Impressive from the start. Thank you to Zoe for bringing everything together in order for us to live in our dream home.Service excellent. House excellent. Quality of fixtures excellent. Amount of space in the property is excellent. Storage availability is excellent. Quality of products used (appliances, doors, windows and fixtures) genuinely excellent. Great team on mortgage side. Attention to detail on finishing is excellent. We would strongly recommend Strata to anyone investing in a home. Struggling to put into words how elated we are with everything. This is the second house we've ever purchased brand new (from plan) and our experience on this occasion has exceeded all expectations. We had to look very hard to find the smallest of snags as everything was finished so well with attention. Instead of being let down with lower quality fixings/products (as happened in our previous home) our expectations have been exceeded again with quality sinks, taps, handles, windows, extractor fans, etc etc etc. Zoe, thanks, Melanie and Chelsea thanks, Dan and Nik thanks, thanks head office for top level service. Brilliant experience

Experience with strata has been amazing. Zoe has been brilliant and is really friendly and has been really helpful throughout the process. Strata - Definition

This is my first home and at first I was apprehensive about buying a new build. However, from the first day of stepping into Strata’s offices and following a recommendation from a family member who has already purchased a property with them, I have not been disappointed. Although the house is not yet fully complete, I could not fault Strata for how they’ve handled the process - informative, proactive and great customer care. A massive thank you to Tara who has been an absolute star, always keeping me up to date with build progress and checking in to make sure all is okay. From looking at the brochure to choosing interior furnishings, Tara has been an absolute pleasure to have worked with and a real credit to Strata! Let’s hope I am just as pleased with the final product when it’s complete.

Save your money and shop elsewhere!

The buying experience for us was full of false and misleading information, we had incentives to purchase our home offered, removed and then they were only reoffered when we threatened to pull out of the sale and I mentioned the failures of communication and the horrors they were causing with the Yorkshire development being ripped down due to the HS2 line going immediately through houses they had built and sold.Our house was built without gable end windows because the years model of our house wasn’t to have them! We only realized this when we were taking on to site and realized they were missing as the house was half way up. This fact was never communicated to us on securing the plot and we made the comment SEVERAL times the one main factor of us buying the house was they were really light and airy. - So I would of liked someone to have mentioned something maybe? Strata felt that a couple of additional spot lights and a bit of free carpet would resolve this issue, it pacified us. The time scale of the house being ready to move in moved all over the calendar and ended up in an argument between myself and the building manager who basically made it extremely apparent that actually he didn’t like me very much or actually my concerns really were not relevant for “his timescale”.Moving in the initial aftercare I couldn’t really fault other than the close we moved onto was very unfinished therefore the roads were really dirty, paths ect wasn’t ready!We had some minor teething problems most of which were relating to plumbing leaks ect and Strata were quite attentive in sorting, but shortly after the 8 weeks aftercare it seems there was really never a rush to get our concerns sorted!On move in day we had to have the plumber out within the first couple of hours as they had FAILED to tighten waste pipes to kitchen sink and bath leading to leaks. Since then we have had 2 major leaks due to poor plumbing in our family bathroom (again due to ineffective fixing of pipes). This led to water flooding the bathroom and leaking down the cavity wall into the living room. Our ensuite shower has now been attended too 4 times for leakages and breakage of a regulator valve, it still appears that it may be leaking regardless of all of this even though they have removed the shower cubicle and reinstalled these 3 times now. Furthermore, our family bathroom shower has proven that in fact it’s a poorer quality as it looked as this has now broken after being used less than 20+ times! Contacting strata with this and quite rudely shunned off as now out of there warranty period!To make matters worse we are now day 5 of no hot water in the house as our boiler is now on the brink. The heating system is just over 2 years old, and its completely up to date with its servicing. I have emailed to reiterate that further issues are now appearing, and the response basically reads…. Not our issue.Fantastic!Definitely won’t be recommending any further potential home buyers your way anytime soon.

Highly recommended

After having a very bad experience with another new build company (Kier) we walked into the strata office at the Destiny site and straight away Julie made us feel welcome. Not only did she make us feel welcome but she restored our faith in humanity and helped us out with advice & information when we were in a very difficult situation. The whole buying process from start to finish has been so much easier than we’ve ever experienced before, a lot less stressful and a lot more enjoyable. Julie has been there for every phonecall and visit and helped us out with the million +1 questions we’ve had. Out of all of the new build sales offices we have been in (a lot) with other companies Julie has by far been the most helpful, polite and informative person we have come across and we are delighted to be buying a house with her and the strata team. Hopefully everything runs just as smoothly with the exchange of contracts and then we can start getting (more) excited to move into our beautiful new family home. Thank you very much to Julie and everyone at strata! I would definitely recommend.

We found Strata back in August 2018 while searching for our first home around Derby area. Have visited and investigated quite a few new developments before that but nothing really tempted our hearts unlike Strata due to affordable offers and unique property designs inside out. Our house reservation and legal process progressed very swiftly and as first time buyers we were very happy with the support all around. Would have had zero stars if possible

Strata, Epitome, Wakefield:***UPDATE***I don’t know how it passed - if one was carried out. Please send me proof of these tests.Poor service all round from Strata. Where to begin.... I would have given zero stars but not possible. We move into our lovely five bedroom Palermo home in February 2018, and we are still waiting for our snagging to complete!! Strata seem to think this is acceptable.We first reported a problem with our heating and water (no hot water on day 2, back of the house so cold it wasn't habitable). The water was eventually sorted out, but an emergency plumber wouldn't come out, so husband had to be talked through a workaround solution - this stayed in place for a good couple of months.Heating was eventually sorted out in December - 10 months after we moved in - again Strata seem to think it is acceptable. Response from Strata throughout was that they couldn't find anything wrong. Eventually, it was discovered that there were gaps in the brickwork and the outdoors where they hadn't sealed the property correctly. We had paint on just about all carpets, drainage smells, windows not shutting/staying open, leaking showers, problems with the external doors. The list goes on and on. Most of the jobs on the list were very small and wouldn't have taken long to fix, but they dragged on. They claim they have a Customer Care team - do they? I'm not sure they do, this must be a figment of their imagination, if they do then they need to make it an efficient team.Strata do not get back to you; you spend your life chasing them up for responses. Workers don't turn up when you have to wait in all day for them.STRATA: YOur information is incorrect. I was speaking to Strata on a daily basis and calling into the sales office as you failed to remedy the situation so there was NOT an 8 month delay as you are trying to make out!!! You took that long to fix the situation that we had summer in the way. We then had to wait for the weather to change to get this sorted which took you a further 2 months to sort. Stop trying to make out that this is our issue, strata clearly failed. How the house passed director inspection and air tests I don’t know because it clearly failed when they came back in December and spent all day filling gaps!!We are still waiting for our guttering to be fixed - getting radio silence again!!!

We found Destiny Strata in Feb 2016, placed our interest and everything went from there. We dealt with Karen in the Sales Office, Ian and Billy were our site Managers, they came through the whole journey with us and honestly nothing was too much trouble, they went above and beyond, keeping us up-to-date and even getting us in before our mortgage offer ran out. Says who buying a house is a nightmare!

Buying a house is never easy. Our journey in getting this house that we call it HOME, however, with Strata was exciting, adventurous and smooth. Me and my partner were looking for a perfect house and the Montreux at Strata Definition is the perfect house that ticks most of the boxes. Immediately, we placed a reservation for the plot (April 2018). Tara Osman have been a great customer service and very helpful in walking through this journey with me and my partner. From the early reservation stage to recently moved into the house in December 2018. We would like to thank Ryan Stancill for taking care of us after we have moved in. Ryan is brilliant and very dedicated in his role as the site manager. He will make sure that we are satisfied with the conditions of the house and will immediately see to it if any repairs arise. Fab experience with the team at Definition, Derby

Fab experience with the team at Definition in Derby where we have just moved into our new home (Nov 18). Tara has always been brilliant with our customer service and eased our worries when we had a build delay. We wouldn't have known about the Rosas and where to find a show home to view this style of house if it wasn't for Tara taking the time to listen to what we loved about the other show homes and realising that something like the Rosas is what we were looking for, and now we have the beautiful house we were looking for! Ryan was fab after we got the keys to the house, snags are still being worked on and so far so good but one think I would highly comment him for is how much he has cared and ensured that our house cats are looked after with the building teams going in and out of the house while we are at work. Very grateful for this care and really appreciate Ryan and the team for working around them and making sure they stay safe :)

Strata Temptation Burton upon Trent

For two people who were definitely never going to buy a new build property, the Strata experience has been excellent from start to finish. We took a lot of time searching for the right home and eventually fell upon the Temptation development in Burton Upon Trent. We were well supported through all stages, including finding a property that would be suitable for us, in the right part of the development, through to support with the legal process. We were given access to the house we were buying as often as we wanted and Zoe in the sales office was incredibly helpful. Once we had completed the sale, we were given a good induction to the house by the Site Manager, Greg. Any snagging issues have been dealt with efficiently and professionally by Daz and his team and i can't fault the entire process. Overall, it has been a simple and pleasurable process to buy a property from Strata and we have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone, including people like us who definitely don't want a new house.
