GoogleAfter a bad experience with the estate agents on his first rental property in Pembrokeshire, we were pleasantly surprised with the excellent service from red key property services when our son moved to Newport. Due to covid-19 he moved in without seeing the flat, but it was as described, and the whole process was handled very smoothly. GoogleI moved into a property last week and had a terrible situation which meant the property needed to be vacated. No fault of anyone. Red Key have been amazing, and put me up in a hotel from day 1 and gave me a week here to decide what option I wanted to proceed with. Within 2 days it has been arranged that I will be moving to another property they have as soon as its available (this was my choice) as the initial property will not be ready for a few months. in the meantime, accommodation has been arranged which i'm more than happy with. couldn't have asked for better service in this very unfortunate situation.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleMAJOR RED FLAGS Yesterday, (Thursday, 27th May) we have viewed a 2-bedroom flat at 7 Glen Avon House, Newport City Centre. The viewing was hosted by Harriet. She wasn't wearing a mask, and didn`t tell us the reason why. We would understand if she`d been vaccinated and immune, but at least she should have informed us. The same way she didn't give us a reason why she turned up late. The previous tenant was at the property, and the way Harriet treated him was alarming and inhumane, so bad, we were considering to leave at one point. We got to the top floor of the building, she firmly knocked on the door, and my boyfriend and I didn't comprehend why the previous tenant was still there, and why we were invading his privacy. After about three minutes of invasive knocking and shouting inside, Harriet took her keys out and started opening the locks without the tenant's consent. He ran to the front door to ask for more time, as he must have slept in. Harriet just said "didn't you know we were coming"? We do understand that most of this might have been the previous tenant's fault, and that he in fact was informed about us coming, but it still came across extremely invasive, as he was literally sitting on his bed while we viewed the property. We have obviously decided not to risk renting a flat with Red Key, and the other reason is all the one star reviews online, dozens of them warning us that Red Key takes the deposit as fake cleaning fees, or doesn't attend to a property when a tenant is in dire need of help. The way Harriet treated us and that guy, and what the negative reviews say is alarmingly unprofessional. The flat was incredibly dirty, which was a problem that the previous tenant caused, but for some reason all the negative reviews also mention dirty, faulty flats with this agency. It was also a major red flag how immediately upon leaving the property, my partner and I were first enthusiastic and contacted the agency about proceeding with renting the place, yet following several phone-calls and emails they haven't gotten back to us for hours - only once we had literally written to them how much money we have in our savings. All in all, we will make sure to let future landlords and tenants know not to choose Red Key, and we're writing in hope that maybe this behaviour does not represent the owner or the company.

GoogleLiterally took all of our deposit money for fake cleaning charges. We are very house proud and clean tenants and feel from the other reviews on here we have been scammed. We are very disappointed and feel really let down by them. Not great.

Sorry, we’re couldn’t locate any previous tenants with this name. We’re unable to unilaterally retain deposit monies if the tenant disagrees as there is an alternative dispute resolution process through the TDS.

GoogleIf you call them regarding a problem they will tell you that the person you need to speak to is busy and will call you back in 15 minutes. They will not. I have literally heard the same rubbish 10 times over 2 years and never once had a call back.

GoogleProfessional and efficient. From a tenant's point of view letting agents can be notoriously difficult to work with but Red Key Properties offer a professional service throughout the whole process. If you're in the South Wales area I strong recommend using Red Key

GoogleI did not like their service at all! I was into all sorts of trouble after I checked into the property starting from roof leakage to bath tub leakage to kitchen issue etc. etc. Unfortunately Redkey was never quick to respond! The real issue started when I told them that I was going to vacate the property as I was getting transferred to another place. This is when they started showing their true colour! First they took £300 for advertising the property and then informed the council that I was in the property for another two months after I vacated(which was a complete lie) and hence made me pay council tax for the unoccupied period. Now they don't want me to get back my advance(TDS) of £750 by showing hefty cleaning charges, maintenance charges!! This is really too much!!! This is looks like a very good lobby between landlord and this agency to loot and harass tenants...so be careful.

GoogleRed Key Property Services provide an amazing service and having bought and sold many properties and used many estate agents, I can say that Red Key are one of the best that I have used and certainly the best in South Wales. They provide a comprehensive service from initial valuation through to completion at competitive rates. The marketing process on my recent sale resulted in an asking price offer at first viewing in what was a slow market. Their follow up after an offer is accepted is excellent. Regular communication between buyer and both sides solicitors ensured a speedy completion in just 8 weeks on the last property they sold for me, despite some complications that came up. Other properties have completed in as little as 6 weeks. This role estate agents play in liaising between all parties during the sale process is all too often overlooked but is crucial to pushing the process along. Red Key prioritise this and in doing so are way ahead of the competition. I can thoroughly recommend using Red Key having sold four properties using their services and will continue to use them in the future.
