Absolutely shocking service from the…

Absolutely shocking service from the Harwood branch. Hounded is in terms of wanting an offer on the property, and constant demands for information once offer had been accepted, but once you need information from them that’s when the barriers are put up and all of a sudden they are not interested. Too busy trying to get a sale instead of providing the correct information and good customer service. Would not buy through them even if they had my dream home advertised! - the fact the evidence you provided to property redress was not factual there was no other outcome expected! Also this doesn’t stop your customer service being awful!

Do not use this estate agent

Do not use this estate agent. I was with the Bolton branch, they did well to get volume of viewers however many were not in the market to offer anywhere near the asking price. Mainly however we heard from our viewers that they were not able to contact the estate agent to book a viewing in. Many said they waited weeks. Further to this, when we had viewings they did not follow up, they only did their jobs when we rang up and asked for feedback which prompted them to reach out and gather feedback. When they conducted viewings they did not show every room in our house so didn’t try to sell the property. Buyers were actively asking for our number as they did not want to deal with the estate agents. We even had an offer which we knew about from email, no one from the estate agent followed up to see if we accepted. We had to ring them. Our concerns were voiced numerous times and nothing changed. We needed a quick sale to proceed as we had a property in mind, this did not happen due to their level of service and we have had to take our house off the market. They will sign you up very quickly and smoothly, then their service drops. Avoid this estate agents. Additional to review following reply- the offer was followed up once at 5.32pm, however the day after it was not followed up at all until I called them in the afternoon (purposely waiting to see if they would follow up). The vendor actually contacted me directly as they could not get through to the estate agent. Do not believe the generic replies - Avoid this estate agents.

It was a good start but as time went on I felt it went off the boil. Lots of time wasters coming to view with no intention of buying, communication from Roxy and Thomason was great, as this lengthy period went on I emailed to take it off the market, this never happened, eventually a buyer was found and again a lengthy process of silence, we’d given up if I’m honest, then received a call to ask us to be out in one week, when I said this was impossible they asked Why? I then agreed personally with the buyers a reasonable date to vacate and complete. I did a lot of the negotiation myself. I do repeat though that Roxy & Thomason are a credit to your business

A good start

It was a good start with Miller Metcalfe but as time went on the service deteriorated. Roxy and Thomason were great with communication but after a long process was asked by MM to exchange and vacate my home in a week, when I said that’s impossible I was asked why? I agreed with the buyers 3 weeks. Still a challenge but we did it.

The Bolton team were excellent

I can’t rate the Bolton team enough, especially Shakira. We were buying our first home and didn’t really know what to do or what to expect. Shakira and the team were always easy to get in touch with, really helpful and reassuring, always replied to our emails. They couldn’t do enough to help us, even talking us through things our solicitor should really have been explaining. Buying a house in the UK is a stressful experience, but having such good communication from the agent was so helpful.

Miller Metcalfe sold my house in just 7 days. I think I was very lucky to have a buyer straightaway, which was probably unusual. The pictures they took were a very good quality. The sale went through without a hitch, so I didn't need their help much, but when I had a question they were quick to answer. The only criticism is they didn't follow through with a promised e-copy of the pictures for my archive, despite two phone calls. I would thoroughly recommend their service.

Professional and diligent
