GoogleA troublesome sale that was made so much easier to cope with by the amazing staff. They went over and above the call of duty. A very professional service from start to finish combined with a personal touch - excellent customer service.

GoogleJust completed on house purchase.
Waterfalls were great. Many people have a dim view of exactly what value estate agents add to the process. Well we can say Waterfalls has provided a much-needed human channel to an emotive process that can sometimes be easily disrupted by the rather dogmatic but necessary legal channel.

GoogleDespite a drawn out purchase due to issues with our sale the team at Waterfalls never stopped helping us and we managed to move into our dream home with their support. They are a very nice team, very down to earth and none of that annoying 'young estate agent flash' that people complain about. I can fully recommend them for their customer service and knowledge of the property market.

GoogleWe recently bought a house through Waterfalls. Having dealt with numerous estate agents during our search, I was immediately struck by a difference in the way Waterfalls operate. They are more professional and more personalised in their approach. They ensured that updates were shared amongst the team, so that whoever I spoke to, they knew our situation. They knew their properties well and got to know our needs, working hard to connect the two. Having found us a fantastic house, they then managed the process of negotiation and beyond very well. We wouldn't hesitate to sell our property through Waterfalls when the time eventually comes around.

FacebookPlease avoid this agency in any and every way possible. I have not had no hot water for three weeks now and they have failed to show any concern or immediate response to the situation. It took 3 weeks for an engineer to come out, only to spend a minute at my home promising the hot water will work, only to have lied. Nothing was fixed, changed or altered.
Every time me or my partner contact the agency it takes almost forever to get a straight answer or response from someone and calling the head office is even worse.
I have also had no doors throughout a 1 bedroom apartment for over 6 months and although I have asked about this situation, I have been ignored several times; even during winter when a draft had run throughout my home. (needless to state the lack or security, warmness and safety this has caused for me and my family.)
For the agency fees, deposits and rent private properties demand, the service is ridiculous and had ruined my first home experience. They show no care for you, your children or lifestyle.
Stay clear of this company.

FacebookBy far the worst letting agent I have ever dealt with. When they first registered me for a gas bill, which was included in the rent, I still thought shit happens - then two month after the complaint I get a water bill. Toom the landlord and me weeks to sort all of it out, as Townends either had no idea or was plain unhelpful. Just when we thought their mess was fixed they canceled my registration with council tax (which was not included) and it took another three month to get things fixed! It does not help that no one ever replies to e-mails, the branch doesn't know what head-office is doing and the agents are outright rude. During my notice period all I asked for were 24h notice before a viewing (since Townends couldn't get the spare key to work for whatever reason) so that I could be there. They still kept calling in the afternoon for evening viewings and then acted all prissy when I told them I had already made plans.
Moving out was no better, which the inventory lady rude enough to arrive 15 minutes late and then not even rang the doorbell, but tried to get in with the spare key by herself although she knew I should be there. What the...? And a few hours later the agent tells me to arrange another viewing, because clearly no one talks to each other and/or people just forget when the checkouts are scheduled. Either way I as glad to be out of this place, which is a shame because the apartment and the andlords were lovely and deserved better.
Needless to say I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned. So if any of the perople at Townends reads this - which I doubt - please contact me as I want to have it back and close this awful chapter asap.

FacebookTownends Estate Agent - Streatham Branch, has just been, to say the list, unprofessional. We had our flat listed with them for 2 months and they only produce very few viewings. After that we decided to serve them the contractual noticed of 2 weeks, which ended yesterday 22/07/16. However, during the notice period they, without our agreement, reduced the asking price. Also, still showing our property on the internet. Phone calls to the office have proved irritating to say the least. I ask for the manager and he is never there. I leave messages and he never returns the calls. Emailed yesterday complaining and no reply. What are they playing at?

FacebookIf there was a below 0 available then that would be too nice, communication is POOR, they won't report any maintenance issues even if it's health & safety and leave your child to suffer. Absolutely disgusted to be treated like this as a customer and will definitely not be returning to your company ever!

FacebookHave been living with loose dangerous tiles in my bathroom for nearly 6 months now and very little has been done or followed up about this situation. This company is the worst letting agent I have ever had the misfortune to rent through in London. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced, because there is none.

FacebookWould give zero stars if I could, terribly incompetent bunch of agents, total disasters from start to finish of our tenancy as five weeks after checkout we're still waiting for deposit. We rented a mouldy ground floor flat through them for 2 years and all we got told was to open the windows more.... Got ignored for days with any maintenance matter, whether the boiler was broken or toilet leaking, they couldn't care less. Nightmare, never ever again, would rather live in a tent!

FacebookDO NOT TRUST THESE COWBOYS. Despite agreeing a move out date for my flat with the landlord and Townends, after I moved out, Townends had failed to secure a new tenant (after informing me they had found one). After returning the keys to them I was left with an empty flat THAT I COULD NOT ACCESS and that I was still paying rent on. Do not trust Townends if you value your sanity. 1 star because I can't give them 0. Shocking.

FacebookAs communicated by people on this forum, I cannot believe the degree of unprofessionalism displayed by the company and their agents. They have properties for which they take people's money (but they will still show up on their website and rightmove) and then cite legal loopholes to get out of the mess they put their clients through. It is one thing to be 'legally right' and a completely different thing to be 'morally upright'; the latter, I don't think the company has heard of. Hopefully this review and what several others have posted here will help prevent other people from falling prey to them.

FacebookI was a client/tenant of Townends for roughly a 9 month period after coming from an abroad location. I was treated fairly and adequately up to the point where I was moved into the property and started paying my rent. What one worker would say would be contradicted by another. My example is this, when moving into our property there was a damaged window. Nothing major, but something that would need to be taken care of. Our letting agent said that on our contract that we should not put a date as it would constrict the landlord, so we agreed. After 4 months of no contact from the landlord (whom we've never spoken to), we had to push Townends to get the job done. When speaking with one of the repair agents (sorry I don't know everyone's title), they asked me why I didn't put a time-sensitive clause on the repair, like it was my fault. I was just annoyed by the whole process and felt like I wasn't being respected as an equal. I don't know if this is the reality for every letting agent, but if I were to ever return to the UK I would not really care to work with Townends. I give a 'poor' rating because I do not believe I was treated 'fair'.

FacebookIt is surprising that this company is still in existence. From all of the negative feedback and poor reviews online, it only further took personal experience to realise how absurd, ridiculous, and unprofessional this company really is. After dealing with 5 different people and sending several emails to both the Egham office and main office accounting the issues we have had nearly EVERY DAY for two weeks, we have gotten ZERO written confirmation of anything. Specifically, we have been dealing with new tenants moving into a property we have paid for. We told Townends a specific date we would move out, and instead a new date was already assumed and confirmed by them without us knowing. Additionally, a move in date has already been confirmed with the NEW tenants, which we were never told of either until after it had been confirmed. However, it was even more shocking that the landlord did not know of this confirmed move in date either!
To date, this issue has not been resolved. If it wasn't for the forced rating of "1 star" I would have put "0" or negative if I could. If word-of-mouth proves influential in a companies reputation, I hope it would be this one. A word of advice? Improve your communication. It appears a lot of individual work at Townends (we know, we have talked to a different one every time we call!), so focusing on getting them to talk to one another would be a good start.
