We have been looking for a house for a long time and have experience with many Agents in the Ashtead Leatherhead Fetcham area. We had arranged for 3 valuations, and Cédric was the only one who came in excited to see the property and gave us confidence in his ability to sell it at the right price. GoogleI cannot thank Jack and Cédric from White and Sons Leatherhead for all their hard work when selling our leasehold flat. They found us a buyer twice after our first one pulled out at the last minute and they then went above and beyond to get us to completion after a couple of hiccups with a tricky lease. Jack especially was always super understanding, kind and professional even in the most frustrating circumstances and I'm so glad I chose them to sell my flat! I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to sell in the area.

After four years of being a reliable tenant, All rent paid on time, I’m shocked that White & Sons are trying to take a large portion of my deposit over trivial issues. They listed things like a grain of dust as justification for charging me for a full professional clean. That’s not wear and tear that’s nitpicking. I kept the property clean, took photos before leaving, and handed it back in good condition. Yet they still tried to push excessive charges. I’ve since seen other tenants reporting the same behaviour, which says a lot. Tenants deserve fairness, not exploitation. If this happens to you, don’t accept it use the deposit protection scheme dispute process, which is there to stop agencies from making unreasonable deductions.
As part of our end of tenancy process, we compare and contrast your initial check-in report with your check-out report and highlight any discrepancies. As part of this process, regardless of how earnestly you have been paying your rent, we have a responsibility to the landlord to record any issues we find. In accordance with your terms and conditions, the landlord has the right to request that these be rectified using your deposit. Having been managing tenancy for decades, we pride ourselves on our objectivity during this process. In the very rare occurrence, the TDS are there as an impartial mediator, should a tenant feel that these findings are not to their satisfaction. We wish you well with your claim and will, of course, uphold any decision they make.
