GoogleShocking unprofessional service! Booked viewing last week to see the property at the Meadows, Thurton for today at 1pm. I phoned Oliver James office one hour before the viewing to confirm the postcode ( as they failed to send me confirmation email) to be told that they haven’t booked me in! In fact they have cancelled all the existing viewings due to vendor not being well but failed to communicate it to me, and also the vendor has got an offer already that they are considering. When I told them that based on the listing we were planning to go with the strong offer as this property was our Nr1 choice from all the listings, we were told that unfortunately we will not be able to see the property at all but we can make an offer if we want without seeing it. That was just an absurd suggestion from them as if you ever buy a house without viewing it??!! We drove to see this property for 4 hours with a child, they knew that we are not from the area so could have communicated at least. Absolutely mind boggling attitude, treated me like an absolute zero! Potential buyers Avoid, and sellers be aware that the serious buyers can be treated like a complete nothing. Will not be using this company again. Based on my experience, expect to be completely let down by this office. Although the director Ollie called me later today to apologise and say he will investigate this, that does not change the situation. Unprofessional business.

As I mentioned to you on the phone that I have not received any cancellation email from your agency whatsoever and I did check the junk mail too, and you replied to me that you usually send block emails. So your claims now that you have sent me an email are untrue, and you know it. Nobody offered me any solution, nobody offered to rebook my viewing or anything like that. I was told quite bluntly that will not be able to have a viewing, even when I said that we were going with a very good offer (over asking price), I still was not given any choice. Apart from, that I could make an offer without viewing (I am appalled if you consider it to be a good solution)! You recommend to spend 270k on a property without seeing it??? It is unfortunate to see that you can’t admit that just didn’t send me an email to cancel my booking and I’ve traveled over 4 hours with a toddler for the viewing. And no, you did not offer me a solution! That just shows the poor level of your integrity.

Thank you for leaving us a review. Customer service is of highest priority to our company and of course we are always disappointed to hear of a negative experience.
Having looked into this matter further and as explained on our telephone calls, whilst we were aware of the date and time you were hoping for, it was explained that we would come back to you once we were able to confirm the date and time with our seller, as the property was occupied. We acknowledge a confirmation email would not have been sent to you, as the viewing was not confirmed.
As well as an offer being received on the property from a previous days viewing we subsequently received instructions from our seller to hold fire on any further viewings whilst the offer was considered and also whilst they were experiencing some ill health. At this point, yourself and all other recent enquirers were emailed to explain the situation and that no viewings were going to be booked until we received further instruction. This email was sent two days in advance to the day you were hoping to view.
Because of these reasons, we were of course surprised to hear from you when you called to ask for address details and we did sympathise with the unfortunate situation. Whilst a team member talked through the situation and tried to offer solutions, you explained you did not wish for them to assist you any further. Keen to understand your experience, our director called you on a day of annual leave, to discuss your concerns and again after listening and offering solutions / further investigation you explained you did not wish for us to take any further action.

GoogleRight from the start of the selling process, this team have been the best team I have ever worked with.
From Oli initially coming to value to house and assist us with that to then working with Maya and Jacob on the whole sale it has been as seamless as they could make it.
Maya has been so patient and never pushy unlike how I know other estate agents can be! She’s always been quick to respond and assist us with any queries we had.
Jacob has been amazing chasing the sale and making sure we had all our ducks in a row. Nothing was ever too much of an ask for Jacob.
I truly could not recommend this team highly enough and rave about them to any of my friends if they even hint at putting their house on the market 🤣! You all are phenomenal at your jobs and are the best in Beccles by a long stretch!
