TrustpilotHad a terrible experience while renting…
Had a terrible experience while renting through this agency. The agent called Sophie misled us and the landlord both and falsified information related to the tenancy agreement, inventory and later denied after we had signed the contract. The manager took no accountability of the misconduct either. They basically lie ro you and withhold information until you sign the contract and create a lot of pressure on you to sign it. The flat was given in a dirty condition and we had to get it professionally cleaned even though this was clarified before. I would not recommend this agency to anyone, and if they decide to, should go ahead with caution.

Excellent service from start to finish. Met with Scott, Shuhan and Jatin, who were all extremely professional and took the time to value our home without any pressure.Jatin in particular worked really hard throughout the whole process. He always responded to queries promptly and kept on top of a really long chain. Would recommend the Finchley branch strongly. Thanks again.

Sheriaz was helpful and attentive. He was very committed to completing the let and communicated well to achieve this. Would have been great to have had a floor plan, although Sheriaz facilitated a measuring session for us. Also a more concrete handover process with the landlord would have been helpful, but overall extremely satisfied with this experience. Thanks, Sheriaz!

Terrible communication, we had confirmed a viewing and waited 20 mins but nobody showed up. Went to the office to ask and turns out Sophie had given the appointment to a colleague who left basically on the dot of the appointed time without anyone calling or emailing us (we had tried to call and also emailed saying we were on the way and were 5 mins late but of course there was no response).
Hi,We apologise for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, our negotiator who was scheduled to meet you at the property is on holiday for a week, so we cannot question him. According to our records, he was at the property at the scheduled time, but clearly, something went wrong. Our office is contacting you to see if we can re-arrange a new appointment.

I have been looking for property in the Finchley Central area for a couple of years now. Martyn Gerrard are definitely the most approachable and genuinely interested of the Agents on Ballards Lane. I congratulate Sophie, Scott and Marlon for their help up to date....eventually I shall be buying a property through MG after which I may not have an excuse to drop in to see them which will be a pity.

Our daughter was contacted by this estate agent as she was interested in a property which under offer. She was told the original buyer was out of the picture because of problems with their chain and as she was a first time buyer with no chain would she still be interested. She made an offer which was accepted by the seller. She was told by the agent to quickly organise a survey, Solicitor and sort out her mortgage which she did. We also went to view the property and asked the very same agent if the original buyer was still in the picture, we were assured they were not and there was no contract race. A few days ago our daughter was told the original buyer was back and they were going to exchange contract that week. Nothing illegal was done but we were left with a dirty used feeling. Not only has our daughter lost almost £2000, for a survey, solicitors fees and a mortgage broker but also time she could she have viewed other properties. She would definitely not have got involved if she knew there was a contract race, or the original buyer were still in the background.
Good morning. We are so sorry to hear about your experience. We have looked into what happened to find out what went wrong. As you say the property did have a sale going through, however, the buyer disappeared off the scene, and no one could contact him including his solicitor. The seller told us to put the property back on the market, and the contract with the previous buyer was withdrawn. This was when we contacted you, the sale was agreed and things started to move along. It was some time into the sale to you that the previous buyer re-appeared and through his solicitor approached the seller and offered to exchange contracts which the seller accepted. We can understand how incredibly upsetting and frustrating this is for you. But as the law stands no sale is guaranteed until contracts are exchanged. We are sorry that this happened but I hope you understand we were powerless in these circumstances.
