GoogleI'm renting from this agency the second time now and they are very responsive even during this time. Osai has been particularly helpful in securing a flat for me when I thought I lost it and the other person happened to drop out. The renting process is very clear and smooth.

GoogleWithout the continued advice and support from Lauristons during our property sale it would have been 1000x more stressful - without a doubt. Where solicitors went quiet or kept us in the dark, Myah was the first to check in and keep us updated on where we were in the process which was extremely reassuring. Myah, Michael and Darren were superb and I felt we received a service above and beyond what we had received from estate agents.

GoogleInitially were great at sorting the move-in process. However, failed to respond to multiple reports of a rat infestation that worsened with time, was then informed 'rats were to be expected in london' following months of inaction from either the landlord, Manu or the lettings manager. Coming back to a rat-infested house is absolutely disgusting, as well as having to personally pick up dead rats from the traps because of a lack of action from Manu Bedinanze - who was incompetent, abrupt and generic in his replies to emails. It was only when the lettings manager got involved that anything definitive was sorted. I would encourage anyone considering letting to avoid Lauristons due to their overall incompetence. You would be better off choosing another agency to safeguard your tenancy, one with more competent staff and with better training is customer service (i.e not shouting to a customer/talking over them down the phone). I wouldn't use their services again and would encourage any other individuals to not use their service. There are other alternatives which aren't going to cost you your livelihood or wellbeing.

As the managing agent of the property we do take our duty of care seriously and endeavour to resolve issues like the ones you describe quickly. In this case delays were caused by other/external parties on the instruction of the necessary work required to resolved the issues you describe and for this reason your landlord agreed to waive your final months’ rent as a gesture of goodwill for your inconvenience. GoogleSomeone in this agency facilitated problematic subletting, and has caused myself and others a great deal of unnecessary stress in doing so. My landlords tried to rent their house to two tenants through Lauristons. Someone in Lauristons took advantage of them, and let the property to two people who run a separate property letting company. Those people then let the property to me and 4 others. Our landlords were out of the country for a while, and were completely unaware this was happening. The second company converted the living room into two separate bedrooms by erecting a wall in the centre, which breached the original tenancy agreement. One of the rooms created by this was windowless. For a while, a two bedroom house became home to 5 people, with one toilet. This ruined my expectations, and there were many more unpleasant incidents that followed on from this. Our real landlords realised what was going on when Lauristons failed to reply to them sufficiently. Thankfully when they found out, the landlords were kind to us, allowing us to stay. They told me that Lauristons were threatening them over the whole thing, despite completely deceiving them. Overall, London is plagued by subletting and property scams, as there are many selfish individuals who want to make quick money by exploiting others. I would never use Lauristons for this reason. However, there are a lot of good reviews here, and overall they seem reputable on the surface. It was therefore perhaps the actions of one employee that instigated this whole situation. Though, it is likely this person is still within their organisation, so I would avoid it like the plague.NegativeProfessionalism
