We have been looking at Robertson homes at Glendevon Grange and have tried to reserve on every release but keep missing out due to the popular demand. Robertson homes are one of the few house builders that have several house designs we would be happy to chose from. I wonder though if there is a fairer way to do the reservation process when you have so many people looking to purchase? The service from the sales representative George has been outstanding. He has spent hours answering our questions and reassuring us we will be able to secure our new home. We looked at all of the developers close by and could have secured a home with one of them but we felt we would be compromising on the style and layout that we desperately want. We feel the homes on offer from Robertson are miles apart and the garden rooms are just incredible.

From the outset, our house purchase experience at Calderwood in East Calder has been very professional. Both Kim (Sales Executive) and Greig (Site Manager) were maticulous in their approach, detailing every step of the build along the way. Whenever we had any questions, about the build or the choices that were available, we always received a prompt reply. To anyone considering purchasing a property from Robertson Homes in the future, I would thoroughly recommend them as a builder as our experience has been fantastic.

Both of them have been welcoming, approachable and professional and we feel the building of our new home is in safe hands as both of them clearly take a pride in their work. Kim has been so helpful and proactive in keeping us up-to-date with where we are at with the house build and what we need to be doing and her patience and relaxed manner have really added to our enjoyment and positive experience of buying a home from Robertson's.

Exceptional service so far!We were looking for a new home for a long time and we’re continually getting out bid by higher offers on the 2nd hand market, homes going to closing dates etc, it all got pretty stressful and we thought we were never going to find a new home! We then decided to consider a brand new home. We had our heart set on Winchburgh and looked at several house builders within the area. We initially decided on a Cala home and we’re really excited, we had almost gone to reservation, but again we continually missed out due to people higher up the list. When we met George at Robertson everything changed.Robertson have a small development in Winchburgh with lots of open space, the specification is fantastic with high ceilings and branded fittings as standard.Once we met George the sales experience was very different from other developers we had looked at. He made us feel like it was possible to reserve our new home, he was really warm and naturally friendly, we didn’t feel pressured and he made us feel at ease from the moment we walked into the sales office. We didn’t feel like we were judged and he really took the time to go over our requirements and provided us with all the crucial information we needed. At this point we knew Robertson were the builder for us. George spent a lot of time with us prior to reservation and helped us decide on the house style that suited us best, he made us think of things we hadn’t even thought of. When it came to choosing our options for our new home he helped us design it and gave us his honest opinions and suggestions, he has really went above and beyond and shared his interior design tips! We feel really lucky to be buying a new home from Robertson. My only criticism so far would be the length of time it took for options prices to come back but this is more from head office as opposed to the sales team. We can’t wait to move into our new home.

I would rate this company no stars but have to leave a star to write a review. I moved into our new flat at Braehead on 27/11/20. On the day we moved in we noticed numerous major and minor faults. The most dangerous was a defective flat door which did not meet fire regulations . Most of windows were badly marked and not sealed. Internal door seals missing the list is pages long. After 6 months after numerous botched jobs in the front door we got a new one. We have now found our floor boards in two rooms finished over an inch from flat walls and there is a cavity below. Floors are creaking as well as not fitted to the wall. On reporting this and sending pictures they did not even come out and stated Sept 13th earliest date they can come out. Very bad customer service as if fire below us smoke would enter thru cavity and kill us in our beds. The flats finish is very bad and is not the quality product we were promised by the builder. Once they have your money you are forgotten about and have to fight for the snags to be fixed. Apart from my numerous snags my flat is a fire risk and dangerous. Also we have no car park for 6 months plus as they left it as a dump and never came back. Avoid this builder at all costs. I have been asked to send my details I will update if they help me .

Disgrace of a company, fought them for 2 years over the state of my property they are not interested when they take your money. Hundreds of issues and had to force Nhbc to make them fix our water logged garden. which still they refused to fix so now Nhbc have had to pay us to get a contractor in. How they get away with building garbage is beyond me customer service is a disaster and the management are just pathetic AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS THEY RUIN PEOPLES LIVES, quantity before quality is their motto!!!!!!

People in dargavel need to relax, the school is delayed by 6 weeks just like some people homes and I don't see protests getting held about this.Most schools are letting the kids attend until the school is built.Dargavel is a beautiful village but many people are vile who live here. Wanting to hold protests so council houses don't get built and now due to the school being delayed, we all just probably faced toughest year of our lives, lost homes, jobs, people we care about. Let's just take a step back and try work together on what we can do, rather than these silly protests when outcome won't be any different.

Cannot fault this company! I bought a house at the Ness Castle site in Inverness and from start to finish the process was flawless. Extremely well looked after by the sales team throughout, great communication regarding choices and how the sale would work. Since moving in any issues (which were all minor) have been seen to very quickly by Garry (foreman) and his team’s outstanding customer service. Would highly recommend Robertson Homes!

Robertson homes have distanced themselves from Robertson construction due to an ongoing crisis in Bishopton. However they make it clear on their own website they are the same (Robertson group brochure)Robertson are currently building a largeNumber of houses in Dargavel village, have the resources, manpower and materials to throw up properties. Fast turn around, quicker revenue.A few hundred yards away they are building a school for the families they are taking money from. Amazingly they do not have the resources, manpower or materials for this project. They are moving families into an area where the children are being crammed into temporary accommodation within another school as they choose to deploy resources to home building. Unethical, greedy and unacceptable.

Awful company!!! Making promises they can’t keep, blatantly lying and putting profits before the needs and education of the kids due to attend Dargavel Primary.***Update in response to below***Both companies are owned by the same person am I wrong? Two weeks ago we were told the school would be ready and now all of a sudden it won’t be! Robertson Homes are still getting their new houses built and sold with no issues, I’m sure if they really wanted to resources could be transferred over to the school to get it ready on time!

Responsible for building Dargavel Primary School. Have let an entire community down by delaying the opening of the school at very short notice. Promised all on track only a few weeks ago but with no adequate explanation, school now delayed. Happy to prioritise building houses at the expense of leaving a school unfinished.**EDIT** I believe Robertson Homes and Robertson Construction are all part of the same company therefore I intend to keep my original review!

Extremely poor communication and unable to complete on time, or even within a reasonable time scale. Once they have your money, they don't care about anything else. Happy to put profits above children's education and well being. Have massively let down the community within Dargavel Village within Bishopton. I wouldn't trust this builder.

And now they are asking me to remove my post as always using covid as an excuse for late build! The school has been in the planning stage for years, if a company like yours chooses to leave it to the last minute to order materials then I would be trusting you with my new home, workmanship and timescales, the 2 most important things to a new home buyer! This is not a company to be trusted. Profit before children!! This company took on a contract with Renfrewshire council to build a school within Dargavel village and have back tracked on their completion date causing confusion and anxiousness to parents and children about the temporary arrangements now in place for august. This company will attempt to claim that they have nothing to do with Robertson construction. They are the same company with the same board of directors headed up by Bill Robertson who should be ashamed!

Robertson construction & Robertson homes are both building within Dargavel Village in Central Scotland. They share the same board of directors & according to there website statements they were both founded by Bill Robertson (William George Robertson) of Elgin. Robertson construction have reversed on their commitment only 3 weeks ago to deliver a school (6 years in the planning) in time for the new school year. Their sister company Robertson Homes continues to build new homes in the area where there is now not adequate educational resources due to Robertson construction not delivering to their commitments. i do not recommend Robertson Homes as they are affiliated with their sister company who obviously can not deliver infrastructure in a timely and transparent manner.

Should be a ZERO. Do not trust Robertson Homes. They are building the new school at Dargavel and have massively lied to parents and the local authority about progress and completion dates. The school was due to open in August, two weeks ago the builder confirmed all was on track... only to completely turn around and say the build won’t be ready. We have heard rumours staff have walked out because of pay disputes. Do not trust this builder! They have let down 300 families.

Robertson construction & Robertson homes are both building within Dargavel Village in Central Scotland. Robertson homes are still managing to throw up homes however there will be no school for yo children to attend within the area due to Robertson construction being awarded the contract by BAE & Renfrewshire council to complete the build of the Dargavel primary school, this school is the only school being built in the area to educate the children of this development, The current local school are now erecting cabins to teach kids (it's like going back to the 70s). THREE weeks ago it was agreed that although the top floor of Dargavel primary school would be delayed to complete small jobs like painting etc. the bottom floor would safely open to all children in August 2021. Today I am reviewing Robertson homes as on the 7th of June it was conveyed to Bae that the school would in fact not be open on time & the reason behind this was construction workers walking off site for better paid jobs on other sites. The schools close in 13 days for the end of term and children & parents now do not know what to do for not only safety due to high numbers now being squashed into an already full school during CoVid restrictions (see we can use that excuse too) but also what is the best for our childrens education. My advice is don't touch Robertson Homes while they are failing at providing the basic infrastructure through there sister company.

Robertson Homes have put profits before children and cannot be trusted. They have failed to build Dargavel Primary on time as contractually agreed - between the space of two weeks the narrative changed from the whole school would be ready - to be school building would not at all be finished at all. The result of this means that hundreds of children will now need to try and squeeze into Bishopton Primary School is complete. This will be an overwhelming experience for the children, particularly be very high number of P1s. Robertson Homes need to rectify this situation immediately and open Dargavel School in August as was contractually agreed.Edit in reply to the below- I am interested to know how you are so aware of the situation at Dargavel Primary if you are not the company responsible for it? It does not seem right or correct that you should answer on behalf on them. I do not think you would reply on their behalf, therefore the only alternative explanation would be that Robertson Construction and Robertson Homes are the same company and therefore I shall not remove my review.

Since starting the project, we have been complying with stringent safe operating procedures which are in place to protect both the workforce and the community. This has resulted in a reduction of the number of people who can be on-site at any one time. Safety is our number one priority and as a result we cannot and will not compromise the health and wellbeing of our workforce or the communities we work in. “Due to the ongoing impact of the pandemic and the effect that this has had on our industry, coupled with our priority to keep the communities where we work and our workforce safe the school will not be handed over in August. “We appreciate the frustration of the local community and would like to assure them that we share their desire for a high-quality school which will enhance attainment and benefit the local community for years to come.“The date for opening the new Dargavel Primary School will be announced shortly.”ENDS

Deplorable behaviour from Robertsons. Leaving hundreds of children without a school. What's worse is that they are doing absolutely nothing to rectify this. No representation from Robertsons has come forward to explain or apologise. Council confirming materials and resource is an issue, yet new houses are flying up daily. Sort your priorities out, Robertsons. Get the job finished. Putting profit before our children's education, mental health and general wellbeing is sickening. Make it happen!***Editing in response to Robertson's response*** You are all part of the same group and you clearly know all about it, so can you please explain why Robertson's only advised BAe/the council and hundreds of families on Monday 7th June (3 weeks before the end of term) that we would be without a school come August, if the pandemic is to blame? Abysmal company. Responsible for the building of Dargavel Primary School. Have let down an entire community by a last minute announcement that the school will not be ready for completion in August 2021, despite assurances to the contrary only a matter of weeks ago. Daughter is due to start Primary 1 in a matter of months, and what should be an exciting time is now tainted with stress and uncertainty. Inexcusable.
