Estate Sale in Bromley

As the Executor of my brother's estate and living in Canada, I was responsible for selling his house in Bromley. This proved to be a long and difficult process. Efficiency with kindness, consideration and integrity

Over the past year I have dealt with Sinclair Hammelton as seller, then as buyer and now as a potential landlord. Russell, Natalie and all the staff at Sinclair Hammelton seem to recognise that buying or selling a house is one of life's most stressful events.. In recent transactions, first as vendor and then as a purchaser, my experience was that each stage of the process was handled efficiently, and any concerns were discussed promptly and without fuss. Exactly what you want from an Estate Agent! Best Around!

Below, is text from a Thank You e mail I sent in to manager Paul Cook. They are an excellent agent and to compare with other agents I have been dealing with for a purchase, they are the best! Great people and even better service. "From the beginning to the very end you and your team, especially Chris, were professional, helpful and enthusiastic. You were always at the end of the phone with advice and you persevered when the sale became difficult and we encountered problems. When you first came to value the property, I had 4 other agents also come and value for me. You were by far the best prepared. You had clearly done more research into the market and also into the target audience for the property and its type than the others. You came across humble (which many agents I have dealt with, have not) and just generally like a good set of people to deal with. You were on time, well presented and you communicated clearly, helping me to understand what I was letting myself in for. (Important, as I was a first time seller!) The literature you presented was impressive and well laid out. Again, as a comparison, others were poorly branded or at the other end of the scale, too filled with jargon and too much a salesman's tool instead of a source of information as well for the potential client. I chose you for all of the above reasons and because you stood out from the crowd. In my profession it is important for me to deal with good people, I build teams based on this principle and to me you felt like the best people. All the way through the process, Chris, who took on my sale, was polite, courteous, understanding, honest and always happy. Again, he felt like a good guy and it came across that he really cared because he took the time to know what was going on and he always knew what stage my sale was at and how it was progressing. When we had issues with valuations and buyers, Chris stayed calm and made clear to me the options I had which made decisions easier for me. Whenever I met in person with Chris he was always smiling and showed a passion for what he was doing. This can be all too rare and it was always a pleasure to do business with him. Whenever, I rang in, if Chris was not available, you would always talk to me about the progress and you took the time to ask how I was and how it was going. This was always a nice personal touch. Whenever I had to deal with other staff in your office, they were also fantastic. Again, to compare with other agents, to be told that a message will be passed on or that you will get a call back by a certain time and that happen is refreshing and well received. As I said, from start to finish, it really was a pleasure dealing with you and your team. Please pass on my thanks, especially to Chris as I felt he did a great job."

Tenacity, determination and patience to manage a long chain

Our house was sold quickly and efficiently for a good price. Then the fun began. Morwenna kept our buyers on side and kept pushing at every link of the chain (up to 11) over the next 6 months. We were glad we had not used an internet agent as Sinclair Hammelton's local knowledge of the areas and agents in the chain was helpful in managing the chain. They also kept us well informed.

First class and professional service

I was searching for a buy to let property in the Bromley South area, close to the shops and railway station with a budget up to £250,000. I wanted a local agent who knew the area well and therefore would be able to give me an idea both as to the current price within the market and also potential rental income. Matthew, the agent I was dealing with was professional and courteous throughout the process. Despite viewing many properties and putting offers on some of those properties and not getting them, we persisted until we landed our purchase. Matthew kept me updated throughout the transaction, all the way up to completion. Everyone at Sinclair Hammelton were very engaged with us as clients so we felt we had support from a whole team of people looking after the sale of our property. Everyone was prepared to go the extra mile but Morwenna Wittey gets a special mention. She was brilliant at managing a drawn out exchange of contracts period, keeping everything on track when things just did not go as planned. We bought our house of them and sold our house with them and would be very happy to recommend them. They have to compete with several of the bigger chains of estate agents but their local knowledge of the house market and their attention to service standards give them an edge.

Excellent support and assistance from finding property to moving in

Natalie Lazzam is one in a million. Having found my perfect flat Natalie has constantly liaised with both vendor and my solicitors, chasing them up and updating me. Took a lot of work from me making the transaction as painless and trouble free as possible. She clearly loves her work and takes pleasure in finding the right home for you even steering me when she knew it wasn't right. She got to know my requirements and when I got a bit down about not finding it immediately continued to go out of her way to search and inform me when properties coming on she thought would fit. Natalie is an extremely kind and upbeat agent who never pressurised me but showed her dedication in identifying properties she thought would suit my search. She stayed committed until keys exchanged and maintained her professionalism at the forefront. A no nonsense and business approach with a personal touch with keenness to secure my new home. In fact when she was out of the office Luke was also extremely helpful and so I never felt as though things were sliding. A very smooth experience with strong support from Natalie to a successful move. Would definitely sell my flat with them when the time comes, but a while yet as love my new home

Forget everything you think of estate agents!

Selling your home is considered, alongside divorce and christmas, one of the most stressful situations that one can experience. . . Not with Sinclair Hammelton. my family's dealings with them were as painless as they could have possibly been.
