TrustpilotVery satisfied
This is the first time I’ve sold a house with national residential, this was very easy for me to do. They did all the running around and it was not an easy sale but they made it happen very quickly. I would recommend them to anyone who was thinking of selling a house.

TrustpilotReally happy
Really happy. Great communication, very helpful and polite. Purchase could have been quicker but hold up was due to vendor not NR. Extremely happy with NR (after prior terrible service from Countrywide) and would gladly work with them again. Cannot praise them highly enough and look forward to working with them again in the future.. Paul Charles

TrustpilotGood service with less stress …
Had great service from National Residential when selling property. When property sold for slightly higher than expected they gave us extra money than original quote. They dealt with most issues, so quite a smooth sell without too much stress.

TrustpilotTricked out of my deposit
Tricked out of my deposit. The sale process was prolonged by the estate agent and then they said because we are not able to complete by the end of 56 days, I will lose my deposit.

TrustpilotFake Auction Process - Stay Clear
They run there system like a auction with a end date & time with house well under priced to attract attention. The true story is that it is not infact a auction as they are constantly using different buyers bids as leverage to over inflate the price. After the end of the auction they are sending constant text messages to make people raise bids. The process is sold as auction but in fact in my opinion it is a scam! In any auction once the hammer goes down that is the end of the auction. They make you pay fees to secure the sale but infact behind the scenes they are still accepting bids Be careful ! I would stay well clear

GoogleTime waste! Spoke to NW London valuer, who estimated my property "100 % market value" i.e reserve price at 75%-80% of what my own in depth market research, supported by several local agents and based on previous sales in same development have shown. After suggesting I could sale my property at this price within 48 hours to various cash-buying schemes, Ben hang up on me with a "Good Luck". Same to Ben and whoever decides to use their services.
In response to National Residential:
Nothing wrong with "bad news" if they are true. I did sell my property, granted, it took longer than expected, due to a seasonal and "Post-Brexit" market slowdown (supported by constant monitoring of marketed/reduced in price/sold prices) way above your agents valuation. I have nothing against your model as long as it not based on misrepresentation and deception. If you offer to buy a property at 75% someone might be interested, but do not advertise to buy it @100% or eventually, you might be caught up by someone with in-depth knowledge of 1967 Misrepresentation Act.
Dmitriy · 13 June 2017 · National Residential Chester
Agent replied · 11 June 2024
Hi Dmitriy, we are sorry for your experience. It is difficult sometimes when the price sellers want are unrealistic and cannot be achieved within the quick 28 days timescale of our selling process. Unlike traditional estate agents, we do not make unrealistic promises on prices that are simply not achievable. Our sales staff are trained to do destop valuations with clients instantly and sometimes these conversations do not go so well when it's not 'good news'. However, we should put this news across better and we have take this up with the sales person involved. Good luck with your house sale.

GoogleSeriously lacking in the business ethics/morals department. I went through their process and my offer was accepted on a property, I paid my deposit to secure it. They later accepted a higher offer.
I won't be dealing with them again, and from a buyer's perspective, I would recommend steering clear.
Paul · 13 June 2017 · National Residential Chester
Agent replied · 11 June 2024
Hi Paul - sorry about your experience but our job is to get the very best price for the seller. We are crystal clear in our Online Bidding T&C's that in the 24-48 hour qualifying period that should a higher offer be received we are obliged to put it to the seller. Please see Clause 4 in our TC&s: http://national-residential.co.uk/downloads/National-Residential_ONLINE_BIDDING_TERMS_AND_CONDITIONS.pdf.
In your case, we received a higher offer the very same day as you paid your deposit. We contacted you and gave you the opportunity to increase your offer but you declined.
When you registered to bid on the 19th September you agreed to these T&C's

GoogleAbsolutely terrible and this is from a buyer . Everything was fine till I called up as wanted a second viewing and the way the agent spoke was like of a "cowboy". Completely in a hurry to cut me off and when I asked him to pass the phone to someone else he refused and again as a cowboy " I am the manager so you speak to me only ". His name is TOM and after him not passing the phone to anyone else as per my continuous requests he hung up . I will be emailing the owner or CEO of national residence as am appalled at such terrible service . They will have the perfect response but clearly on saying I want to hold a second viewing no one has called me today as clearly TOM is not interested . I got an automated text about bidding deadlines but no call from anyone . This is for the apartment in westcliff - Hillborough road and feel bad for the seller who have chosen an estate agent with such a rude manager . David who I was speaking to before ( I think that is his name ) was absolutely fantastic .
Insia · 13 June 2017 · National Residential Chester
Agent replied · 11 June 2024
Hi Insia. I am sorry to hear about your poor experience. I have discussed this with Tom and the sales team and they should have handled your request for a 2nd viewing far more professionally. The bidding for this property was ending on the day you called in and this property was tenanted so it was not possible to arrange the viewing. It appears the sales team got frustrated at being unable to provide you with what you requested and handled the call unsatisfactorily. We should have handled that situation more sympathetically and professionally so please accept my apologies. David

GoogleAfter an agreed sale made through a local agent fell through, I felt National Residential was my best chance of staying on schedule even though I was extremely sceptical that they could deliver in 4 weeks what my local agent could not do in do in 8 months. I’m so glad I took the chance! They FAR exceeded my expectations, I got a great price for my property and their service was second to none. In hindsight, I wish I had chosen National Residential from the start.

TrustpilotPromises Above and Beyond, then can't deliver...
We used this company to try sell our home for us. They gave a good valuation initially, then within 10 days of it being on the market they asked us to reduce the price by £30/40 grand. Easy when it's someone else's money. The guy on the phone said this is not a scam honestly!! We declined and they took it off the market immediately. So much for 28 days. Each and every member of staff we dealt with were rude and barely said goodbye before hanging up. They are more suited to selling two up two downs in Merseyside, and beyond!! Steer clear of this bunch unless you want them to sell your garden shed, which they probably couldn't do either...
