot say this. It is us who are absolutely disappointed. You played with us! Shame on you!

As someone coming from abroad, it is often a nerve-wracking experience renting for the first time, but Breckon and Breckon really guided us through the process from start to finish. Summer was professional and honest during the viewings and Jess was very communicative in coordinating the cleaning and refurbishing of the flat before the move-in.
