We honestly cannot thank Diane enough for everything she has done for us throughout the process of securing our dream home. From the very beginning, she has been absolutely amazing. She has guided us through every step of what can be such a stressful and overwhelming process, always making us feel reassured, supported and completely looked after. Nothing has ever felt like too much trouble, and she has always been there to answer our (my) many questions and no question has ever been silly! She has explained things clearly and kept us updated. Her knowledge, professionalism and genuine care have made such a huge difference to our experience. Buying our dream home is such a huge milestone for our family, and we genuinely feel so lucky to have had her beside us throughout the journey. She has gone above and beyond, and we could not recommend her highly enough. Thank you for helping make such a special dream become a reality. We will always be incredibly grateful!!

Sales at Winchburgh Castlegate

Sales at Winchburgh Castlegate I have reserved a plot at Castlegate with Diane and have been so impressed with the experience so far. Diane is incredibly professional and the entire process has been seamless. She spent a lot of time making sure that I understood everything, taking me through the process and finishings, making sure that I wasn’t overwhelmed by the choices. She also referred me to a mortgage adviser who worked directly with Robertsons meaning that the input required from me was minimal. I am really looking forward to seeing my house take shape and getting the keys!

Gillian from the sales team is amazing…

Gillian from the sales team is amazing , just made us feel so welcomed and we thoroughly enjoyed working with her and developed a close friendship. Thank you Gillian if not for you I don’t think we would have been able to get so attracted to the Shawfair site. Overall Robertsons are quick and efficient, although they are expensive they do deliver the quality so totally worth it! That said, we are bit disappointed that garden is undone with no turf and would cost us few thousands , would have appreciated if basic turf is done , it’s an unexpected expense which we were not aware until late in the process.

We moved into our Robertson home in December and so far so good. We’ve settled in and it really feels like home. The process of purchasing our home was made easy and as stress-free (as possible!) thanks to Gillian Sosa. Her knowledge and guidance were exceptional. From our first enquiry to viewing the Robertson properties, Gillian put our needs as a family at the forefront and really considered what property was right for us. Always helpful, Gillian's professionalism and care were evident throughout the process, as she kept us informed every step of the way. Throughout the process we felt valued and supported, making our home-buying journey with Roberston a really positive experience. Gillian was instrumental in finding the perfect home for us and we’re very grateful for her guidance and support through the whole process. Since moving in the level of service continues to be high. The Robertson team on site provide good communication, with regular updates, and make themselves available when we experience any issues or have any queries about our property. Moving from England to Scotland was stress on top of the usual house move stresses! Diane and Joyce were totally superb in sales. Very patient and always enthusiastic - it was a long wait! We bought a house from Robertson Homes in September 2025. Their service has been absolutely brilliant from start to finish. House quality is 100% we absolutely love our house. The rooms are excellent size for our growing family. We received a house gift from Robertson when we moved in. A beautiful box full of goodies from The White Company (which must have cost a pretty penny) this was a beautiful touch by Robertson’s - love it 🥰 Diane from the sales office at Rosslynlee is an asset to Robertson’s. Her customer service is 5 stars. Russell the site manager at Rosslynlee has also been amazing, friendly and very helpful whenever we needed anything sorted or fixed. Highly recommend a Robertson Home to anyone who is thinking about buying one. Tracey x

We just moved into our new home at St Margaret's, Rosslynlee, and love it. We had a difficult process with our own house sale and we're very grateful to Robertsons for allowing us to keep the new house reserved while that was going on; I don't think any other builders would have. A special thanks to Diane for being so kind and patient with us throughout. The site manager, Russell, has also been great so far at attending to small snagging issues.

We bought at Torvean Inverness. From seeing the house to moving in was a short 5 weeks. We mainly dealt with Dan ( Sarah equally as helpful and friendly) who was amazing. Open, honest and very knowledgeable. We know exactly what we had to do, the appointment we needed to attend, selection of interiors, meeting with site managers, the documentation reviews and approval and handover. We were involved along the way. We have just moved in and we are so happy and want to say a big thank to Dan for his patience and understanding. From a buying perspective it was amazing and relatively stress free. Hopefully we will not have too many snags and it over to customer care to see if they can live up to the high bar the sales team have achieved

Avoid Robertson Homes

I am dismayed with the way Robertson Homes has handled my complaint regarding recurring water ingress associated with my Robertson home. Following the reappearance of staining, concerns were raised regarding shower tray movement and support. Despite acknowledging that it cannot rule out a connection with the previous repair, Robertson Homes declined to undertake any further investigation and so a fault they know exists in the property, they wash their hands of. Do not buy a Robertson home, it will cost you thousands of your own money correcting building mistakes.

Although we haven’t purchase yet, meeting with Gillian at Shawfair development in Edinburgh has already been an outstanding experience. We visited the site and the show home, and we certainly were not disappointed. It's Roberston over and over again for us

It’s been seven months since we moved into our home in Hamilton Heights, and the experience has been truly exceptional. Every snagging issue was addressed promptly and with the highest level of professionalism. The support we received both before and during the move was outstanding. ⭐ Extremely Disappointed

⭐ Extremely Disappointed, We Feel Our Plot Was Mis-sold We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Robertson Homes and feel that our plot was completely misrepresented to us. When we purchased our home, the plans showed beautiful landscaped areas to the side and behind our property. This was part of what attracted us to this particular plot. The reality couldn’t be more different. We have been left looking at an absolute eyesore of mud, overgrown weeds and unfinished land. The weeds are now growing through and over our fence and affecting our own garden. We have been raising this issue since March 2025 and have contacted Robertson on numerous occasions. During that time we have been given repeated assurances about what was going to happen, but nothing has materialised. What has made the situation even worse is that after more than a year of chasing for answers and a resolution, our complaints and emails are now simply being ignored. We bought our home based partly on the plans and surroundings that were presented to us. Had we been shown that the area beside and behind our home would be left looking like this, it would absolutely have affected our decision to purchase this plot. We have photographs, the original plans and a long trail of correspondence showing how many times we have tried to get this resolved. Buying a new-build home is a huge investment and we expected the finished development to reflect what we were shown when purchasing. Unfortunately, our experience has left us feeling extremely let down. We are now formally escalating our complaint and considering taking the matter to the New Homes Ombudsman if it continues to be ignored.

Extremely happy customers!

Just recently moved in to new Robertson development at Almondell, Calderwood. We could not have been happier with the whole process from start to finish and are absolutely delighted with our new home. Linda Cockburn the sales exec has been absolutely fantastic since the first interaction and site managers Greig and Stewart are the best of the best! Every morning our four year old is at he window looking for Stewart as he takes the time to interact with our son whenever he sees him, and always has a smile and joke. Anything we have asked of the site team has been actioned immediately, and they have been so proactive in getting our snagging issues sorted. The after care we have had across all departments is excellent. Couldn’t recommend Robertsons more based on our personal experience!

Premium house, budget quality build

While the homes themselves look attractive, our experience with Robertson Homes has been disappointing due to the number of issues we’ve encountered in a relatively short period of ownership. One of the toilets was incorrectly installed, with a fixing nut fitted the wrong way round. This caused a slow leak that went unnoticed and eventually damaged the flooring in two rooms. Robertson Homes declined to contribute towards the repairs because the issue was discovered outside the two-year warranty period, despite it being the result of an installation error. The integrated fridge was installed without adequate ventilation, which led to the appliance failing and needing to be replaced within four years. We also paid for the garden to be fully turfed, but it was left full of rocks and not prepared to an acceptable standard. After nearly two years of discussions and complaints, Robertson Homes eventually agreed to compensate us. For a builder that markets itself as a premium housebuilder and charges a premium price, the quality of workmanship and aftercare has fallen well below expectations. Based on our experience, prospective buyers should be prepared for the possibility of ongoing repair costs and significant effort in getting issues resolved. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Robertson Homes.

Don’t. Just don’t

The recent reviews are not to be ignored. You will do so at your peril. The homes are poorly constructed and dreadfully finished. Leaks abound. Paint splatter everywhere. Missing fixtures and fittings. And don’t expect them fixed or repaired. Snagging issues are expected in a new build. But Robertson, from site agents to complaints mangers (Lisa Riley), simply ignore you. Absolutely pathetic service.House builder of the year? Who in their right mind would vote for them?Don’t waste your time or money.=======10/10/2022 update: You'll note that Robertson responded. That is all about managing the negative reviews. The issues have not been fixed.=======23/3/2023 update: 6 months on and despite some work being done, I be had no contact sine mid-January. Customer care is a misnomer. They have no care for customers.

Ok…so after reading a lot of reviews and seeing signs in the windows of many residence on the development saying “Robertson’s fix our Homes” we were put off buying. We looked all around the North East and nothing ticked as many boxes as the Robertson’s Homes on Wynyard. We actually went to pay a deposit to both Story Homes and Bellway but neither had the wow factor or actually asked for the business. So, 9 months down the line we called back into the Robertson’s Homes sales office and spoke to Dawn. To my surprise, she remembered us, even down to the fine detail of our jobs and how many children we had. That was it, customer service at its finest, and a house that ticked 95% of the boxes! Within 5 weeks to the day, Dawn had helped, find a mortgage, part ex our house and we moved in. If it wasn’t for Dawn’s professionalism, determination and product knowledge, we would not be in here now. She is a true ambassador to the business who believes in the product she is selling. As for the snagging list, it was next to none. The little things I’ve had, they have jumped on to sort out. Yes, there are small snags like the odd bit of paint work that could be better etc but we’re all human and don’t get it right 100% of the time. Nothing that can’t be put right with a touch up pot.So far, everyone at Robertson’s could not have been more helpful, even down to the folk lift driver. Both site managers Mike and Dave have been excellent in getting things sorted. I honesty could not ask for more. They even took all our cardboard and rubbish away after unpacking boxes. Our experience so far has been second to none. So happy we ignored the noise and took the plunge.Spectacular service - thanks guys 😁

The whole process from our initial consultation with Diane in the show home to the final sign off with Stewart the site manager has been very smooth. We have not had any major snags with our new build and all the snags highlighted were dealt with in a timely manner. We are very happy with the interior finish of our new home and very pleased that that whole estate including the landscaping and external paving look great. Everything is as explained clearly to us throughout the process of buying a new home and we were given plenty of written information too.Highly recommend Robertson builders based on our experience in Glasgow.

We moved into our beautiful new home at Lionfields Lambton Park 6 weeks ago and I can’t fault the exceptional service we’ve had. It has been first class from everyone along the process, particularly Lloyd, Maxine & Steve. The extra mile they have taken has made the process memorable. Our moving in day we received a comprehensive walk through by Lloyd the site manager & Maxine, the sales executive. The welcoming gifts were a lovely touch too. The standard of build is exceptional, stylish and immaculate, any minor snags we’ve had has received immediate attention and specialist sent to the house to resolve the problem. I would highly recommend buying a house in this estate, you will not be disappointed. ***SERIOUSLY AVOID*** Bought a new build from Robertson Homes in July 2024. Within 6 months, storm damage caused roof tiles to fall off, same issue happened across multiple neighbouring properties on the same development. Robertson repaired it, and the same thing happened again twice after, this time causing damage to my car. Clear evidence shows it's a failing on Robertson's part as exact same section of roof, the subcontractor even agreed and admitted liability. Robertson market themselves as Scotland's best housebuilder and boast about customer satisfaction scores. My experience tells a very different story. If you are considering buying a Robertson home, make sure you document absolutely everything from day one, i would never buy a Robertson home again.

Pathetic after sales service

This review is aimed solely at the customer services, I have no complaints regarding the house and its purchase. Since moving in to this new build it has been a constant struggle to get a reply or make contact with customer services…let alone getting the issue resolved. I find their approach disappointing, rude and totally unprofessional. Please bear this in mind if you ever consider buying a new build from them., , , , , , , , , , -As you can see, Robertson Homes replied within 24 hours of my review, however what they have stated is false. Nobody has been in contact with me whatsoever concerning my recent emails complaining about their service
