Strongly to advice anyone who wants to rent off places for people, please stay away, i have been racially abused and have disabilities and places for people dont care one bit and they stick up for a tenant who just moved in and caused nothing but antisocial behaviour and hate crime againt us, it's a totally disgusting housing association. I would never touch another property from them again.

Repairs line operators are kind and understanding

I have so many problems firstly getting through to report my repairs takes sometimes over an hour. But I find when I do speak to anyone they are so polite helpful and kind.Recently I spoke to a lady called Lucy and another lady called Aimee Mc Donald. They were both very helpful and they genuinely emphasized with all my problems with gas people and repairs.I think the problem lies with the repair people and the nice kind people at the end of that repairs line get all the frustration and anger which is not their fault

Ignoring complaints!

Now when I raise a complaint they lie and say they’ve spoke to my wife but they never called! Also impossible as she’s changed her number and the only number they have is my new one! Ridiculous company and I am going to the ombudsman service. Proves they don’t care as this is the second review I have left and no comment or response. Shocking!

More of a SLUM landlord than social landlord!!!

Had raw sewage coming up drain, their call centre were noncommittal about treating it as an emergency so offered to send photos. Sent photos and heard nothing, it was a hot day and couldn't have doors or windows open for smell so at tea time I cleared it myself! The next day it was worse so I cleared it again, a really awful job and I called their emergency line and complained and they said they'd send someone. At tea time a builder arrived with a rubber ring on the end of a stick and he took one look at the faeces around the grate and said why have they sent me you need the sewage contractor! He organised it for the next day and on Sunday morning the sewage people came and discovered the manhole in my neighbours garden was blocked and been forced back into my drain.....he was shocked that P4P didn't call them on the Friday.Within a week I'd developed a cough that turned into a chest infection, I've had a chronic cough for over 4 months now and my GP believes it to be a consequence of clearing up the sewage off my garden.Last week I completed the sale of a flat and moved out of the P4P property as I'll never again be beholden to their woeful property maintenance team....everything seems to take 6 to 8 weeks! If you can possibly do without moving into one of their properties do yourself a favour and keep well away because in my experience they are more of a SLUM landlord than social landlord!!!!!!

Abusive unfair and unjust

Had homophobic and transphobic abuse for the 2 years i lived there enough to make me want to unalive myself; yet places for people didnt see it as a hate crime . Blamed me for wster lesking in communal light said my dog had peed enough to fill the light fitting which is ridiculous as she wouod of had to peedfor days on end and be the size of elephant . The workmen even said the water was from the back wall of my bath havi g loose tiles and the water going down behind yet i didnt get it fixed told to be mote careful depite the workmen insisting it needed fixing. Being constantly misgenderedred depite in the beginning them getting it right and trying to correct the transphobic neighbours put soon easily persuaded by the neighbours i was a she and not a he even though i had constantly corrected them and my sister did and my partner at the time and even my now late mother . Took my neighbours complaint anything from death threats to pulling the fire alarms when i wasnt near the box i wouod of had to smash it not pull anything when the neighbour in question is an ex con been in prison for violence. Oh and get this being made to pay rent arrears for two months rent when i was suposed to move in march 2020 when the lockdown was enforced and only managing to get a van in may when no lockdown insisted thst because i moved in may when the lockdown wasnt that i still owed the 2 months rent not mg fault i couldnt get a moving van and housing benefit stopped paying them was told though it was ok as we were in lockdown and been reasured by citezens advice and shelter that i wouldnt have any arrears to pay because all rent was on hold because of the situation and uo to that point i had mh rent paid on time in fact im pretty sure i was ahead. I had to set up a payment plan as i was so anxious buf ceased after being told i shouldnt have to and now after nearky 2 years of me ceasing they decide to hassle me putting me into a false sense of security thinking that they reakise their mistake because mh support worker told them i shouodnt pay it and they were luke thats fine so they lied. So through negligence and mental anguish and the ordeal i could as i have the legal right to do so take them to court for hate crimes and harrasment and i wo t be taken this review down like i did the last one again after they asked me not to leave a negative review. So yet again being bullied just because they dont lime what the truth is

I have been trying to buy a leasehold…

I have been trying to buy a leasehold property for five months and have heard that PFP are a nightmare to deal with regarding the leasehold paperwork etc. I have been deeply depressed with the way things are going. Two days ago I looked on TrustPilot and saw the e.mail PFP give out to try and help their clients. I was amazed to get a very professional and friendly reply today. PFP had already looked into the matter and had been trying to contact me and obtain paperwork via solicitors, with no luck. It's a shocking situation, and it sounds like nothing is PFP's fault. I look forward to getting things moving. This relates to PFP Property Sales.

I wrote a review in June 2023 regarding…

I wrote a review in June 2023 regarding anti social behaviour, noise and flooding from an upstairs neighbour. Places for people advised me to keep diaries of these events which I duly did along with a signed petition from 13 other residents which was sent to Places for people. During the intervening time period the anti social behaviour continued unabated with the police being called several times, culminating on the 15/09/2023 with the police armed response unit visiting the property and removing two suspects including the tenant. On the 18/09/2023 I received a letter from Places for People stating the complaint of anti social behaviour was case closed, they do not respond to my communications and ignore all text's etc. I have now approached the council and my local MP who responded very quickly and is now investigating my case. Places for People have acted with extreme incompetence and ineptitude as this tenant was a known problem long before I moved into the property

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service! Supposed to be getting a new kitchen fitted as mine is beyond repair. Reported in April. Was supposed to be fixed in July, emptied kitchen out and booked day off work, only for them to show up saying no parts were ordered! Had it rebooked for today, again booked a day off work and emptied kitchen, text message saying rebooked for December, parts unavailable! Lost so many wages now and fed up.

My email has been blocked so that I cannot complain about ASB

ASB suffered since 2021. PFP do nothing except issue "final" warning after "final" warning. They then bully me by telling me that if I complain again then an injunction will be taken out on me and that it is me that will get into trouble for harassment. I report there behaviour and lack of action to the Housing ombudsman and then wait patiently for them to investigate. In the meantime Dave is still shouting and swearing as he has arguments with himself that are audiable in my garden, inside my flat even with the TV on.He also follows me outside still. If I have work and have to leave at 6.37am he ensures that he is also outside walking around aimlessly to intimidate me. If I am out his washing machine is off. If I am in its on continously until I either go to bed or leave the flat. Whenever I go into my garden he finds a reason to come outside too. If I am having a lie in he will go into the cupboard in the hallway that is underneath my bedroom and hammer. He is deliberately tormenting me.I can't go inside and have peace because all I hear is a washing machine or shouting. If I go into my garden all I hear is him shouting and swearing. It's been constant for 2 and a half years. I contact PFP this week because I am fed up of having to ignore this behaviour and them do nothing about it. I have been told I am only allowed to contact the tenanfynenforcement officer. So i do. I am ignored. At my wits end I therefore contact two other people in the business that have previously been aware of daves behaviour1. Andy lomas 2. Jemma RobertsI send my email to find that both have blocked my email address. I therefore send the same emails from my work address and they go through. I have five to send one that summarises things and four with video footage. The first two get sent and then I am blocked again and the last three failed.Throughout my entire complaint re ASB they have tried to fob me off and dismiss it. I have been passed from person to person as no one wants to take responsibility. Then when Andy claims that he will sort things once and for all, I am still not listened to. Boxes are ticked but what is needed to obtain evidence isn't conducted.Dave is very clever. Whenever he is issued with his final.warning he goes quiet for two weeks knowing full well eyes are on him. It is during that time and that time only that PFP try and obtain evidence. He denies he is doing anything and they clearly believe him otherwise they wouldn't have blocked my email and prevented me from being able to complain about him going forward. His stalking can be proven by placing a camera directly infront of both our doors. His shouting can be proven with noise recording equipment. His washing machine torment is proven because the neighbour next door can hear it too and I have text messages from the last 10 days that confirm he can hear the washing machine too. His utility bills would also prove that I am telling the truth. Since 9 June he has had it on every single day for most of the day, evening and into the night. I am a good tenant and I do not deserve to live like this. It is unacceptable that this is how PFP treat genuine victims of ASB. He is mentally destroying me and all I have ever asked for since day one is real help to make it stop.

The sloppiest organisation I have ever…

The sloppiest organisation I have ever encountered. I am a leaseholder. They never bother responding to questions, promise call backs but never do, screw up simple service charge calculations, of course in their favor, take years to correct it if they bother correcting it. Building is mismanaged, things take ages to get fixed and when they do fix them, they break instantly again. Front door mechanism breaks weekly, and they have not realized after years that the best way forward would be to change the mechanism instead of spending leaseholder money on fixing weekly a bad system. Stay away at all cost if you can.

Horrible company

Horrible company. 0 customer service. Impossible communication. No details provided to buyers. Rude. Refund is currently taking almost a month to process. When they needed a reservation fee paid the demand was immediately! No answers to very significant questions such as what is allowed what is not allowed in terms of renovations. No clear guidance or rules on rent on remaining share. No specification provided before reservation or even after, including after several requests and begging… No measurements of rooms/walls etc. absolutely humiliating approach by the builders office and no communication. Make you feel like scam for being an Affordable property buyer! Do not recommend! Xenophobic and hateful. Discrimination on another level. If you are a single parent and from an international background do not approach this company.

Just a heads up please make sure you…

Just a heads up please make sure you have home insurance. My mums home was ruined by a flood from the loft. And Places for Peoples insurance company basically said it was my 90 year old mother's fault, for not turning off her mains water tap before leaving for a couple of weeks and that she didn't notice any water dripping. I visited ever week while my mum was in a respite to see if she would stay due to he dementia and no water dripping down. Then in a matter of a week the whole 4 ceilings collapsed and flood water came running out of the main door when I opened it. PFP didn't even give a small amount of compensation to my mum for what furniture etc that was in the bungalow which was left because we couldn't move it all in the first week after giving them notification of mums move into a Care home. And unfortunately mum had cancelled her home insurance I think due to her dementia and not understanding what it was for. So please all of PFP residents get and keep your home insurance going just incase anything like this happens to you. My poor mum lost any help from them. Thank goodness she is now in a place that cares, PFP don't care.
