I recently bought my first home being sold under Miller Metcalfe Swinton. The process went through really quickly with thanks to Chloe. Chloe always picked the phone up straight away and was really great at liaising with the vendor and myself to allow things to be processed in a timely manner.

Proceed at your own risk especially if you buy their conveyancing package. They take no ownership of any problems once they have your signature. The branch manager at Culcheth does not support her staff. She’s too busy out on appointments. Myself and my buyer got the sale of the property over the line - no one else. Sales agents go on holiday - no handover - I knew more about what was happening than they did and before they did. Their conveyancing packages are a joke. Despite the fact that we nearly lost the sale, the conveyancing company had to sack their senior solicitor who handled part of the sale - they still continue to sell conveyancing packages. Feel sorry for the sales agents who have to deal with upset sellers and buyers. Not sure what they did for their money. They created a monster and elongated the sale to the point our buyer had to get a mortgage offer extension and we eventually completed on the day his mortgage offer would have run out! Will never use them again or recommend using them.

GoogleI have personally used Miller Metcalfe to buy my house originally back in 2015 and then to sell the same house in 2022. The staff at each step were so helpful as they guided me through the stages. Any questions I had or reassurances I need were taken care of and questions quickly answered. If you are considering them as your estate agent I definitely recommend. Danielle who I dealed with directly during the selling process went and above and beyond to ensure the selling of my house went through smoothly. The team are all wonderful and have so much experience.

Google5* all the way! From start to finish the experience with Miller Metcalfe was second to none! Their dedication to selling our beautiful family home of nearly 40 years was empathetic, personalised and most importantly honest. After 3 short weeks of our property being listed we had 4 viewings and we had an offer accepted after the first round of viewings....Textbook! If you are looking for an agent that puts their clients at the heart of what they do....look no further....Miller Metcalfe are the agents to use. I was surprised to see a negative Yell.com review of these Estate Agents, which had been given because they push to get the best price for a property. As that is the role of an estate agent, I am pleased to confirm that they did just that when we sold our property last year. I found them professional, straightforward, knowledgeable and realistic in the pricing of our property. We attracted lots of viewings and several offers, with Miller Metcalf keeping us fully updated throughout the management of our sale.

GoogleWe found Miller Metcalfe Bury to be dishonest and misleading with their handling of our original house purchase. The listing first stated the house had 3 bedrooms. This wasn’t true and it has since been listed with another estate agent as a 2 bedroom property. They also stated in their initial advert that the house had a garden. At the time there was no garden owned by the house, our solicitor also confirmed the purchase paperwork for the land had not been submitted at that time. Upon speaking with the manager about this they stated they were under no obligation to tell their letting agent who showed us around the property this [important] detail. We were assured the garden purchase was underway. 2 months later as the process dragged on we went up to speak to the neighbours who assured us that only ‘half’ of the garden shown on the advert pictures was being purchased. Miller Metcalfe denied all knowledge of this and the deal eventually fell through as we realised we’d been lied too. They also insisted they’d done nothing wrong although, funnily enough, once the property went back on the market a week later they took out the part about the house having a garden. We ended buying a different property with a more ethical estate agent but we lost a lot of money on our house sale due to wasting 3 months of time with Miller Metcalfe. I would advise against using this estate agent who didn’t even compensate us for the issues listed above which break their policy standards and code of ethics. Update - we finally took this up with the Property Redress Scheme who found that Miller Metcalfe Bury had been misleading in their dealings with us and ordered them to pay compensation. We’re grateful to the PRS for their help and support with this and hope it will deter MMB from putting other customers through the same treatment in the future.

Please allow our full apology for the experience you have received whilst purchasing a property with ourselves When we sell a property we are unable to market any home without full approval of the sales brochure and online description which is signed off and approved by the owners of the property. When the property that you were purchasing was introduced to the market the owners had stressed and proven to ourselves that they were in the process of purchasing the garden area, we had written proof of this and had no reason to doubt this information. The property that you refer to has since been sold with another estate agent and continues to be advertised with the garden in question. We hope this allows you to feel more at ease with the process and we have taken your review onboard and we will improve any future instructions.

Where to start? At the top we think because that is where the aggression came from. The "Sales Director" of the Harwood branch is rude, aggressive, arrogant. I could go on but what is the point. We will never, hopefully, have to deal with this company again.

GoogleMyself and my partner are first time buyers and recently just hit completion on our first property. I cannot thank Remi enough who has been amazing throughout the entire process. Any questions or queries we had she was more than happy to help right away, always got fast responses from her and nothing was ever too much trouble. Kept us in the loop regarding the vendors, the vendors solicitors, pushing our solicitors etc she has just been absolutely fabulous. As a first time buyer it can be terrifying because you are going into it blindly, but Remi has made it such a smooth and positive process for us. I cannot thank her enough. She is a credit to Miller Metcalfe! I would 100% recommend using them if you are selling or purchasing a property. Outstanding.

GoogleMy wife and I used Miller Metcalfe when buying our first home. We probably weren't the easiest customers, as I was quite vague about what I wanted, where and why. We dealt with the wonderful Shakira though, who made the process engaging and easy to understand, and helped shape sensible criteria for myself and my young family. She was really knowledgeable about the local area, went above and beyond in order to help us see our options in person. I'm really grateful for the service she offered.

Poor communication if you’re purchasing - watch out! Catalogue of errors, poor communication and don’t call back when they promise they will. My father arranged to go to the property he bought, with a heating engineer and met the Miller and Metcalfe representative there, however was refused entry at the door by a family member who said they’d told M&M they didn’t want any appointments that day - can’t get the communication right internally either. Also, M&M told my father an issue with the property had been fixed and paperwork should be with his solicitor within a matter of days… lies as this wasn’t the case and nothing was fixed and united utilities actually need to go out and investigate the property. Terrible, be aware if buying a property from this company. Also, no apology to my father - lack compassion and don’t seem to mind they’re caught out lying. **update** M&M called my father to check my identity and to let him know I’d left a 1* review - sadly STILL no apology for him. Just gets worse, try some integrity.
