After an initial attempt at selling last autumn we tried Michael Graham and are so glad we did. They were a pleasure to deal with and marketed our property very effectively and we soon had a good offer after half a dozen excellent, qualified viewings. They didn’t just leave us to our own devices after the offer but provided help and advice all the way through to completion. Perhaps more importantly, they built a good relationship with our buyers and looked after them properly too. Disinterested, rude and lack of any service at all.

My husband and I are a professional couple moving back from the UK to France after 10 years away.We are searching for a rental property to begin with whilst we settle back in and then have a budget of £800k to buy a property. We contacted Michael Graham Aylesbury office to make an enquiry about renting as we like the look of some of their properties. On my second conversation with them I flagged a concern with them which was would they need to meet us in person for the right to rent checks. They emailed back to say yes. As we don't live in the country, and as my husband, to complicate matters further, works overseas (not UK or France) this would not be possible for us so I replied and ask if there was a way round this. I never heard from them again! Firstly, this is a concern that other agencies have overcome. Of course there is a work-around, like in anything in life. In any case, to just not respond is rude and also staggeringly short-sighted. I wrote to the Managing Director to hear his views but he didn't bother to reply either. Tellingly, their Facebook page review facility is switched off. We are pleased to have now found a partner agency who have helped us find a rental property and who will in the near future help us buy. This has been a very stressful time for us, relocating back to the UK and having to do it all from a distance. Michael Graham have lost out, but so have we on their properties, and all so unnecessarily.

First Agent I have been Happy with at the End of the Process.

We sold and bought via Michael Graham. The Brexit uncertainty was really slowing the market down and it took a year with them to find a house and sell ours but these were our 3rd Agent in two years, the other two having failed to get any offers (one any viewings) for the year previous to us moving to Michael Graham. Once with them viewing were regular and always accompanied, I found everyone at Michael to be polite and friend and listen to our needs and requirements. We ended up with a reasonably long chain which Simon and his team worked very hard to keep together and keep us informed of what was happening at each stage. Thank you very much to Magda, Olly and Simon for all their efforts, much appreciated.

Alex Naylor helped us sell our property within a couple of weeks with 3 different parties making offers that suited our asking price. There were back to back viewings on certain days. Alex was polite, professional and extremely patient. He always took my (often lengthy) calls, even beyond social hours and on Sundays. His phone never went on voicemail. All my text messages were responded to promptly often followed by a call or a quick visit if needed. Our house was attractive but it was facing a lot of competition from cheaper yet better properties locally. Also, to make things worse, there had been a distress sale by a neighbour with a house identical to ours for almost a £100k less. This had skewed the market and we called 17 EAs to guesstimate the price of our property. We picked Alex because he did not boast, or behave over-enthusiastically. He stayed reasonable and was very confident of defying the skewed market to get us a price that the house actually deserved. It was a large house with a cramped kitchen. Alex and the rest of his able colleagues supervised the viewings. listing every selling point of our property to the potential buyers. Showing them how such a kitchen can be extended to make the property something to die for. They were punctual and gave us clear feedback with good advice to both, us and the parties interested in the property. Alex kept us posted about the chain and eventually helped us secure a brilliant deal with a keen buyer who was renting. Simply put, smiles and peace of mind throughout. But, that is not why I am writing this review. Alex proved to be a pleasant source of empathy, excellent advice and professional support during a very taxing time with our purchase. He walked us through buying our dream home by being available for immediate advice, in person and over the phone. Alex guided us during an arduous bidding war. We bagged our purchase a couple of days after accepting the final offer on our sale. If it were not for Alex, we would've either lost that purchase to another party, or paid beyond our means. His step by step advice on this matter was well within his professional ethics, yet beyond what he was obliged to do for us as his vendors. These were tough times and we were on a rollercoaster. Alex was always around for clearing doubts and removing fears. This will remain with us. Oliver (sorry I cannot remember the second name) took amazing pictures of our house making it look like something out of a decor magazine. He clearly enjoys what he does and is very passionate about bringing out the best in every click. He doesn’t give up till he gets that perfect snap. This is quite evident in the Michael Graham brochures. Thanks Olly. I congratulate Richard Michalski for having a brilliant team that includes Alex Naylor, Michael Conlon, Georgina Cross, Stephanie Finch. A bright bunch. Five star review for a five star treatment. MG were excellent throughout our purchase process. They provided knowledgeable and timely advice on everything we needed to know, which as a first time buyer was quite a lot! Our agent, Michael, kept in touch with us throughout and guided us smoothly through the sale with a smile all the time. We were lucky with the time of year and a good solicitor too, but it only takes one link to break and the chain collapses, and at no stage was I ever concerned about anything with MG. Don't plan on moving again for about thirty years, but if I do it'll be with them :)
