We used Ryder and Dutton for both our sale (Rochdale) and our purchase (Rawtenstall). Our main contacts were Naveen Naheed and Ada Grundy, though everyone we spoke to at any time during the process was professional and helpful. To say Naveen and Ada went the extra mile to get our sale and purchase completed is a total understatement, they each ran an extra marathon! In the face of frustrating delays they persisted in chasing various third parties, and were always on the end of the phone to give us updates, our just allow us to vent our own frustration at the long drawn out stages of our sale. Naveen bore the brunt of this, as most of the problems we encountered were with the sale of our Rochdale property, but throughout the process Ada kept in touch, and kept our purchase on track through her reassurances to the vendor of the Bacup property. Both these ladies were our heroes, and literally kept us (just about!) sane throughout the proceedings. Naveen and Ada were both absolutely brilliant in their efforts and attitude, and finally were instrumental in bringing our sale and purchase to successful conclusions in the face of many delays and difficulties. They deserve and have our heartfelt gratitude and praise.

GoogleMy experience with Ryder & Dutton Oldham has been extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this estate agent. I believe my purchase was rushed through without proper transparency. Internal notes that I later obtained indicate that concerns about possible Japanese knotweed on land behind the property were being discussed before I completed my purchase. Proof of the notes ect.pdf Despite this, I do not believe I received clear written advice explaining the potential impact of these concerns or recommending that I obtain specialist investigations before proceeding. I also instructed Wrigley Claydon, located only a short distance away, as my conveyancing solicitors, but I do not believe the seriousness of these concerns was properly communicated to protect my interests. There were several warning signs during the transaction, including discussions about Japanese knotweed, yet I completed the purchase without fully understanding the potential financial consequences. I believe these issues should have been handled far more carefully. When I later complained, I found the communication and customer service to be poor. I was left feeling ignored and unsupported while trying to obtain answers. This has had a significant financial and personal impact on me. I intend to continue pursuing my complaint through the appropriate complaint bodies, and I believe my experience deserves wider public attention. I hope consumer journalists will take an interest so that others can make informed decisions. Based on my experience, I would advise anyone buying a property through Ryder & Dutton to ask detailed questions, request written confirmation of any material issues, and ensure all potential risks are fully investigated before exchanging contracts.

As we have stated in our communications with you, our records show that the information known to us at the relevant time was disclosed to you promptly when it first came to our attention. You acknowledged this fact when our branch manager spoke with you in May. We have investigated your complaint thoroughly and have provided our final response. Should the matter now be referred to our independent redress scheme, we will cooperate fully with their investigation.

My sale has been far from straightforward but I'm very happy with the service I've received from Ryder & Dutton staff at Rawtenstall, especially Ada who has really gone the extra mile right up to the last minute, explored all options to get my house over the line and it finally got there. Thank you Ada. I also have to thank Naveen from the Rochdale office who really stepped up and helped the sale finally go through in the last few weeks.
