GoogleExtremely disappointed in the aftercare from places of people after purchasing our new home. We are not able to operate our gate using the intercom which goes against what it is designed to do. The gate does not meet fire safety regulations and we were not given a key for this which means that we are only able to exit our main entrance onto our street and not able to re-enter at our main address. The customer care team make out that they are doing everything they can but in reality just blame the factors which are actually the same company. Conor and Carmela in the sales team were fantastic during the purchase but we are extremely disappointed with the aftercare.

GoogleCurrently trying to understand what feels like being ripped off for communal heating and water (vs equivalent residential rates), taken the issue to local MP, Tracy Gilbert, held meeting to discuss (unfortunately Places for People declined the invite). Very opaque pricing structure.

TrustpilotThey fixed my boiler and cleaned up the mess
They finally fixed my boiler after several visits and a new boiler. The fault was with the new boiler and not the engineer who came out . One of the pipes had not been screwed up tight so it was leaking. The engineer soon had the leak under control and cleaned up the mess.

Utter incompetence The gas check took from July to December to complete despite me informing PFP every year that the building can’t read and the gas check needs to know we are on a shared boiler. I’ve lived here 12 yrs and every year it’s the same ….. waste of money on call outs and appointments

I assume that this is to do with the repairs to our central heating boiler. Generally, the engineers were great but the booking was a total disaster, with engineers not coming when we were told they would, and coming when they were not supposed to, with us being out! Complete mess and hardly instils confidence in the system. Time to sort it!!!

AND STILL THE LIES ON REPAIRS CONTINUE 7 TIMES FOR A GUTTER TO BE CLEARED,NOW POSTPONED A 7TH TIME TILL MARCH.PFP DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ITS TENANTS.I WAS PROMISED BY THE ESCALATION TEAM IT WOULD BE DONE DEC 12TH KELLY STREET YOU HAVE LIEDkelly street pfp ESCALATION OFFICER "call -- 07385489828 a simple clear gutter job and as usual pfp ---- it up.I trusted you kelly.you are no better than the others.LIARS.......do you get a reward everytime you talk BSKELLY STREET,now again trying to get me evicted plus im to pay for the overflowing gutter when in the tenancy it states the landlord must.but hey its pfp they lie and change dates to suit them.more so kelly streethad to get a private contractor just to do thegutter.am seeking to take legal action against pfp

The gentleman who repaired my boiler, Kulwinder, travelled for over 2 hours to attend my repair, he was kind, knowledgeable and efficient. A credit to PFP. He also had to travel another 2hours to get home. A true gentleman.

I cannot say how frustrated I am with trying to resolve a double payment being taken without consent So far I have 3 times talked to people face to face 4 times E-mailed2 times spoken to companies that are supposed to handle payments 3 times had phone calls and the problem is still ongoing For some reason I have had a payment taken from a Places leisure in Camberley a place I have never been to, I have spoken on two occasions to three people in Spelthorne where I joined and they have continually said I should go to Camberley 20 miles away and sort it out, I have said I joined there at Spelthorne it is something they have done in setting up my new membership, they have repeatedly denied responsibility and indicated its not their problem, I have tried to escalate it I have had a number of calls, some with people trying to help some with; I need to contact Camberley, they just pass it from person to person, none of them really care to find a solution. I am disgusted with the lack of interest and the continually passing the buck, the whole company looks like a shambles, I have tried to sort it out myself and contacted the membership phone number on their website. It is the number of a third party company that no longer deals with them. My last email was from a different company again that they had passed the buck to, guess what !! They do not deal with my payment either, Spelthorne might have a nice new modern leisure centre but anything apart from the basic operation they are totally useless. I was always taught in my job if I didn't know the answer to a problem the answer should be "I will find out Sir" not sort it out your selfI have serious concerns what value for money this company will bring to Spelthorne if they can’t even do the basic things Meanwhile I will send another pointless email and wait to see if I am going to get charged twice next month as, I am wondering if I got signed up twice

Have been with places for people for nearly 5 years now and have had good service from them.Repairs especially emergency ones have been dealt with swiftly. The only area they could improve is letting customers know who their place manager is and how to contact them.

Absolute liar of a customer service agent for pfp bare faced lying over the phone to me about an initial phone call I had with him this morning. I am sat in my flat that stinks of raw sewage coming from my drains.Very Suseptable to infection due to my health conditions. This better be sorted by tomorrow. I have now been told that I don't have to be in because they need to access the outside drains by my property. If I come home tomorrow and I still smell sewage coming from my sink I am going to my MP and the press. Please don't bother to respond to this with an email asking meto respond to you by email. Just fix the drains and do your job as my landlord Thankyou im at lockbridge way milnsbridge Huddersfield

Discusting . Lies deceitful dishonest disrespectful company. I’m not a tenant of places for people but I have an upstairs neighbour who for the past 2 years has a continuous leak from there soil stack the company has been out meany times and claims they have fixed the leak. It might have now finally been fixed but now refuses to fix the damage to my property. Now I need to clam my insurance costing me my excess £350 and not to mention my premium will go up . I am a resident of spinnaker view in Gosport and I have to say that my flat is lovely but the extortionate amount we have to pay plus we have to pay on top of that for food that is inedible but we have to pay because it's in our contract.I have been treated unfairly and accused of numerous things here that were places for people's fault and I was lied to but I was blamed for things.Living here is a living hell and I am trying to get out of here because it is severely affecting my mental health and no one cares.I would recommend that you stay clear of the company places for people as all they care about is the money but will take no responsibility for anything.STAY CLEAR.I responded to email address and received nothing back so shows how much they care useless as I said before..STAY WELL CLEAR

Peoples places has exceeded all expectations of creating beautiful home. The entire process has been smooth and very well organised. I want to pay particular thanks to Charlotte Shannon-Knowles who has taken time to give her expertise through out the whole process to guide me through to completion.
