Despite not buying through this branch - I can't praise Martyn enough! I am disabled & need more help with things like videos or face-time viewings. Martyn went above & beyond. I didn't feel like a bother when requesting the additional help. Out of 6 local agents, JW Wood have so far been the best. Accommodating my needs & responding super quickly to my enquiries. Other agents need to do more to help people with disabilities, treat people respectfully, JW Wood have set the bar very high! Thank you 😊

Very professional agency. Martyn was professional, likeable and knowledgeable. Although our house was higher than average price range for the area (and was therefore taking a while to sell), Martyn advised us NOT to reduce. We sold soon after for only a small amount less than the asking price, so he was right. Elizabeth, Amanda and Barbara in the office were always cheery and helpful.

I used JW Woods to buy my house in 2019 and they were the only agent that didn't send me houses that didn't match my requirements list. I have just used them again to sell the house. Martyn Hunter came and did the valuation and the photos and was pretty spot on with the pricing as we had offers on the house within a couple of weeks. It is now sold STC Barbara Smith has kept me in the loop with everything that has been happening and has been extremely helpful. 100% happy with them.

My experience of dealing with the team in Bishop Auckland has been a-maz-ing!; from the initial "walk-round" of the property with Martyn to the day-to-day dealings with Amanda, Elizabeth and Barbara in the office, who were handling the deluge of enquiries and viewings, everyone has been super friendly and very efficient. We have gone from putting the property on the market to accepting an offer well above the asking price, with almost 70 viewings in between, all within a month, which was far in excess of anyone's initial expectations. A special mention needs to go to Amanda who has done a fantastic job managing the "best and final" process and has being instrumental in getting us to where we are today. Thank you all so much for going "above and beyond" and for making a process I wasn't really looking forward to so straightforward.

Barbara from JW Wood has been an amazing sales representative and I could not have asked for anyone better to support myself and my husband through the processes of purchasing our first home. Barbara has been swift in her communications and extremely informative. She has made sure that we are aware of everything that was required from us and the process so far has been smooth and efficient. A huge thank you from us!

We worked with Sarah as our letting agent when we moved abroad and rented out our home, and she was simply fantastic. She handled all the paperwork smoothly and connected us with excellent local contractors for things like window replacements, decoration, and electrical checks. Now that we’re in China, she’s been a huge help, always available via WhatsApp to sort out any issues that come up. We really appreciate her professionalism and would definitely recommend her services!

I had the pleasure of working with Martyn Hunter and his fantastic team at JWW during my recent property purchase, and I couldn't be more impressed. From the initial viewing and followup viewings, to assisting us with knowing the area and local conveyancing, it has been a great journey so far. Their approach was nothing short of exceptional. Martyn and his team were always attentive, responding promptly to any queries and providing clear, insightful advice every step of the way. Their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine commitment to ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience made all the difference. We recently complete the auction of our house in Bishop Auckland. The staff at JW Wood were a pleasure to work with, marketed the house beautifully, and worked hard to get viewings. The house sold for above estimate - I think this was largely down to the hard work of JW Wood - particularly Martyn and Barbara. They were a pleasure to work with. Based on our experience I cannot recommend them more highly.

Having dealt with both Amanda and Barbara from JW Wood Estate agents, I can honestly say that they were both “a breath of fresh air” so polite and friendly, it made the start of purchasing a house stress free. Barbara is so knowledgeable in her role and I had no worries that she had my wife and I best interests at heart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic service, Martyn was reassuring, honest and very helpful when valuing our house, great phots. Used there viewing service, Stacey does a brilliant job of showing prospective buyers around our house. They kept in touch with us constantly about viewings, feedback and offers. Would recommend JWWoods for buying and selling your home.
