I have so far been impressed with the service I have received from Places For People, being in the letting industry myself I was pleased with how they kept in contact with me throughout the process I was very happy when I went to view my new home and collected the keys. I have now been in my new home for 2 weeks and I absolutely love it, I was pleasantly surprised by how little I need to do to my new home. I also wanted to say a huge thank you to Zoran Greb who I initially dealt with and then Nicola Martland who finalised everything for me you have both been amazing. Laura

If there was a option for 0 it…

If there was a option for 0 it definitely would have been ticked! Was a deliberate fire that caused damage to my fence to which my back garden is open to a field where general public attend everyday. I rang pfp to be told that it’s a 6month wait, I threatened to with hold my rent and they had someone out within 2 hours. He said he was unable to fix it as he sent pictures to them and deemed it not a emergency. When I called them back they came up with the excuse ‘covid hit so no one is making fence panels’ are they having a joke ?. They put the rent up and charge for anything they like but when it comes to duty of care it’s a shambles. Waiting for the complaints team ringing me and try get this resolved . I feel unsafe and they don’t seem to take that into consideration. Cannot wait to be out of one of their pathetic houses that has drafts entering all windows , the boiler is older than my Nan and doesn’t heat the water . One word for them shocking.

Absolute joke

Absolute joke. Would have given 0 stars if that was possible. The only thing they do quickly and efficiently is put their charges up. They don't answer their phones or respond to enquiries. The upkeep of their properties is non-existent and even worse now they have the superpower of an excuse that is Covid. Due to Covid we can't ..... (you can fill in the rest). Their contractors wander around doing nothing and walk straight past dangerous hazards without reporting or fixing these. If you get the chance to live anywhere associated to this group of companies, DON'T!! You will thank me in the long run.

I have rated a 5 star because of the recent email of support I got with struggling with my rent, not sure about last year's support it was good, but not as great as this year, many thanks for how my concern for struggling to meet the rent and just how much understanding was took so seriously, the mention of a paydown plan was very reassuring, my arrears are plenty, but recieved support on my honesty and reaching out for help. Thank you Gaynor Burton at places for people.

i dont live in a Places for People …

i dont live in a Places for People property,but my home is beside a sheltered accommodation belonging to them,and has been empty for around 4 years.Anyway i rang PFP 2 years ago to tell them that the trees and bushes which were so overgrown was pushing my fence down...After many many phone calls and after a year there eventully came to have a look.Mind the trees and bushes were cut down but it was to late my fence was bent right over..there even left all the branches for me to get rid of..With the strong winds we have had the fence did fall down,but this wouldent have happened if PFP had come out when i first rang. someone did say it was fine when there came to cut the trees, that was a bare faced lie.I now have no fence around my home..i work in care and many shifts are finishing at 11 at night its quite scary coming home when its dark not knowing if somone could be in my garden using it as a short cut ..I have rang PFP every week for months and all i get told is we are looking into this..after 2 years how much looking in do there need..Im given up now and going to have to get it fixed myself.I wouldent rate PFP at all..

They have several companies all registered underneath them who manage buildings on their behalf. Its a constant cat and mouse game trying to find out who is responsible for damages or lack of maintanence. Avoid them and their subcontractors, e.g the residential management group ltd.If you see that dreaded P logo on a van, speed out of there immediately.

WAKE UP PLACES FOR PEOPLE- PROVIDE A SERVICE

Communication with elderly tenants who do not have access to emails/websites etc is, to be polite, pathetic.Trying to get through by phone, even before COVID, would guarantee great frustration and hours wasted trying to get someone to talk to. Response to repair requests are very slow and end results are often very unsatisfactoryLatest attempts re telecare equipment have again been a case in point. Due to lack of response we have been forced to get service provision from elsewhere but places for people still expect to be paid for equipment we don't wantRegardsSteve Dobson on behalf of my fatherI received a reply that says they are sorry and to send complaint to some electronic addressThey are missing the whole point My elderlyfather and many other tenants like him do not do electronic communication. Disgraceful outrage of a company

Disgraceful outrage of a company. Got a bunch of tradesmen and supervisors running around clueless. Just took them on a 2and disrapair case. Cause that's all they good at. Letting their properties fall in to disrapair. Had to refer them to my MP for the 2and time as well. Cant be trusted as bent as a dogs back leg.

If people had any other options for…

If people had any other options for some where to live they would have no tenants at all. They don't do any repairs what so ever and leve you with 70s kitchen that is falling apart. I'm not the one to moan but with gas and electric bills going up I can't afford to keep my property warm with old wooden window and doors that have single glazing in with 10mm gaps of daylight showing through. On their repair list I am liable and should replace the draught excluders myself at my cost and time. Well I've done this already and the gaps are too big. They are just take take and no giving back to the tenants

Useless company

They don’t reply at all. I’ve been trying to email them for weeks and weeks to sort out the key handling process and they haven’t replied. So now I will be charged a fee for key replacement. I have emailed every single of their emails that i could find online. Useless people useless company There must be like 1 person on customer service or something that they can’t even give me a quick email back They’re always charging random charges as well DisgustingStay away

I am writing to say thank you to Andrew , I had just excepted one of pfp bungalows . but had no money for carpets , my daughter bought me the living room carpet and Andrew applied to some charity for me ..He managed to get me the money for two bedroom carpets . I am very grateful for his help and for the housing association there are not many who would offer this help . mind you, it's a shame they are not that good at repairs . Inconsiderate bunch of morons

This bunch have had workmen in one of their properties for two weeks - which has been two weeks of hell for the neighbours. Inconsiderate does not cover it! Noise, shouting, singing thinking they are entitled to do what they like and invasion of human rights and private property.

Never rent from PFP

I absolutely hate my home now. Been here 21 years,the last 5 and half years have been dreadful. 5 years with drug dealers,in fear for my life,no sleep,was on the verge of a nervous break down and yet PFP just ignored me for year's. Finally after my hard work and my own expense at installing security camera and ring door bells to my home I had enough evidence to prove I wasn't lying and the tenants upstairs moved out before they could be evicted. 2 months of peace and very slowly pieceing my life back together and PFP move a family of 5 over the top of me...drug smoking,abusive,dirty family.The flat above is like a youth club,3 young children under the age of 5,teenage mother and abusive older boyfriend,every family member they have,children from his first wife,you get the picture. The music is pumping all day,they are noise all day,they are in amd out all day. My day's off are ruined again,yet again I have to sleep away from home at weekends and now I have to sit in my bedroom every night I'm home just so as I can hear my TV. My flat smells of weed permanently,there is no let up of the noise or abuse. Actually video and noise evidence as been shown of all of this and yet PFP have done nothing to help. I'm on the edge again of a nervous breakdown. So please if you are a single person never never rent from this Company. They don't give a monkey's about single hard working people. Got kids and on the dole your fine.Their team member's repeat your conversations you have with them to other tenant's,they don't bother to read the case notes before the let their property's. In a word they don't care as long as you pay your rent. 5 years and counting of my life ruined,all my hard work to make my home and garden lovely and happy ruined. Year's of sleep I'll never get back,day's off and evening's ruined. Year's of having to sleep out Thursday to Sunday. Not being able to spend holidays from work atmy own home. Not being able to have my family round because I'm to embarrassed of who lives above me and don't want my family to witness or smell the banging and weed. I've even had abuse from the neighbour's either side of me because they are as fed up as I am with PFPs attitude to this situation and yet PFP have done nothing on this being reported. You are a disgrace as a housing association.
