As an octogenarian whose wife had dumped him, I was feeling low. Looking for a flat to rent, I contacted Your Move and arranged to view. My daughter and I were met by a charming young lady named Amy, who answered all our questions with effortless ease. The incompetent way Your Move staff handled my effords to find a good flat in southampton, when i found one made a mess of everything but also cost me a good job, to make matters worst it took me two and a half months to get my deposit back,never again will i use Your Moves.

Please do not go with Your Move! We moved into a property which was filled with fallen apart furniture, smelly carpets and sofas covered in dog hair and dog food (even the Hoover was broken because it was blocked with the dog hair and dog food!!). We spent a lot of time refurnishing, fronted the costs ourselves and over the year improved the overall living condition of the house massively. We have now had our entire deposit taken for a flea infestation which was clearly there when we arrived, and Your Move are charging two weeks of rent claiming they had to evacuate the tenants and 3x flea treatments. We called the flea extermination company who told us that treatments would only need to be done a maximum of two times and a property only needs to be evacuated for 2 hours per treatment! Your Move Southampton are dishonest, manipulative and prey on naive people! Steer clear!

Better not to have business with this "agency". Filthy costumer service, zero assistance, zero seriousness and I could continue for hours.. They let you inside a flat that they don't even check properly, describing Fake features that they don't provide. And this is only one of the many problems I have been through thanks to them. Problems that you wouldn't even imagine. Almost risked to be homeless and the only thing they say to you is "go out and take a coffee in the meanwhile". So disappointed and frustrated even now, that after two months of tenancy I still don't have the "privilege" to take a hot shower like normal people.. So disappointed...

This is honestly the worst Agency I have ever had the misfortune of using- extortionate fees to join and resign leases, and have never seen the benefit of that money in the customer service I've received when I've had issues. Genuinely would recommend avoiding if you possibly can.

TL:DR - terrible customer service with arrogant, pushy staff who treat you like an idiot. AVOID for renting if possible!! Although chatty and smiling I found the customer service poor. I had to chase my tail, doing bits and pieces they should have handled! Ended up calling a different branch 3 or 4 times to chase an email that hand't been sent and not once did anyone offer to track down the issue for me. An issue they created! The standing order wasn't set up for the rent. Agents were arrogant and pushy. Incredulous when I had questions about the contract, as if they were shocked I had even read it. Treated me like an idiot. Given the fees and the fact this is a national professional company I would have excepted a greater degree of professionalism and customer service!!
