As a buyer, I would recommend purchasing property through National Residential. The initial price negotiations were handled well and I think their process deadlines are effective in speeding up sales and weeding out slow or non-serious buyers. It was also flexible enough not to compromise our ability to complete necessary due diligence on the property. There was always someone to pick up the phone and when requested they took action promptly and effectively. They stayed on top of things throughout to ensure our sale went through quickly despite a combination of COVID and the Christmas break. Should another suitable property come up for sale through them, I wouldn't hesitate to put in an offer again.

David and his team are absolutely fantastic. I have purchased couple of properties from them now and love their hands on approach. I can go honestly say buyers and sellers both their interest were served during the process . There were few issues along the way however they stayed top of Everything and made sure Exchange and completion took place in time . We wanted to sell our rented house with vacant possession but had a difficult sitting tenant. National Residential helped us all the way by arranging survey, viewings, liaising with the tenant and eventually sell the property despite the current pandemic situation. Don't bother wasting your time trying to sell to/with this company. The company offers a disgustingly low amount, miss out key property features, change the valuation price in under 2 hours and the supposed "valuation" team are unable to accurately value your house. If you want a sale and you are not desperate, use a traditional estate agent instead. Scratch that - even if I was desperate - I wouldn't use this company!FURTHER UPDATE - PLEASE READ! In response to the company's reply below, please note that I was firstly offered 185K, the number of viewers was actually 9-15 (so clearly the facts below are incorrect) and then subsequently this price was reduced by 10K (now 175K) in under 2 hours! After Adil consulted with the person who remains unnamed, may I add, I was then told he "overlooked" a garage and a driveway that is clearly visible in the first image on Rightmove. Is this such a thorough job?? I think not. Further to this, Tom, the Sales Manager, himself, then asked if I would be willing to remove this review? I think that says a lot about this company... I should also add that other properties in the area have recently sold for around £235K - so, again, clearly shows a lack of valuation knowledge! Not to mention, the sales manager himself admitted "I do apologise for the service received earlier". I think this shows that even your own staff thought the service offered was substandard and definitely not an unfair or an unwarranted review! They even agreed that they would be equally as disappointed. With this in mind, I will therefore not be removing/upgrading the review and would only downgrade to 0 stars if I could!
Hi AndyTom and Adil both contacted you again to ask you to update or remove your review as we believed it was incorrect and unfair. Especially as I personally assisted a new member of our team to do his valuation and Adil called you back to explain. Regardless, I hope you get the price you are looking for.Your property has been unsold for 2 months at £200K because it is not in the same condition as those that sell for more. We run an auction and advised you it would sell for no mortgage than £180-185K in 28 days. You might sell for £190K in 3-6 months. This is our opinion borne out by the facts.I personally took the time to go through your sale with Adil who is doing valuation training l as I live off Hough Green in Chester and not far from your property.1. This 3 bed semi property STC £165K https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/73500550#/ - 2. Your property https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/86412130#/ - unsold at £200K3. This one STC at £219K https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/79796407#/ - this has conservatory; a block paved drive, large garage and decking. This adds about £10K for the conservatory; and £15-20K for the garage and the block paving and decking. So, we would expect your to sell for around £185-190K in comparison In addition working on these 3 comparable I also asked Adil how many viewings you received at £200K in the last 2 months. Adil mentioned this was 6. For a property to sell for the price its on the market for we expect 6 viewings/month so from your number of viewings this also suggested you would sell for £185-190K through the estate agent within 3-6 months.If a property sells for £185-190K through an agent in 3-6 months, then through our online auction we would sell for £175-180 in 28 days, hence Adil offered leaving you with a new price of around £175K net fixed price (as we pay legal fees and don’t charge agents fees) and this is a fair offer to make looking at the valuations.So, Adil did a thorough job on the valuation but called you back to double check some facts and t ask whether you could work with this price. I believe he has done a good job and I personally helped him do it. Maybe emailing this valuation information would have helped you understand it more, but most clients don’t ask for it so its not something we email every time.I would like to ask that you reconsider removing or updating your 1* review as we do thorough jobs with every aspect of our work but maybe we could have done a little better in our communication this time?

I wish I could give more stars to National Residential for their staff to work very efficiently. At the end of October, we called to book an appointment but I think no one was in office at that time but after a while called me back and promptly booked an appointment. After that, we liked the house and quick response to call and very friendly staff helped us to buy our first house. The staff stayed in touch with us throughout our buying house contract until we got the keys to our house. Even after that, they sent us best wishes msg for a new home. Our buyer for your property was able to complete sooner than your onward purchase was ready, but we could have coordinated matters more efficiently in the final week. There is obviously a risk element when using a modern auction site as there is a chance that you could lose your deposit, if for some reason your circumstances change and your unable to complete. However we had all the confidence in National Residential and the whole process was quick and relatively stress free. We would happily use this company again.

We hadn’t heard of a ‘modern auction’ until we came across National Residential. Our experience from our first enquiry through to completion of the property purchase was excellent. The communication we received from National Residential was clear, convenient (i.e. through text and email) and we received frequent updates during the negotiation and sale development. Our position as purchasers was considered professionally and we were offered a certain amount of flexibility in order for us to go ahead with the purchase. The service received throughout felt personal, professional and thorough. The experience overall was seamless and efficient. We were apprehensive that National Residential would be less involved than traditional estate agents but we found that a representative was in regular contact with solicitors and kept all parties updated with any developments. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust National Residential with the sale or purchase of future property.
