They tried to scam me out of my deposit. I was told that the landlord was uncontactable and that I couldn’t have my deposit back until he approved it and that he had 90 days to respond. When I finally got the number of the deposit holding company (after weeks of calling and asking for it) they told me that if I had waited 90 days, they would have released the deposit to the landlord and I would have had to go to court to get it back. I was lied to by multiple employees of your move, they refused multiple times to give me any information about the holding company, they were rude and dismissive throughout almost every exchange, they often promised to call me back about the deposit but never did.

This review is for Your Move Gillingham in Kent. I am writing this review with so much pain and frustration in my heart. Your Move you have to do something or I will keep writing. We had agreed to move into the property on the 15th of December. They said to us on this day you sign the contract, make payments and get the keys. We made all plans to get the keys and move, booked leave from work, book a van, called friends to help and the day came and we were told works on the property is not complete and we cannot move in. We were told two rooms would be ready on the 18th and we can move in with our kids while works continues. This was a no no for us, we asked for our holding deposit back to get another property and we were not given our deposit back. They caused us a lot of inconvenience we did not want to make a big deal of it just our deposit back and they refused. This is my worst experience ever, I hope with this review I get my deposit back. I just want to move on. I do not trust them and I am no longer comfortable working with them because even before moving into the property they have made life hell for me and my family. What happens when we move in. The an excuse that the 15th was only a provisional move in date but for us it was a definite move in date. They lied to us. The took our money and don't want to give it back not minding the inconvenience they had caused us. We are being made to pay for their lack of professionalism and lies told to us. This is big time fraud. We kept calling to confirm the move in date of 15th and they always said yes 15th it is and now they say it was a provisional move in date.Please Your Move give us our money back.

I had a very bad experience I went visit a property and it was advertised by the your move in the Gillingham area and the rep from the Gillingham department didn’t even tell us the whole entire time that the property was a corporate sale as the property was repossessed! And on top they charged me £78 for background check that was no refundable! During whole entire time they never told me that the property was repossession and they knew all along!

GoogleI can highly recommend Ollie and his team at Your Move Beccles, they have been nothing but exceptional in my opinion throughout the sale of our property. I’ve thought long and hard to think of anything they did that we didn’t like, and honestly, there’s nothing.
I wanted to leave a review because our dealings with estate agents on our three previous moves were far from perfect, in fact they were typical of what gets this business a bad name.
Before meeting Ollie we had thought we would be using a different agency, however they were nothing like as professional or as realistic about the value of our property.
We actually sold for more than they suggested it was worth and we are in a falling market.
Anyone can sell properties for less than market value, because they generally sell themselves. Think about it, and if you want to achieve a realistic price then give Your Move Beccles a call, you won’t be disappointed.

Rented a property through Your Move, Dudley branch. In my years renting and indeed, experiencing a service, the experience from Your Move Dudley has been one of the worst! They are nothing short of a rent collecting agency. Zero empathy for tenant experience, zero concern when you raise complaints....only interested in collecting rent. The property I rented in Tividale, Oldbury through them was run down and we were told would be repaired prior to move-in date. We paid all the deposit and rent, collected keys only to see that walls have been whitewashed but key parts of the house and garden were in terrible state. Raised complaints, we were pushed to the landlord. Turns out 'landlord' is actually landlords daughter who just wants money. No inventory, no document showing state of the property. If not for my experience and pro-activeness, they would have taken my deposit when I moved out after 1 year. Terrible experience with Your Move Dudley, right up till the day I handed back the keys. If you have another option i.e. agency, for renting or buying, please take it!
