Ralph, Sheriaz and the team at Martyn Gerrard are absolutely fabulous and go above and beyond to make sure every aspect of the service was perfect. They have exceptional knowledge of the local area and of the flat I was renting out so prospective tenants were fully informed. Complete transparency throughout and regular feedback ensured I was fully informed as well. I've used Martyn Gerrard for years, trust them completely and wouldn't fo any where else. They are the best!

Complicated sale of shared ownership flat

Annie Clarke, Maria Morar and colleagues at Martyn Gerrard were very professional in handing a complicated sale of my shared ownership flat which involved consecutive staircasing and sale. From the first meeting I was given useful documentation for how the process would work and examples of similar sales completed by Martyn Gerrard. There was great communication throughout, from letting me know when viewings were happening to help with chasing solicitors and the housing association in the final stages. They kept me updated with new information and were calm throughout and good at soothing my anxieties when needed!

Great advisors!!!

I really want to send this review for James Gough. He was an excellent support helping with property viewings and a great advisor. I had other agents who had taken me for viewing but James clearly stood out of everyone. I felt James’ support was non biased and genuinely looking to support both buyer and the seller equally. Dear Zlat, I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you and share our experience, because when something works as well as this did, it deserves to be acknowledged. My mother initially put her house on the market with Barnard Marcus, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. In the first four weeks we had just one viewing, and then nothing at all. We were repeatedly told there was interest, but no further viewings materialised. During this period, several estate agents knocked on my mother’s door, and, as you can imagine, they all sounded much the same. Then you called. You sounded different, genuinely different. I mentioned Martyn Gerrard to my mother and she immediately remembered you. After eight weeks on the market with only one viewing, she suggested we terminate the Barnard Marcus contract and bring you on board. I explained our disappointment to their manager, particularly given my mother’s plans to return to Italy, and they agreed to end the contract without cost. I called you straight away. From the moment you came to the house with your colleague, I had a very good feeling about you. You were sincere, genuine, and professional. You took the time to understand the property, talked us through comparable sales in the area, explained clearly how you would market the home, and confidently told us you would sell it. It was a bold statement, but I believed you. From the outset, the difference was clear. Viewings started quickly, communication was consistent, and you kept us fully informed about what was working and what wasn’t. You guided us every step of the way, including two price reductions, always with honesty and reassurance. Eventually, the most wonderful family viewed the property. They made an initial offer which you advised rejecting, they increased, and we happily agreed the sale. I wanted to write this email because we live in a very turbulent society, and when you come across people like you and your team, people who genuinely care, deliver on their word, and do their job with integrity, they deserve gratitude and recognition.
