A quick note to say how brilliant Hafeez has been since taking over management of my property. Whilst I am very happy with Martin and Co in general, since Hafeez has taken over day to day responsibility it has made my life a lot easier. When a problem occurs he will firstly call, identifying the issue, provided a solution and then follow up with an email. As a landlord this removes the admin burden and I can rely on Hafeez to sort the problem in a time and cost efficient manner.

Over the past 8 months, I’ve had a rollercoaster of feelings towards Martin & Co. At the start of our relationship, I couldn’t fault how insightful, approachable and professional Kate the MD was with understanding both my options in terms of selling or renting.
There have though been challenges along the way, caused by a tenant which I’ve felt could have been better managed/supported with by Martin & Co. Communication is always key to helping you as a landlord gain confidence and trust in the management of your property. On multiple occasions, it’s felt like I’ve been chasing Martin & Co for an update rather than regularly being kept up to date. Or not getting the call/email back as promised which has been the most frustrating experience.
However, most recently my faith in Martin & Co in providing an expected service as part of the fees charged, has been somewhat restored by the services of Sue who has picked up a property not in her portfolio at speed, to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Delivering on her word with communication commitments and providing valuable insight to help me in unknown territory. Ultimately, quickly installing some confidence and trust, to improve my experience as a landlord. Thank you!

Our property manager Sue was fantastic and communicative, some of her earlier colleagues let the side down before we were handled by Sue. Inventory report wasn’t well conducted and left a little vague initially and a few maintenance issues were a hassle. But when Sue took over we had a much better experience of Martin & Co. Shame the landlord is unable to do more work to improve the flat.

We are sorry to hear that you have found the situation distressing and appreciate that ongoing noise can be frustrating for neighbouring residents. We would like to clarify that we have taken all reasonable and available action in response to the concerns raised with us. This has included visits to the property and correspondence with the tenants regarding the issues reported. Following our intervention, we were advised that the tenants had taken steps to reduce the noise that was allegedly causing disruption. As a letting agent, there are limits to the action we can take in relation to alleged noise nuisance, particularly where incidents occur outside our direct observation or control. We therefore advised that any further disturbances should be reported directly to Leeds City Council, who are the appropriate authority to investigate ongoing statutory noise nuisance. We take reports of nuisance seriously and will always respond appropriately to concerns brought to our attention.
