Had email to confirm viewing appointment with saffron Herbert 10am Friday 7th July . Good job I telephone the office as all I got was . Your not in the diary . I told them I had the email confirmation , we had travel from Newcastle . Spoke to Laurean or Laura she said they have over 20 viewings to do . No apology . Very poor service.

My daughter sold her first property through Charles Carr & the service we received was appalling!! We had an open house (and have since attended one also...the most impersonal experience you could imagine!) she was encouraged to reduce her price almost immediately & eventually sold. This was the last she heard from CC until the day of her exchange...I thought agents were supposed to assist with solicitors? On the contrary, the agent we bought through together called me every week to tell me how things were going & were even able to prevent more detailed updates on our sale than our own agent!! Avoid at all costs, this company is full of manipulative bullies who will happily take advantage of any client with limited experience buying & selling!!

The most useless estate agents I've ever used terrible service from all the staff tried to get things fixed in a flat me and my wife were renting from them all our e mails were ignored it's like the staff just can't be bothered to help you and when we finally moved out it took months to get our deposit back had to contact solicitors and the deposit protection people who the estate agents still ignored I wouldn't even recommend this estate agent to my worst enemy

I would not recommend this Agency to non-UK citizens. They're just not ready to help people in hurry and from outside of UK. Also, keep in mind that once you sign up with them and make any holding deposit, this is not refundable, no matter if is their fault in completing the process. That's how me and my girlfriend lost 500 pounds. When we visited a studio, we agreed with Sarah that we should move quick because we're staying at hotel and we'll transfer the money from a Romanian bank account (in pounds, but in another country). We had to speak with 3 different persons and tell our story 3 times. They just seem not to talk with each other...

Worst estate agents ever! After having three valuations last week, i must say some if the staff there are educated, My valuation manager knew exactly what he was talking about and quoted a fair price, but the lady on the phone was by far some of the rudest service i have received... she was blunt, rushed, very monotone and damn right rude... as soon as she realised i had already booked my valuation she dint care to speak with me. I went into the office and lady "greeted" me, and by this i mean looked up and looked back down, there was several other staff there all on the phone, i appreciate your busy but the one person free should be able to get up and welcome me. Still it took a more senior member of staff to get off the phone and give this lady a nudge to serve me, she was eating chocolate biscuits and covered in crumbs, had very badly applied fake nails which were broken and snapped and did not appear to be interested in anything i had to say. Im am not a snob by no means, but theres a level of customer service i would wish for. I decided not to market my houe with this company, as that is how they would treat the potential buyers of my house.

The Agents involved in my purchase from start to finish were absolutely exemplary. I've been shown round numerous properties by numerous agents in cheap suits chewing gum with too much make up and no real interest in their work. Charles Carr stood out from the crowd from the moment I rang them. No pushy sales pitch; friendly service over the telephone and accommodating to my meagre budget and time constraints. I met Emma at the property and she was just lovely; naturally enthusiastic without being 'in my face' and genuinely a really lovely person who just so happened to be showing me around a property that was above my meagre budget. Had this viewing and my telephone conversations not been so pleasant I would not have offered on the property I now own. Lucy, the agent in the office kept up communications superbly and we shared humour and our frustrations along the way. It was a really personable transaction from start to finish. Lovely lovely team; without you I would not be the owner of my little piece of heaven. Thank you.

After a pathetic attempt at an open day (which was coincidentally scheduled the day after his 14 day cancellation period!!) my son found it almost impossible to get them to take his property off the market!! This agent claims, "we will not tie you into a contract" then tells you they need 28 days notice to cancel...what are we cancelling if we are not tied in to an agreement?? I understand this is only four weeks but it is still a contract!!!

Shocked to see positive Google reviews after my experience, however it seems that 1) Most reviews are from friends of the staff & 2) There are other reviews suggesting review are "bought" by employees!! The environment in this office is very uncomfortable, the gentlemen were uninterested when talking to me & the ladies did not look up for their phones for long enough for me to form an opinion!! Needless to say I hope they do not offer any houses I am interested in as I would hate to have to buy through them!!

Terrible service and not worth the management fee. Impossible to get a response by email and when you phone they say they will call you back but don’t. Constant turn over of staff, which they don’t let you know about. No rent has been paid to me now for 3 months and I have been waiting well over a week for a response on the situation. Come on sort it out!!!!! UPDATED post response: The fact that you have no record of me, speaks volumes for your service. I suggest you check again against current properties you are managing. At least you respond on here faster than you do to emails.

As a company they have folded and reopened trading under the same name. This way they have avoided issues with their previous mismanagement of my property. Appalling from start to finish and one to avoid at all costs. Update: their response to my original review should tell you all you need to know. Incoherent barely literate English and no records (although as a new company technically they will not have access to my complaints against the former).
