When buying the house from Places for People during the process there was nothing I could complain about until we signed all paperwork and funds were transferred and sale finished. My pleasant experience of buying our first house did not last long .When we reported defects as instructed by PFP. Despite number of phone calls I made and emailing to customer care in Edinburgh . Unfortunately I still have no answers.Customer service keeps ignoring my emails and not answering calls .

I wrote a review on here a fair few months ago listing all the issues I've had over the 4 years I have been with Places for People. I got an automated reply on the review, followed the process it explained for me to talk further with someone about it and have heard nothing since. It wasn't a suprise though as I have been ignored or fobbed off since day 1 via multiple managers and employees of Places for People. Please, if you can help it do not go with these as a housing association as my mental health has rocketed into the ground due to their lack of everything.

Our boiler broke on the 7th June and we discovered there was a leak in the pipes, due to this places for people came out to do an asbestos inspection as they had to pull up the floorboards to get to the leak, the man who came was lovely and informed us the result is usually relatively quick to come through. Despite this, weeks later we are ringing derwent living every 2/3 days as we still havent heard anything then to be informed that they have the result but will not tell derwent what the result is.. expecting us to live even longer without a boiler, with a 2 year old child. This means no hot water and no heating. As said earlier the person who came out was lovely but I am really not happy with the company as there has been no communication at all, and we have had to call to not even get an answer back about when further work is being done or even the result of the check itself
