Hi Phelim, thanks for your kind review. We had to arrange for roof repairs to be carried out after your survey and you had to get a new mortgage offer. With your help and patience (of both you and the vendor) we managed to agree a deal with you and the vendor and finally get this over the line with elbow grease. I hope all is great with the property and wish you all the best for the future. Thanks again, David (Director) and the NatRes team

BE WARE that all positive reviews are written by themselves within 2days and are FAKE. Read the negative ones and avoid dragging yourself into a mess.

Marshmallow Β· 12 June 2023 Β· National Residential Chester

Agent replied Β· 11 June 2024

All our reviews are written by buyers and sellers of our properties and are matched to specific property sales on our website - see link: https://national-residential.co.uk/testimonials/ - and this provides complete transparancy and authentication for all our reviews. We have been in business since 2006 and have sold over 4000 houses and are fully regulated. Thanks David (Director)

Very disappointed. Had booked a viewing for the property. Was driving 50 miles there and 50 miles back only to find out that the property is being sold with the tenant and can't be seen.. Does the agency know what do it sell? Would not waste my time again!!!

Alina Β· 12 June 2023 Β· National Residential Chester

Agent replied Β· 11 June 2024

Hi Alina, thanks for your review and we take on your feedback. We specialise in helping landlords sell tenanted properties and as such over 90% of our property listings are tenanted. All our property sales can be viewed (we even pay tenanted to allow viewings unlike any other local agent) and all of them can be purchased with the tenant in situ or they can be purchased vacant. We always strive to find a w-in-win deal with tenant-landlord-purchaser and so long as we get an offer at the price the vendor can accept a deal can always be done. Notwithstanding this, if you had a wasted trip for any reason which was our responsibility, we would also offer to pay you Β£25 towards your petrol and travel costs, again unlike any other agent, so please contact us to discuss. Thanks, David (Director)

Very challenging from day 1. 1. Win Auction with final bid price - they force you to offer higher amount or you lose 2. Frequently call & contact you until pay them deposit of Β£2500 or 1% of property if higher than it 3. You will be forgotten for weeks if not months 4. Properties can be unfit for mortgage application 5. Countless accusation and misleading information by text, email for deposit loss 6. Irresponsible of their actions 8. Sometimes they recommend you people to cover their shady work Be careful when dealing your case.

Filippo Β· 12 June 2023 Β· National Residential Chester

Agent replied Β· 11 June 2024

Hi Fillippo, we sell properties for our vendors via a modern auction and buyers have to be the highest bidder and be chain free, and pay a deposit. This is the same with any auction. If you do not want t purchase through auction you don't have to. I would recommend you do not based on your feedback and should stick to local agents. Thanks, David

Rachel and all the team at Residential lettings were very friendly and helpful and always replied very quickly to any questions. I’d recommend them. I was a tenant and they made everything go smoothly. Thanks Nicki :)

Nicki Β· 12 June 2023 Β· National Residential Chester

Agent replied Β· 11 June 2024

Hi Nick,, thanks for your kind review. We do our best to sell tenanted properties with the tenant remaining in-situ but it is not always possible. We foremost have to get the price the vendor needs and when we do this, but the buyer needs vacant possession we will always help tenants financially and with our contacts to find another property to move into. We appreciate these times can be stressful and do what we can to help. Thanks for working with us and good luck. David (Director) and the NatRes team

I was a tenant in a property sold last year. Tom the manager colluded with our landlord to try and pressure us to leave the property by convincing us to have viewings of the property by people who wanted to live in the property. He thought that we would leave the property ourselves when we had every legal to remain. Even though forcing tenants out is illegal. Luckily we cottoned on to what tom and the landlord were up to and we cut off all communucation with national residential. Two weeks later Tom is forced to sell to another landlord as he would miss out on his commisssion. It says on their website they have lawyers who can convince tenants to leave. My advice to tenants is do not trust Tom and the rest at national residential. They will try to force you out to make a quick dollar. He would sell his own grandmother out to make a quick buck.

Yuppie Β· 12 June 2023 Β· National Residential Chester

Agent replied Β· 11 June 2024

Hi Yuppie, thanks for your review. Landlords approach us to sell their houses and there is no guarantee that other landlords will agree to pay the price they want or keep the tenant. We try our best but sometimes we must sell with vacant possession and in those circumstances, we help the tenant in every way possible including paying rent and deposit for a new property and home removal fees. I with you the best for the future. Thanks David (Director)

From the moment I contacted the team at National Residential they were with me all the way. We agreed a valuation, and as I do not live in the UK they took care of all viewings and access to the house. If I had any questions they were there to help and I cannot praise them highly enough. I would recommend National Residential to everyone.

Very poorly run business. From not returning calls, to just being rude for no good reason they really are everything you don’t want in an estate agent. Thinking it could not get much worse and still keen on the property I agreed on a purchase price pending a survey. I arranged for the survey to take place within a week of the offer, they gave the surveyor access to the property and within 48 hours I had the results and was happy to proceed… but wait for it the property was already sold at auction prior to the survey taking place they just failed to tell me or cancel the survey, actually they only told me when I asked where to pay the deposit to. Be very careful when considering parting with cash as maybe next time they might sell the property twice. Very unethical and all with the Directors knowledge. If you don’t have a choice but to deal with them speak to Tom as he is at least polite and diligent even if he is hung out to dry by the bosses. Ps it’s worth noting that they owned the property that they were selling and it wasn’t the seller pulling the strings but the Directors themselves

David Β· 12 June 2023 Β· National Residential Chester

Agent replied Β· 11 June 2024

Hi David - our job is to sell a vendors property through our auction. You did not offer the reserve price on this property by the end of our auction and instead you were going back and forth with Tom (sales manager) to try your luck to negotiate a better deal with the vendor. This went on for weeks after out auction had finished and by then the vendor decided 'enough was enough' and put the property in Pugh Auctions and you were made fully aware he had done this and you were advised of the date of the Pugh Auction in case you decided to make an offer acceptable to the seller and pay your deposit. You did not and the property then sold at Pugh Auction. Only after the property sold through Pugh did you come back with a higher offer and by then it was too late. You have since purchased a property belonging to myself located in Mold that I decided to sell through Pattinsons Auction and I notified you I was selling. I’m glad it worked out for you this time around. Thanks, David (Director)

Near impossible to get an initial viewing of the property and was eventually (after relentless phoning and promises (by the male receptionist) for calls to be returned but never were) was shown around by a lovely lady but who unfortunately couldn't answer a single question as she was a third party agent. Selling team not great at comms (potentially an under-staffing issue?) with me or with each other and I had to email often to ask for updates as they didn't come willingly. Abbie was the lifesaver who really came through at the end of the sale, so thank you Abbie (she needs a raise). David was quick to respond when the others didn't. Overall - A LOT of effort but a cheap house to be had if you don't mind paying the extortionate Β£6k fee and prompting most of the comms yourself.

Millie Β· 12 June 2023 Β· National Residential Chester

Agent replied Β· 11 June 2024

Hi Millie, thanks for your review. We use a company called Viewber to carry out all viewings nationwide as we are an online auction. We communicate with clients by SMS, email and WhatsApp. Usually, messages are replied to same day but apologies if we did not come up to the mark. In your case you wanted to buy the property vacant so we had to manage the tenant to leave and that created challenges which we eventually overcome. The buyer’s fee is not charged on all sales as we offer different price options to sellers. However, where we do charge buyer fees, buyers just factor this into the price they pay, and we will work as hard as possible to get properties completed and over the line and we were successful in your case. I wish you all the best with your new home. David and the team
